there's something wrong with my blogger!!
still finding out how to fix it, but for the time being, i guess i'll just deal with it. the codes are all over the place...
Been a week or plus!! HOWWW!!! NOOOOo!!!!!!! Thinking of finding somewhere else to up some entries on what's happening these days. I'm owe-ing loads of entries!! gosh!!!
I owe miss Evee a meal, and there we are, at Manpuku!
I wanted to check out uniqlo, thus took the bus 168 all the way to temp1. Tamp1 is one of the coolest area in Singapore NOW. I can find most of the stuff that I want in tamp1 and tamp mall it seems.. they just got to add a kinokuniya and they will be the next orchard road! SERIOUS!
At the age of 20, i'm no longer a fan of fastfood. Fries, Fried chicken, burgers wouldn't attract me nowadays. Thus a village of japanese food, its love! They have got almost everything! from curry rice, to omelette rice, to udon to ramen.. gosh! We didn't manage to try everything, but here's our meal!!
ウニ! Uni Sushi! Ms Evee wanted to try Uni, thus here it is! Uni, or sea urchin, has a lil bit of fishy stench, but its darn freaking nice! Tastes like fish, but as a creamy softer texture. Like a softer version of salmon sashimi. Salty but sweet at the end of the throat.
Ramen Stand! Honestly I think the ramen is Totally not as good as the ones i tried in japan. There isn't a springy feel to it. Lost its Q-ness somewhere. But it is better than the ones out there though.. Anyway, the best ramen I have eaten here, is at Miharu, Sapporo Noodles.
Bought Shoyu CharSiew and Butter Miso. The Char Siew is no joke. One of the best! Looks fat, but its lean!
Desserts! Tarts, Tarts and more tarts!
There are loads of tarts, saliva drooling goodness!
They are darn good till the extend that customers are only allowed 4 pieces each.
Which means, you can only take-away 4 pieces. If you family is more than 4 including you, you have to find a mate to get in, to take his share!
Bought Banana Chocolate, Mango, and strawberry chocolate.
The betrayer bought strawberry chocolate, and in the end, hate it, coz the strawberry was darn sour!
Its freaking nice! Everybody! Let's go to Manpuku again!!!
Sherline Ho's Birthday Party! Happened like 2 weeks ago???
Sherline's Birthday Party! Been there, Done that! My so called elder sis, bestfriend and BBTea sponsor had just celebrated her 21st. Due to our ever complicated relationship, its a definate that I have to "show face" no matter how tired I am.....
Located at my top most hated place, pasir ris costa sand resort, jasmine ang, I took the train all the way after work, and took 168 all the back to woodlands. I travelled half or more than half of singapore within a night just for her!
Luckily there were a few representatives from RPWS!
Ron was friend enough to be there with me and friend enough to Sherline to attend.
THe only guy that went. Likewise, the important guys to her weren't there..
MC, Dan, Stan... gosh.
But we didn't bring love along though, so no worries! :)
For her 21st, may she become Slim, pretty and rich?
Happy 21st girl!
ps: stole pics from su's facebook, credits to her!
Chocolates and Chocolates! new chocolate palour, ch.c.late research facility!
I wonder who's reading, but heck! wheelock place has this cool new chocolate outlet, called ch.c.late research facility where they sell all sorts of chocolate flavours. Been there 3 times, and I can give you an outlook of the place.
They have different sectors, which are, orginal (from belgium chocolate to swiss etc), exotic flavours (cheese to sichuan pepper), coffee (tiramisu to expresso), tea (lavender to earl grey), fruity, fruity and nutty and of course, the alchoholic series.
Jasmine has bought, Cheese, banana and my fav, lychee martini!
If you're a guy, i don't think you would be into this chocolate outlet.
Why? Do you really need the cute packaging and the paper bag???
Honestly, taste wise, they are rather sweet. I'm not really into sweets thus, taste wise, i would give it a 3 stars out of 5. I couldn't taste the banana at all from my bananan chocolate.
But its nice as a gift due to the packaging.
Costs: $8-12 per bar.
Next on: Limited edition, for a short time period only...
Meiji's Pokka Coffee chocolate!
It is a collaboration with Pokka Coffee!!! Only found in Shaw House's Japanese Isetan Supermarket.
Limited for a short time being, how can i resist. I love the word LIMITED!
Darn, it fulfills my every needs.
It has this sweet chocolate outer shell that houses milk chocolate with pokka coffee.
The mixture together, gives it a sweet bitter taste while your mouth is filled with the coffee aroma~ Its definately LOVE!!! Plus each chocolate is being shaped as a coffee bean.
Jasmine checks out hokkaido fair~ quick! they are still at tamp mall for a short period of time!
Everybody, if you have read the straits times urban section, then you would have known the existance of isetan;s hokkaido fair~ Bringing in food all over hokkaido, from its seafood, to its ramen to its melon specialities. how can i resist the temptation? Being a foodie, obviously i would have dropped by since it is just right across the road. ps: it was previously @ shaw's
Here, i have uploaded some pictures of the items that I have tried. to any of you whom wants to drop by hokkaido fair, here are my top favourites!
Pullman's bakery; winner of tv champion Pullman bakery has brought in 2 specialities, curry bun $2.70 and salt caramel croissant $2.70. Jas says: if you only wanna try 1, try the salt caramel croissant. the salt caramel croissant is mostly sold out fast, in addition, the curry bun has testers. you can just pick the testers.
