White Christmas Musical

Words cannot express how much fun this play was for our entire family.  Eva Grace landed a lead role as Susan Waverly with her own song solo, Burt was a stagehand and in 2 singing/dancing numbers, I saw every show and the last 2 dress rehearsals, Emma and Ella wanted to go to every show.  Burt and EG got to sing the National Anthem at the last Red Wolves football game and Burt did a mall singing performance. They also had their pictures in Occasions Magazine for the show. We all met so many nice families and many new friendships were formed.  I can't say enough how much our family loves the Foundation of Arts.
Here are a ton of pictures to mark the occasion.
Showtime pictures!

 "Let yourself go. Relax"

Rehearsal of Snow.  This stressed Burt out for months!  8 part harmonies are not easy apparently.

New friends and cast mates.

Eva Grace's favorite person from the cast,  Matt.  On the last night she took my phone to take a selfie and to program his number in.  He is 26!!  That didn't happen but it wasn't for her trying, it was for him bringing me the phone with the heads up.  He was a super nice guy though and very talented.

These 2 photos were in Occasions Magazine.

Isn't this a great picture of Eva Grace?  Can't you see her?  She is wearing a white bow.

Their Supporters!

Nanner, Poppy, Boxes, Goldens, Grandma, Granddad, Adam, Andrea, Sadie, Ramseys, Becca, Reeds, Mrs. McGee, Hardins, Shipleys, McMickles, and McClellands were a few.

Her favorite teacher , Mrs. McGee, came to see her perform and asked her daily about details leading up to the play.  She brought her flowers and asked her for her autograph. At school she hung her program with autograph up on the bulletin board.  Eva Grace truly felt like a superstar.

The very talented cast.
The live orchestra (really hard to sing to) and snow falling for the finale...

Directed by the best, Kristi Pulliam.

The moms/cheerleaders.  We even dressed alike. ha.  Burt almost "good gamed" Stephanie because he thought she was me.  So glad he didn't :).

It was a little bright but this is at ballgame Burt and EG sang National Anthem at.  It isn't everyday you get on the field.

Emma's 14

Happy 14th Birthday Emma!

Where did the years go? It seems like just yesterday we were waiting to meet her. Anxious to know what she would look like. Would she have any hair? Whose eyes would she have? What would her laugh sound like? Now here we are, 14 years later. She thinks she is ready to take on the world. Our relationship is changing. No longer do I need to manage her every decision, but rather guide her as she takes more responsibility of her own life. (I'm nowhere near handing the reins over yet though!) I love the young lady she is becoming, her inner and outer beauty, her love for God, her value of relationships with family and friends, what others share with me about her when I'm not around. I know God has big plans for this one! Happy Birthday Em.

Her birthday fell on Thanksgiving this year so we didn't celebrate til the weekend.  She wanted to go to Escape the Room in Memphis with the family.  It was a blast.  We split up into Browns and Barretts.  Both escaped their rooms (barely).  Then she wanted to go to Hueys to eat and back to Jonesboro to play lazer tag.

We were excited John, Susan and the kids were in!!  EG tried to show John how to do a chin pop selfie.
