Carving out Memories- Halloween 2016 (M&Ms)

Pumpkin carving at our house with Andrew, Ethan, Elle, and Everett, Adam, Andrea, Sadie, SeraKate and Silas, Emma's friend, Mark, and Becca Tibbs. Uncle Burt tried to sit out and miss the festivities but that only got him baby duty.  After pumpkin carving the big kids enjoyed playing board games followed by s'mores by the firepit.  Becca, Eva Grace and Sadie decided to camp outside in the tent.  Surprisingly, they made it all night!

SeraKate did NOT like the way the insides felt.  Andrea was insistent that she touch it anyway.  haha.  She was fine after she got her "poon," to help her dig.

Emma's friend Mark joined us.  He couldn't remember ever carving a pumpkin!!!

Silas selfie and dinnertime for Everett

We had our annual Fall Festival at church.  We were M&M's.  Ella helped me make the costumes.  We could only wear these together for the festival because Emma wanted to wear them with her friends on Halloween.

We did our traditional face painting booth.  Ella Ruth and Mae remade their game they made up last year, then took over the face painting booth when Emma and Eva Grace left.  Of course, they had to paint each other's faces first.  Then the Hardin boys also volunteered.

The big kids all convinced Nanner to take them to a Haunted House tonight so they left the church and headed there.  (Nice photobomb Ella).

Loving on her used to be so much easier.  Now I have to pin her to the wall :).

Last, but not least, Halloween Night.  We went to Nanner and Poppy's as we do every year.  Emma's friends Mark and Aubrey joined her.  Becca and Graci joined EG.

Of course, we had to go see Mrs. Mitzi.  She had these awesome little light up toys for us.

Softball Season 2016

Softball season #???? Who knows how many seasons we have been at this.  This was a big year.  Genesis is ending due to the girls' entering school ball.  This chapter of our lives ending is bittersweet.  It has been an awesome ride and we have met so many fabulous families and lifelong friends.   The days of  Uncle Adam and Daddy coaching are over.  Ella's team, Atlas Heat, moved up to 10 and under.  She was little but hung in there.  She did get to play on Genesis for a few tournaments and league games.  This made her day!  She also got a homerun (in her league), more than EG can say this year :).

Coach Uncle Burt blowing bubbles with Skaters while coaching.  How could he say no?  If she wasn't playing with bubbles or chalk during the games she was in my purse eating snacks or running to the concession stand for ring pops.
Throwback to the first Genesis season to the last.  The glove is the same :).
And, here is Ella playing with Eva Grace's team.  She had just played her own ballgame and EG's team was short a player.  She had a blast.  They even let her play in a tournament with them a few weeks later. (She was 8 playing in the 12 and under league).

To end Ella's season, the league had a parent's softball tournament.  It was a blast!

This is the only picture we have of us together.

Softball OUT!  (Actually this was after a tournament both teams played in, on our way home at 1am)

Ella's team won their first tournament in 10 and under!!  They even got rings.

Our favorite tournament of the year is the Halloween Tournament. All the girls were different emojis and our pumpkin rocked, as always!
