DC Cut it up

Hello, hello! It’s Friday, it’s summer 😊 and here is the new Daring Cardmakers challenge –  what a perfect day!

The topic is: Cut it up!

Use some of your favourite papers that you don’t want to cut because you love them so much … and you want to save them for a very special occassion … Use them now! Enjoy working with them! I love this big floral paper pad that I recently bought:

love the big pad - I don't like the smaller ones (quality, thickness etc.)

And I love all of the cards that I make with these papers. I combined the beautiful papers with a cool card technique/layout I saw in Sophie’s lovely tutorial here.

It’s great to hide a stamp and/or greeeting inside.

Hallo, ihr Lieben! Es ist Freitag, super sonnig und hier ist die neue Herausforderung der Daring Cardmakers – eine nahezu unschlagbare Kombi.

Diese Woche möchten wir euch herausfordern endlich das Papier zu zerschneiden, dass ihr seit Ewigkeiten hütet, weil ihr es nicht übers Herz bringt zu zerschneiden und dass auf die ganz besondere Gelegenheit wartet… die perfekte Gelegenheit ist jetzt, oder? Also ran ans Papier.

Ich liebe meinen neuen großen Papierblock von Action. Die Qualität ist super. Ich mag die Dicke des Papiers sehr gerne und liebe die Muster, vor allem die floralen. 

(Mit den kleinen Blöcken komme ich gar nicht klar. Die habe ich schon aussortiert.)

Das habe ich mit der netten Kartenidee von Sophie kombiniert, bei der ich diese Art von Layout/Technik hier zum ersten Mal gesehen habe.

Schaut doch mal bei Sophie vorbei! Sie ist sehr sympathisch und hat tolle Ideen.

DC Midsummer's Day

Hello, crafty people! Today the Daring Cardmakers want to celebrate Midsummer with you.

Nat picked the excellent topic: Midsummer’s Day

This week I'd like to see your cards in celebration of Midsummer's day - the longest day of the year here in the northern hemisphere and sometimes one of the prettiest summer sunsets to boot...

There are so many summer themes to choose from, but you will get extra gold stars if you make a card inspired by Shakespeare's play, A Midsummer Night's Dream. :D

Last year we were blessed with a tropical summer from May to October – and so many people were complaining about it. Not me! And I miss it!

So I am more than willing to celebrate summer with it’s heat, cool drinks and bright colours today … and for the rest oft he summer.

My friend gave me these lovely summer products for my birthday (in September) I haven’t used them that often. Because they are so pretty and because I wasn’t in a very summery mood yet.

I already made some cards for my colleagues to wish them awesome summer holidays (they won’t start until August).

Bisher war der Sommer eher schüchtern… hoffentlich wird er noch ein bisschen mutiger und bleibt noch ein bisschen länger. Ich vermisse die topische Hitze des letzten Jahres 😉!!!

Diese Karten sind schon für meine liebsten Kolleginnen, um ihnen Ende Juli schöne Sommerferien zu wünschen.

DC Come, fly with me

Happy Friday, everyone! It’s time for the next Daring Cardmakers challenge.

I'd like to see all kinds of things that fly on your cards: birds, bees, planes, kites, superheroes... whatever comes to mind.

I used this cute penguin on my card. It’s for my niece’s 2nd birthday in August 😊. Penguin are super cute, but sometimes I feel sorry for them that they can’t fly…. so I gave my penguin enough balloons to fly away.

Ihr könnt alles auf euren Karten unterbringen, was fliegen kann: Ufos, Drachen, Superhelden, Vögel, Flugzeuge etc.

Ich habe eine Pinguinkarte für meine Nichte gebastelt. Schade, dass die goldigen, dicken Pinguine nicht fliegen können … aber mit genug Luftballons habe ich meine Pinguin auf seine weite Reise geschickt.
