Jackson's 4th Birthday - Transformers!

Jackson's birthday was a great success! Thanks to all who were able to come and show your love and support to him! He loves all his family and friends so much! We appreciate all you do for him and our family. It was a very long day. He had his last soccer game that morning as well. Needless to say, he wasn't in the mood for playing soccer, when he knew he had his party to go to. But he still did good, and we went home and set up for the party. It was fun to just have the kids play outside, jump on the trampoline, play soccer and play with the giant basketball hoops that he got for his birthday. Then we ate and then did the pinata. No one was harmed while doing the pinata so that was good. And the cake was yummy like always. All in all a very good birthday. Again, thanks to all! We love you guys!

Best Laid Plans . . . Jerry's Birthday

Jerry's Birthday was this week and because we just went to Disneyland, we decided to not spend a lot on birthdays. But, I still wanted to do something special for him. I decided I would try to plan a little surprise party for him. So I had requested the day off from work, and I thought we should go to a session at the temple and then go eat at Matta's. And I would have everyone meet us at Matta's to surprise him. All Jerry knew was that we were going to have a "temple date" and then go eat at Matta's because he loves that place. (what is funny is that Jerry asked me if I was just tricking him and really setting up a surprise party, so I had to lie and said that I wasn't) I contacted all our family and a couple of friends (who couldn't make it) and I told everyone to be at Matta's by 6 p.m. We were going to the 4 o'clock session so I figured we'd be done around then. Well, whenever you plan a surprise, it rarely goes how you plan it in your head. Our session was so small only about 20 people there, so it went a lot faster than expected. I tried to take as long as I could getting out. I told Jerry's sister I would text her when we were leaving so that everyone would know when we would be getting to Matta's, so I did that. Then we saw the Temple lights were already on, and Jerry tried to make me go see them. But I knew that people were waiting for us, so I had to tell him that I was starving, so that we would go. When we pulled into Matta's, his mom, stepdad and sister just happened to be walking up, so that kind of gave it away. So Jerry went around the parking lot seeing who else was there and saw my parents car too. So the cat was out of the bag there. Anyways, we get inside and they hadn't even sat us yet. And I find out that half of the people weren't even there yet. Especially his sister who I had texted, she thought they were supposed to be there at 7 p.m. instead of 6. Anyways, even though it didn't go as I had originally planned, he was still surprised and that's all that matters. We had a nice time with all our family. Food was okay, company was great! He said it was a great birthday, so I did my job! I just want to say that Jerry is an amazing husband and father and I am so glad that I married him. I love him so much and look forward to spending the rest of our lives together and throughout eternity! I love you, babe!

More Halloween

Just a continuation of the rest of our Halloween. We carved pumpkins a day or two before Halloween. Jerry and Jax did the skeleton and Briana and I did the bat. Jerry was so nervous to leave the pumpkins outside because he was paranoid that people might steal them or smash them! But nevertheless, they made it through Halloween! I tried to make pumpkin seeds, but the seeds were bad and so they didn't turn out so well. But at least I tried!
On Halloween, we headed to my parents house and my mom and I took the kids to a couple of houses on their street. Jerry and my dad stayed and passed out candy. Jackson loved seeing all the kids in different costumes. If he liked their costume, he would tell me, "I want to go say Hi to that kid!" Briana would get so excited every time she saw a Princess! We then went to see Jerry's mom and her family. The kids helped pass out candy. Jackson got excited everytime he saw someone walking up.

Our final stop was Grandma and Grandpa Schupple (Jerry's grandparents). They wanted to see the kids in their costumes. We stayed and visited with them for a while. And Grandma let them play with a little fountain that she had. All in all it was a really good Halloween. Exhausting, too much candy, but still fun.(Jackson and Briana knocking on Grandma and Grandpa's door)

By the way, I had to take a picture of this amazingly decorated house in our neighborhood. Yes, they made a pirate ship in their front yard! Of course, my kids wanted to drive by it all the time! Seriously, where do people come up with these things! But I love them for it! It's great entertainment! So Thank You, Pirate Ship House! : )
