New New Years Tradition

We started a New Years tradition to blow up the gingerbread house we made that Christmas. Hopefully the video works!

Bardin Christmas 2009

Sorry about the poor quality photos. That's all we have. Christmas was wonderful this year! We enjoyed spending time with family and friends and enjoyed equally when it was all over. There was a LOT going on. So here they are in no particular order...

This was Christmas morning. Santa found some plasma cars at a swap meet!

The kids got new jammies from Aunt Sherri. Thanks so much Sherri for the jammies!!! We love them!

This was Christmas Eve at my mom's before we went walking the neighborhood to see the luminaries that get put out down all the sidewalks every year. I wish I got a picture of that. It's awesome! Ella was just too tired from playing with her cousin Cheyanne all day!

Another pair of jammies

Ella put up the last cottonball (Christmas Eve) to finish Santa's beard

We made a gingerbread house (which we later destroyed, post about that to come)

The girls decorated the little tree

Brody - 5 months

Wow, how time is flying!
Brody is 5 months today. It seems like it has been a blur to me! He's not a little baby anymore, you know, the kind that can just lie there and be content. No, he has to be playing with something, always, and is constantly scooting or moving in some way.
He is learning some cool new sounds and is learning to sit up. He can sit for about 15-20 seconds (sometimes) before he topples over. He still has "2 1/2" teeth and should be cutting some more pretty soon. At least he acts like it.
His legs are getting pretty fat, but not as fat as I would like them to be.
He is definitely a momma's boy! I love it!!

Brody - 4 months

Ok he is really 4 1/2 months. I am lacking in the blogging department currently. I'll post about Christmas probably sometime this year, we'll see!

Brody turned 4 months the day after Christmas. He has 3 teeth, sort of (I'll go into detail in a minute), he rolls over, (mostly in the middle of the night so we have to get up and turn him back over) and he is playing so well with his toys. He's growing so fast, I've had to get out the 6-9 month clothes.

Here are his 4 month stats (for my records)
Head - I don't remember the measurements but it was 40th percentile
Height - 26 inches, 80th percentile
Weight - 14 lbs 11 oz, 50th percentile

So about his teeth... A couple weeks ago I noticed one of his teeth was huge (really wide) and there was a little notch in the middle of it. I thought maybe it could be 2 teeth that had grown in together. And that is what the Dr. said she thinks is what happened. Her son has the same thing happening. So anyway, Brody kind of has just two teeth because that is how they came in, but it is actually 3. Matt says he is a mutant, but I think he is still perfect!

His 8 yr old cousins Bridgit and Brooklin love to carry him around wherever they go when we have family things going on. He loves them and REALLY loves to be held. I wish I had them at my house all the time to be Brody's nannys!

Macy and Ella think they can be like their cousins and want to hold him all the time. They are good about asking me first so I don't worry too much except for the couple times when I caught Macy dragging him across the room and then dropping him when she realized that I saw her. Naughty!
He loves to take naps with Poppa Steve

...till next time!
