For the Living Room...

It is so like me to want to redecorate ALL the time. I desperately want to replace our annoying microfiber couch and loveseat to leather. It was great when we were first married and on a small budget. But now, I feel it's time to "grow" up and have a little more sophistication. I'm not saying my decorating isn't nice because let's face it...it's all Pottery Barn but, it could use a little face lift. So, I have picked out some new pillow covers...just to change things up a bit!

I have decided on these Quilted Silk pillows in Blue Smoke

Along with these, Faux- Sheepskin Pillows
Faux-Sheepskin Lumbar Pillow Cover, 16 x 26"
And one of these Grand Chenille Pillows in Blue Smoke as well

I would also like to add in this Faux-Sheepskin Throw but, they didn't have it in the store :-(

I am also thinking of adding the Marissa Ceramic Handled Vase as an accent piece with some flowers (it looks a lot bluer in person, promise)

And I am totally LOVING these lamps for the end tables

I haven't found the perfect couch and loveseat yet but, I know I want them to be brown and as Brandon calls them, "Library style, masculine, like it's in a professors office or something"

So, what do ya think so far?! Be honest now...

I'm Not A Blog Virgin Anymore!

Alright Blog World... or whatever you bloggers call it...

WARNING...I'm completely new at this, so please bare with me.

2 1/2 years ago I moved away from my friends, and home I had known for the past 4 years. My husband joined the United States Marine Corps and moved me to Camp LeJeune (Jacksonville, North Carolina). I like to call this place: the armpit of North Carolina. My husband and I WANTED to move to NC. We felt that it would be best to be on the Eastern side of the U.S. where our families lived. I was going to finally start college (after waiting 4 years while in the Air Force). We both knew it wouldn't be long before he deployed so, it seemed like the smart choice. It sounded so perfect!

Had I known it would be a small town, full of rednecks and jacked up trucks...I would have totally changed my mind!

My best friend (LOVE her!) set up this wonderful blog for me. We figured it would be a great way for us to communicate at any time of day- considering we lived in different time zones. We would post the latest happenings, things we found while online shopping, pictures, etc. The problem was...I always made excuses about not knowing what to write, plus I didn't have a whole lot of time. Remember, this was 2.5 YEARS AGO. Well, here I am today, in nursing school, fulfilling my dream of becoming a nurse, stressed out beyond my imagination, NO time to myself, and I eat when I can/remember!

But, I am committed to FINALLY blogging. The truth is, I love Kellie, but we like to talk. Our average conversation is over 2 hours. This is my way to "talk" to her when I don't have the hours to spend on the phone. Now, I can show her what I am loving, doing, my ideas for decorating my house, and Christian Louboutin shoes that I MUST have! So, Kellie, this one's for you.

I am LOVING these shoes....

And I must walk across the stage when I graduate in these...

That's all for now! I will be back sometime soon to show you the fabulous things I bought at Pottery Barn last week ;-)