Please note, the curry bun is different from what you can find in four leaves etc. they don't have the singaporean style of chicken and egg. it is totally japanese curry (sweet) and potatoes. thus don't be disappointed and ask, "where is the egg ah?"
However, there's a reason why is good.. when brought home after a day, the bread continues to be crispy, with a soft fluffy dough in the insider. When bitten, thick japanese curry sauce will ooze out, providing a good texture with the slightly boiled potatoes. Definately filling.
As for the croissant, I have bought 2.
ALL FOR MYSELF! MUAHAHAHAhA!
Ate 1 on that day, and another 2 days later...
Guess what, the croissant smelt heavenly. Due to the caramel, it smells like candy coated freshly baked butter bread when toasted in the toaster.
The salt gave the croissant a balance from the caramel, giving you both sensations. Sweet at first and salt to balance. Like wise the curry bun. When bitten, it flakes like puff pastries and fluffy in the inside. Definately a thumbs up!
All sorts of croquette, hokkaido special!
Honestly, I have never seen so many kinds of croquette (in SIngapore) before.
Croquette isn't my kind of thing, coz to me, it just some deep fried potato with different stuffings.
This time round, came along with the hokkaido theme, introducing different flavours.
As hokkaido is darn cold, due to the geographic location, their people love to eat hot and soup stuff. Thus they had croquette of these flavours! Cream stew, crab cream stew, cream of corn etc.
jasmine says: tried crab cream stew, nothing much
Just tastes like some mushy cream stew for the filling. Couldn't taste the crab.
Disappointed. Costs $4 +per croquette.
All the way from Teshikaga, here comes kato suisan's oni ni kan bo!
Means taraba crab bun!!!!
I not only tried their crab bun ($13.20), I also tried their melon bun ($4.20).
Jasmine says: Melon bun!
Japanese buns are unlike singapore's char siew buns.
Their outer later tends to be harder. More towards the bread texture than fluff.
However, once you peel it apart, the smell of melons seems to have erupted!
The fragrance of melons, will make you think of spring...
Makes one happy after tasting the sweet melon paste, making it a heartful snack. Definately can be listed as a soul food.
Do not try the crab bun, unless you are really into eating taraba crabs and have spare cash to spend. Definately not your kind of bun which can be found in the streets.
Boasts the fact of a crab leg in every bun. Honest fact, the crab leg is only about 2/3 the length of the bun. Didn't like the filling with veges. Not that kind of healthy person. Mr ang pinched some my bun, commented that it is not worth it. didn't like the taste.
Okaru's Che Miu serving sweet delights~
Fruits Omelette $4! My fav!
Jasmine says: A MUST BUY! no regrets!
Together with cream (tasted like vanilla ice-cream), custard, and assorted fruits (including baby mandarin oranges), it is heaven!!!! The omelette skin isn't like those egg omelette. It is called omelette due to its image which looks like the japanese omelette rice.
The outer layer is actually pancake! like those you have tried in mcdonald's breakfast, but sweeter, softer and fluff-ier!
Lastly... butter manju from saporro's hokuyu.
You will definately see a line for this. $1.30 for 1 and $12 for 10
Standing within 5m radius from the stall, you will be caught immediately for the buttery scent!
no joke!
Boosting 3 flavours, red bean, custard and white red bean (limited).
Didn't have time to buy the limited, sold out darn fast.
Managed to try the custard and red bean instead.
This is not kueh kueh ok!
Tastes like .... some butter pancake with loads of fillings.
The outer layer is darn thin. thus you can taste the filling within a split second.
I will say try both flavours though. Both are my top choices!!!!
I have also tried (but with no pictures)
1. Cream dowa 's melon soft serve (top 3 choices)
2. Shinori's Cheese souffle
3. Ikameshi (Seasoned squid stuffed with glutinous rice)
and loads more, can;t recall.
Have fun guys, if you're going to the hokkaido fair!!!
currently; 11:46pm, going to 12am. i know i've got to sleep. I need the rest, to battle tomorrow. it's gonna be my last day working tomorrow. but it's not the reason that keeps me awake.
feeling really down. with a capital D. Everyone has their ups and downs. And mine just happened minutes ago.
It's not really a huge matter though.. just that... i didn't expect the result, and thus, didn't prepare for the otherwise. oh well, i'll just have to live with it, live with everything else.
Sorry, didn't have time update much about what's happening around me.. Thus i have decided to put all events in point forms. To aid me in future entries. Do not get shock if i've got many entries within a day! :)
Hokkaido Food Fair 2009 @ isetan I have tried most of the food there. From the Pullman's bakery curry bun to their melon soft ice-cream... Had pictures taken! Fair will end next monday (within few days time) Do pop buy alright! Strongly recommend their melon soft ice-cream @ $4.50 per cone!
last week @ M&S My last day will be on tuesday.. Cant imagine i survived 1.5 months of 6 days work! Banzai!
Sherline's 21st chalet It's tomorrow.. Dead tired... Gosh and have to rush to pasir ris from orchard and back to woodlands to work again early in the morn.. I guess i just have to work hard, clench some teeth and survive.. wish me luck for the week!

Dong Bang Shin Ki, 4th Album Mirotic, Showcase You're My Melody
눈을 감으면 들려오는 소리들 그대의 마음을 그대의 작은 생각들을
내 맘의 많은 잡음 때문에 듣지 못 했었나봐 미안해 미안해
눈물의 시간이 이젠 history 걱정하지마 Because
*You’re my melody 너를 연주할게 On & On (and on & on & on)
Because
**It’s your love your love 내게 사랑을 들려주던 (and on & on & on)
