Baolai Back from Bangkok le..

it was of a pretty serene and soothing feeling even though we were in a foreign land.. company matters..

it was relaxing to hv massages twice the length of time at half the price.. price matters..

it was scary to come back with 7 t-shirts n 2 shirts when my mum's parting sentence was "dun buy so many cloths hor, go there play can liao"..

it juz makes me feel like continue holiday-ing and not come back to work on my FYP.. sianz.. .. ..

how fast time fly..

its been a yr since those happy times spent in japan with the floorball team..

its been 6months since those SEP days with no worries and nothing to fret over..

its been 1month after the exams last semester..

its been quite a while since i did some catching up with frens..

but i will be flying off soon to bangkok.. haha..

i am beginning to tink of owning a dSLR all over again.. hmm..

opps, completed my last paper (not much comment, it was a chem eng module, so no thanks to all the muggers out there, my grades will DEFINITELY NOT be impressive de lah.. haha..), and the first and oni thing on my mind was to head home!! haha..

yeshh, home-sweet-home.. homecooked dinner.. routine long run ard my estate..

the all-too-familiar buildings.. that nostalgic smell of the wind.. the refreshing steps took along the road.. and not forgetting the irritating perspiration dripping down my face as i ran.. hurhur..

nope, gave wed mambo a miss.. haha.. needed a good nite sleep on my beloved bed which i kinda forsaken for some time.. haha.. in fact, i would love to hav many more sleeps at home.. haha..

weekend was at jimmy's bdae party.. wicked dose of boozes lah.. haha.. potent until machiam alcohol came free lah.. omg.. i am so glad i was one of the first few to be KO-ed.. cos i got sober juz in time to take care of others.. haha..

cleared the mess at the hotel (swiss-otel), facilitated someone who was trying to puke thruout the nite, and clean up thereafter, tried all sorts of way to create a good sleeping posture.. i felt so fatherly for once!! haha..

den it was already 4+ o.O.. showered and when out to the balcony, and the view from the 40th floor, overlooking bugis-suntec-marina square-flyer-esplanade was breathe-taking.. especially during dawn when the day was breaking.. the orange hue of the sky, the crisp warm air..

followed by gossipping with some of them of the nite's happenings.. and juz like tat, i was kept awake the whole of sat.. sun was ktv @ Dynasty and boy, the 5buckaroos per hour room charge and standard drinks at 5buckaroos nett are SO SO cheap tat, i tink anytime is a KTV time.. hahahaahah..

great dinner at dian-xiao-er (esp the herbal roast duck) followed by dessert @ Bakerzin.. i LOVE tasting good food with pple who appreciates good food as well..

finally back in hall concussed.. woke up for some heros season III n hall supper, together with a huge clean-up of my room.. yay.. haha..

tats one lovely weekend spent..

i would love every weekend to be as such lah.. spending time with joe n gang can get pretty wicked..

oh no, i ending with 12 paragraphs oni, cannot hav 2 sets of rainbow in dis post.. i missed catching rainbows.. ESP if u catch them on planes, travelling like nobody's business.. awww.. those beautiful moments of exchange are flashing back every now n den.. miss those days actually..

2nd paper started at 1pm in KR lah.. shiok.. 10mins b4 the paper den juz walk down with pencil case n matric card enough liao.. dun need to pack anything else with me.. oh la laa..

den after 45mins, done with paper, walked out of exam hall with kelvin at 1.45pm!! oh la laa..

i tikam-ed 9 out of 60 questions.. some got correct, some wrong.. oh wellz.. i tink i did well enough.. hurhur.. oh la laa..

plus an A- for the midterm essay (with really great help of yx n char).. oh la laa..

i tink i shd do pretty fine for dis module.. oh la laa..

with my not-so-high-CAP, not so much pressure.. B+ can no need to SU liao.. not like kel, need A- den can dun SU.. hurhur.. oh la laa..

