It seems like Clayton and I don't get to many pictures together.....b/c I am always taking them. I thought this pic was really good...and Clayton looks so cute in his bibs!

Yum Yum Cereal...

So from what I hear most babies try cereal and think it is weird and spit it out....not my Clayton Jay. He loved it from the moment it hit his lips. I think he had a lot of fun not only eating it but playing with his bib. I think it really filled his belly b/c after he was done he passed out on his daddy and then slept 9:30-5 a.m. Then back to sleep from 5:40-6:40 a.m.........

This year Blake and I decided to go to a tree farm to cut down the perfect tree. Of course we had to take Clayton with us b/c we didn't want him to miss out. So with Clayton in a sleeper, JD sweatsuit, and his Columbia jacket we headed out for a tree. He was in my sling with a blanket wrapped around him too.....so he was a toasty little guy. We found what we thought was a perfect tree until we got it home...but we won't go there. Needless to say, Blake and I thought about going to get a fake one and throwing ours away......but I guess it looks nice now...with the ornaments on it.

Back to reality...

This has been my first week back at work. It went much better than I had expected. On Sunday I was a mess......but when Monday came it wasn't that bad. I had to take Clayton to daycare b/c Blake was plowing snow. I think it was in my favor that the roads were bad b/c I had to concentrate on driving not what I was actually doing. I went to visit him on Monday and Tuesday during my lunch break to feed him. When I got there both times he was so happy so that made me feel much better. He is the only baby so that makes me feel better too. My mom watched him on Wednesday for me which was awesome. I knew he was in good hands all day....

This week has really gone pretty smooth. Clayton has been sleeping from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. We have to wake him up at 5 to get our morning started. I am just so happy that Clayton is a good sleeper and so "go with the flow." After he eats we put him back in his crib and he either falls asleep or plays with his rainforest.....so I can get ready. What a good baby!

9-10 weeks old

My mom watched Clayton on Wednesday. When I picked him up she had him in this cute outfit which is size 6-9 months. Sounds like I need to get out his bigger clothes and put all of the 3 months stuff away! I can't believe how fast he is growing. As you can see he is holding his head up really well in his bumbo seat. He loves it! I thought I would sneak in for a picture.....

Last Tuesday we had a play date at Audrey's house. Clayton is definitely the biggest! He finally has Logan beat we decided. The babies have grown alot and it is so funny how vocal they have all become.

Dr. Boe thinks Clayton's eyes will stay blue. They are such a pretty color right now (just like his daddy's). Blake and I call him baby blue eyes...so I kinda hope they stay blue. This outfit brings out his baby blues :-).


Clayton got tired of holding his head for Grandma Cyndee so he started being cute and sucking his fist. I was busy cooking so I didn't get a shot of him holding his upper body up...that will be soon to come! He is changing so fast!!!

Clayton had his 2 month dr. appt yesterday......here are his stats! What a big boy....

height 25 inches 97%

weight 14 lbs 15 oz 97%

Head cir. 16 1/8 in 75%

It looks like his stats are similar with his two weeks appt. He got his shots and cried alot. I have never seen him cry like that...what a sad moment. I definitly got teary eyed. He was really good the rest of the day. He slept alot and got fussy when he first woke up, but after he ate and started snuggling again he was fine. Dr. Boe said he can 't believe how strong he is....he probably has to be to hold up that 15 lb body!

2 months old!

Clayton really missed his daddy b/c he was gone this weekend for the annual Ozarks clean up trip. They had to "get the house ready for the winter."


Last week we put Clayton in his bumbo seat for the first time. He really likes it and usually smiles for me when he is in it.....he is holding his head up much better now!



This is how I get things done around the house when Clayton wants my attention.....We both like to snuggle!

I was in the shower and heard Clayton making noses....I had just enough time to go get my camera to take pictures of him smiling and laughing at himself in his swing. His swing is his favorite thing. He loves to look at himself in the mirror and watch the mobile.

2 month update:

Clayton still only really gets upset when he is hungry.....he is hungry all the time! He can now look at you when you talk to him (most of the time). He also can grab and hold onto things like my hair, shirts, fingers, anything he wants really. The best thing he does is "talk" to you. He coos, laughs, and smiles all the time!

