DC boxes and bags

 Good morning, crafters!

The Daring Cardmakers dare you to create a

box or gift bag this week.

… and maybe you’ll even make a coordinating card.

I created a box which has a very interessting opening mechanism. And you can fit more in there than you might think.

I followed this tutorial by Liebesfuchs. It's in German, but you will probably find an English one as well.

I decorated a candle and a match box and have a little „advent box“ now.

What kind of box will you make?! Share it with the Daring Cardmakers. We would love to see your projects!

DC Christmas jumpers

 Hello, crafters!

The Daring Cardmakers have a  new challenge for you:

This week please share your cards on a theme of

All Dressed Up

We'd like to see your Christmas Jumpers, or Mittens, boots, hat or scarf.... or if you'll be somewhere warm this Christmastime maybe you'll be thinking Christmas T-shirts, flip-flops and beachwear instead - its up to you

I have a perfect patterned paper for this challenge in my new paper pad. It has the cutest Christmas jumpers on it:

I thought that the twine goes perfectly with the knitted jumpers.

Have a relaxed and crafty weekend!

Shopping Saturday

Paper shopping

Besides all the crafty goodies from „Action“ I also ordered some Christmas papers online. And I had to add the cute owl stamp to my order as well. Now I am well prepared for my Christmas crafting!

DC Georgeous gifts

Hello, crafters! The Daring Cardmakers let the Christmas countdown continue …

Here is this week’s topic:

Gorgeous Gifts
We'd love to see anything on a theme of Gifts this week.
A card featuring parcels all wrapped up, a gift you've made for a friend, or how about a card and gift combined? This could be a bookmark, gift card or a little chocolatey treat as an added extra on your card.

I used some very old stamps that show wrapped up parcels and added them on patterned paper.

From the leftovers I created a bookmark. So I even have a little gift which will go with the card.

Shopping Saturday

 Action shopping

In the summer holidays I visited a friend in Bavaria and ended up in an „Action“ shop. They had a very different range of products compared to „my“ usual shop. Especially lots of papers and die cuts, which I love. So I bought quite a lot.

At that time I thought about buying a crafty advent calendar from one of my favourite online craft stores. But instead I decided to buy 24 cheap crafting products.

Now I challenge myself to use all of the products till the end of the year and use as many of them as possible for my Christmas crafting (cards, evelopes, boxes etc.).

If you like, you can watch this space and see how well I’m doing in the next few weeks 😉

DC November inspirational picture

Hello crafters! With the start of November the countdown to Christmas is starting at the Daring Cardmakers blog.

The next Fridays you will find challenges that will hopefully help you to get plenty of inspiration and motivation to create some Christmas cards for your loved ones.

Today we start with this inspirational picture:

I recreated the word „joy“ with the huge letters and the snowflake as the „o“.

In the background you can see a wood pattern …

… and in the end I added some rhinestones.
