A Christmas Carol, FOA

Eva Grace, Emma and Burt were all in the Foundation of Art's production of  A Christmas Carol.  Burt played Bob Cratchet, EG was Fan (Scrooge's sister) and a Fezziwig daughter. Emma was a dancer and a Fezziwig daughter.  Although this story isn't one of my favorites many funny things came from this play.  Burt had muttonchops for a week (please, never again!).  Andrew and Sarah came and brought Ethan to watch.  He had to leave in the beginning because Marley terrified him.  Marley felt terrible because Ethan wasn't the first kid he scared during this production.  After the show he had Ethan come meet him so he could make amends.
During rehearsal breaks, Bob Cratchet visited the modern age and did some work.

I did not like the muttonchops.

The cast of Christmas Carol was asked to sing during the annual tree lighting ceremony at NEA Hospital. (EG and Burt are in there somewhere).

Whiskers Barrett, our new cat

We apparently have a new cat.  We think this guy lived across the street and his owners moved.  Somehow he found his way back to the house and was starving. We kept thinking someone would claim him but no one did. Ella felt terrible for him and started feeding him on our porch.  She would go outside and pet him every day.  A few months later he ventured inside the house.  He has felt at home every since and is definitely not skin and bones anymore.  Ella named him Whiskers. SeraKate  (2) named him Minnie Meows.  Elle (2) named him Hew Meow.  We all love him, except Cat.

ST. Jude Half Marathon

Sarah asked Emma in the spring if she would want to run the St. Jude's Half with her.  Emma committed and started training.  They did it!!  Emma was one of the youngest competitors.  What an accomplishment.  So proud of both of them.
