Dirt

One morning I woke up and found this wonderful mess...

Yup, that is dirt. I planted some seeds the other day and stuck them on a table in Blake's room. I thought I had put enough distance between the crib and the table, but I was wrong. I woke up and found dirt in the crib, on the floor, on Blake's mouth, just everywhere. And of course, Blake just laughed at me. Too bad it wasn't Brian's turn to wake up with him.
Blake and Brian in their suits on Sunday

Blake in his swimming shorts. They're a little big, but he'll grow into them for the summer. Now all we're missing is the bright warm sun and then I can get him a little kiddie pool to play in. This kid loves the water

Fun Times

My new favorite thing is sitting in the rocking chair while Blake just sits on my lap. He hasn't done that in LONG time. It's not a normal thing, but a few days ago he got a runny nose and cough, which turned into an ear infection and a fever. He has not been feeling the best and just wants to sit in your lap, so that's what the past few days have been for me. In fact, he's currently helping me blog. Although he's not much of a helper yet.
Blake also decided to get another tooth in the middle of all of this sickness. Awesome timing. That brings the tooth count to 8. 4 on top and 4 on bottom.

I got Blake some thermal pajamas the other day. I think they're the cutest things ever

9 Months!

My little boy is not so little anymore. He's 9 months old today. We went to the Dr and I thought we would have a very easy appointment since he didn't need any shots. I was wrong. When the Dr. came in he gave him a popsicle stick to play with, which made Blake very happy. However, the Dr. had to take it back to hold his tongue down and look in his mouth. Blake hated it. I had to hold his hands down, because he kept hitting the Dr's hand away. The Dr. handed the stick back to him, but Blake threw it on the floor and started whining. He's not a big fan of the Dr's office. I took him to a restaurant and gave him some good mexican food and that cheered him right up. He's such a fun little boy.
I put his hair up in a Mohawk today and everyone loved it. He's in the 94th percentile for his height and head circumference, and 34% for his weight. He's a tall skinny boy. I'm hoping Basketball is his favorite sport.

Trouble Maker

This little trouble maker is starting to pull himself up to things. I caught him doing this the other day. He just about pulled all of that paper and books onto his head. So not safe. So now that bookshelf can only be full of toys.

The very first time he pulled himself up onto his legs. I was very excited.
I heard him whining the other day and I went over and saw this. He had no idea how to get himself down. So he decided whining for Mom is the best option.
But once he saw the camera, he started to smile. The little faker
I found this warm up suit at the store and I thought it was perfect. But when I got home and tried it on him, I decided that I probably wouldn't put him in it very much. So it went back to the store. But I still had to get a picture of him in it.
He was having fun playing under there, until he couldn't figure out how to get out.
This boy loves to sleep on his tummy. Every time I go in, he's like this. Which is so odd to me because for a LONG time I had to force him to do tummy time.
More pictures that I had to stick on

This blog has turned into an all-about-Blake Blog. But why not. He's my little boy and he's my favorite person. So you're going to hear about him A LOT.
