DC Midsummer

Hello, crafters!

Summer’s here and Jenny from the Daring Cardmakers wants to celebrate Midsummer with us!

Midsummer’s day is a day to appreciate all the gifts that nature provides. This week Jenny dares you to make a card inspired by Midsummer. Share your appreciation of nature and maybe even include some natural elements e.g. pressed flowers, leaf prints etc.

I challenged myself to use all oft he new stamps from this (Action) set. There are quite a lot… so I used some on the inside of the card(s) too.

Here you can see the whole "collection":

I used the rose stamps for a card and a bookmark.

And here's the bouquet of flowers.

And finally some more "meadow flowers".

DC Vamos a la playa ... life's a beach!

 Hello, crafty people!

The Daring Cardmakers have a new challenge for you.

I’m just back from my holidays on Mallorca and I’m enjoying hot temperatures and a pool around here as well.

So the topic fits perfectly:

Vamos a la playa … life’s a beach!

Summer’s here and I hope that we all have some time at the beach or pool or other kind of water planned for this summer. Use a „beach element“ on your card: sea shells, sand, a parasol, a beach chair, flip flops … whatever you associate with life at the beach/water.

DC Pearls

Hello crafty people!

Joanne picked the topic for the Daring Cardmakers.

Pearl

Pearl is one of the birthstones for June – make something inspired by the glowing beauty of the pearl. You might embellish your card with flat back pearls or dimensional pearl drops, use pearlescent paints on cardstock, an image of a pearl in ist shell or perhaps someone wearing pearl jewellery. We’d love to see how you’re inspired by pearls!

I used some flat backed pearls to embellish my card:

DC June Elemental Inspiration

It’s June!

And here is the Daring Cardmakers picture for the June Elemental Inspiration.

And here’s my card. I picked the boat, a flag, blue colours and a maritime feeling.

Inside you’ll find the North German greeting „Moin“ which is used at the German coasts (North and Baltic Sea).