last minute decided to be kiasu (trying to be a typical sporean here for once) and decided to write my helpsheet at 8pm at nite on the eve of paper..

finished at it 2am with hand aching like crazy and eyes going dizzy with fonts oni fit for an ant.. heng i got some colours here and here, with passable handwritting..

so impressed with myself.. hurhur.. went to bed at 3am, and FORTUNATELY i woke up in time for the 9am paper on sunny (finally) saturday.. and found neighbour who suffered insomnia lah.. haha.. albert's bio-clock CHUI liao..

left hall early to avoid crowd to get to exam hall, BUT guess everyone tot the same, and the bus was already SUPER SUPER CROWDED..

Fireworks are nice..

bcos they glitter against the cold dark nite-sky..

FYP

ok, probably the few times i mention my fyp here..

supposedly started in july.. den procrastination + clueless of how to start, i waited for abt 1 month to meet my profs and discuss the direction for my fyp.. by end july den i completed the lab trainings and stuff..

den holiday mood, thinking i power liao, juz waiting to start my experiment.. den shift back into hall, re-adjust lifestyle.. end of august.. haha..

when i was abt to start really DOING my experiment..

1st time, partially-dried strawberries all grew mould.. chui.. wasted 1week..

2nd time, the drying lab not available.. another week wasted..

3rd time, dry liao, everything swee swee, strawberries quite well perserved.. BUT the GC machine (to detect the flavours in my fruit) spoil.. n 2weeks in a roll spoil liao.. 2 weeks wasted.. every thurs n fri i wake up early go lab juz to be disappointed lah.. whole of sept lidat liao.. sian..

everytime i schedule the lab is 1 week interval, as every fri is fyp day.. in sept, i catered both thurs n fri lor.. but still, with the machine down, I REALLY CAN'T DO ANYTHING.. so now start of oct liao, i still got ZERO results.. chui chui chui..

if fyp is graded based on the period of time put in, den i have already wasted 3 out of the 6 months tat i hav.. tats 50% gone, and i am LOOKING AT FAILING IT!! omg..

u might be tinking wat has chemical engineering got to do with drying of strawberries, beats me too! haha.. but i am really enjoying dis fyp, though i got no results and panick button is abt to be pressed..

Bali

to be a millionaire overnite, DO NOT play with stocks n shares, juz go chinatown any money changer and change 150sing dollars into indonesian ruppiah! =)

its 1.15 million here.. whaha..

after reaching bali, we hired AMAN, a indon-chinese tourguide to bring us ard bali.. 100USD and tat takes care of all transportation and to all tat we wanted to see and play in bali..

when being transported, we felt really bored.. bali is quite big by OUR standard.. haha..


along the way one day, dis is wat we saw.. we vouch to go see the rice paddy field the next day..

along with the tour package was white water rafting!! shiokz!! a pity i found the ride abit slow.. haha.. in need of something more exciting!! haha..

while we tasting authentic indonesian crusine (which is really nice in my opinion), peter obviously dun seem to take interested in the food.. the tatoo on his forearm seem to hav taken limelight.. haha.. MAYB its cos he ordered a chicken dish, but some beef was added den he sian diao.. haha..

When in Bali, u CANNOT DUN GO FOR SPA!! haha.. its a sin i tell u.. first its cheap (relatively).. secondly, ITS SHIOK-NESS to the maximum spider!! haha..

2nd day we had HOT STONE MASSAGE and tat nite, we slept like logs and needed morning call to wake us up.. last day, we went for RED WINE MASSAGE n SPA treatment.. it included a maasage with red wine, followed by green tea essence body scrub, followed by a short red wine bath lah.. i am drunk in spa already..

SPA TIME!! juz to note, the body scrub was really effective and i whiten at least 2 tones after the treatment!! haha.. damnz.. all the suntanning on the beach wasted.. haha..

next time i go bali, i wanna stay in Hard Rock Cafe lah.. its damn cool with its own internal beach n pool lah.. and its really bustling with activities.. =)