Last week he moved from the bassinet in our room to his crib. He is doing great in his crib. We decided to move him because he was crying alot and not falling back asleep. One night he ended up sleeping with me for part of the night. So the next day I decided enough of that and he has been in his crib ever since. He has slept two night all night......so hopefully that continues pretty soon!

Diaper Explosion!

Okay what do you do when you wash a diaper (thank god a clean one) with rest of your babies clothes?

Well I know the answer...b/c somehow I did it!

I went downstairs to switch Clayton's laundry....I started pulling things out of the washing machine and noticed everything had little goey clear sticking balls on it. Ding Ding Ding I washed a diaper with Clayton's clothes.

Well what you do to fix this problem (no don't throw it all away....that thought crossed my mind)....you wash his clothes again (maybe 3 times) with 1/2 cup of salt. I found this on someone's blog. Thank god for BLOGS!!!!!

They are one month apart and my little monster is as big or bigger than Megan.

Clayton really likes to sit up and look around. So I leaned him against a pillow so he could look around. I went to get my camera and when I started taking his picture this is what he did. What a huge smile! My baby loves being a big boy!

Clayton's first play date

Clayton got to see his friend Logan on Tuesday at their first group play date at Audrey and Lindsey's house. Clayton was moving around so much it looks like he is punching Logan. He would never do that b/c they are best friends :-).

Clayton slept almost the whole play date. I knew I shouldn't of feed him before we left b/c once he is nice and full he passes out. He still likes to sleep like a froggy....you can see that in the pictures. I tired so hard to wake him up, that is why he doesn't have pants on. He almost had to get naked, but finally I got him up.

Okay the lineup.....Kinley (5 weeks), Clayton (5 weeks), Logan (9 weeks), Audrey (9 weeks), and Ethan (9 weeks). If Clayton was streched out he is almost as long as Logan. Logan definitly has him beat on the tummy department (so cute). He will catch up soon enough. I think I have a big boy on my hands...like his daddy!

All the babies had so much fun and the moms did too! It is really funny to see the differences between the girl babies and the boy babies. The girls make girly noises....it is so cute! We can't wait to go to Audrey's (and Lindsey's) house again!

5 weeks

We haven't seen much of daddy. They were combining by our house, so I took Clayton out for pictures. Of course he is sleeping....he was wide awake right before this picture :-(.

Clayton in vintage Babygro. This is Blake's coming home from the hospital outfit. It is a size 3 months (which Clayton already wears), but as you can see it is pretty small. I put it on him b/c Patty and Denny were babysitting him this night.

One month old!

How is my baby one month old? Wow time flies......

This week he had his first "big boy" bath....in the actual bath tub. He LOVED it! Usually he cries when I give him a bath but he really enjoyed kicking his legs and the warm water. It definitly makes bath time WAY more enjoyable for the both of us. I can't wait to take him to the Ozarks.....hopefully he takes after his mommy and loves to swim!

On Sunday Clayton and Aunt Taylor took a nap on the couch while Alisha and I started Clayton's scrapbook. Alisha did most of the work.....but I did get a few impressive pages done and alot done around the house.

Last week Clayton really started focusing more on my face when I talk to him. He is starting to look around more and really having a personality. And boy when he is hungry he is hungry....that is about the only time he is fussy (thank god!). I guess he was fussy this week b/c of a really sore bottom.....we pretty much solved that problem thanks to Lotrimin and Desitin. I am so glad it is almost healed!

Clayton's first bachelorette party

My friend Sara Brown is getting married Nov. 8th. This past saturday we celebrated with a bachelorette party for her. We got spa treatments then started the party at Amanda's house. It was a lot of fun to see everyone.....especially Kelly my bff from Chicago. Here are a few pics....Aunt Alisha helped me watch him so I could have a good time too!

This last one was a photo shoot me and Clayton did. I think this one is really good and he looks so innocent. Watch out ladies!

It's a girl!

Michelle and Brandon (my sister and brother-in-law) just found out that they are expecting a baby girl on March 3. Clayton will have a baby girl cousin to play with. We couldn't be happier for them! YEAH!
