Terrible or Fun Aunt??? TBD...
SeraKate and Silas came over and we seemed to find trouble, again! Not sure if I'm the terrible Aunt or the fun Aunt. I guess that depends on who you ask.
Silas likes the waterhose, does not like his clothes.
SeraKate likes to be funny, does not like chaos.

Chef Ella
Ella has been a lifesaver with her love of cooking. She always wants me to get the supplies so she can make dinner. Lately, we have been making an extra meal to freeze as we make one to eat. Her favorites are goulash, million dollar spaghetti, spaghetti (with sauce from scratch, including sauteed mushrooms), lasagna, and fettuccine alfredo. She also loves to bake and can "throw things in" like Mama Ruth and Grandma. Her skills in this area are impressive and the rest of the family appreciates this greatly!!Friday, August 10, 2018

Catherine's wedding + a little sightseeing of Texas
First stop, Waco. Burt drove us to the middle of nowhere to find the Branch Davidians! There are about 20 families still living there and worshiping! They have changed their name to, The Branch. It was spooky and interesting to read about them. The girls were so scared they wouldn't get out of the car. (it was pretty eerie). In our true travel style, WikoBurtia was giving tours to other tourists before we left.
Next stop, Magnolia! Chip and Joanna Gaines store and restaurant. It was fun to shop around and the girls and I put together and purchased a little flower arrangement for our living room as a keepsake.
Texas heat is not very fun in August so we didn't stay long, but still had a good time.
We had our first In-N-Out Burger experience and it was one of Ella's trip highlights. She loved the sauce :).
Next stop, San Antonio! Riverwalk and Alamo.
Riverwalk, San Antonio
We were all a little disappointed in the Riverwalk. We did enjoy seeing it and walking through it, but there were mainly just bars and souvenir shops . We decided to ask the locals where to eat instead and they pointed us in a fabulous direction!
This was a great decision!
Mi Tiarra was a genuine Texas experience, complete with a serenading mariachi band!
What??? Texas waffles? Yes, please!
Guess where we went AGAIN the next morning? WikoBurtia just didn't get enough of the tour completed the day before so back we go to the Alamo. He didn't forget... (get it??? Remember the Alamo??) Ella found a beautiful Alamo cat that was happy left alone. In typical Ella style, she HAD to hold it, even though it literally was biting her hand off.
For being so patient with WikoBurtia at the Alamo, he found us a dine-in movie theatre. It was super cool and a first for us all!
Time to scoot towards Houston for wedding festivities.
Rehearsal Dinner- at an aquarium! Seafood served in aquariums are always a little cruel to me. I felt guilty as the fish swam around and watched me eat their shrimp buddies so I tried not to make eye contact.
Look at my pretty girls though!!
Awe, 19 years later and he still kisses me in elevators. It is even better now that we have kids we can gross out. I do love that man.
WEDDING DAY!
We got dressed and met in Catherine's room for make up, hair and lunch. The girls left in a limo for pictures and we all met up at the theatre for the ceremony!
Thankfully, things are not always as they appear. This was sherbert and sprite.
