Hello my dearest bandmates! the band blog shall not dieeee! okayokay! the year is coming to an end..... i know its your band stand down period, so let's enjoy the break and recharge yourself to get pumped up for the upcoming practices! Also, your band concert is just next month! Work hard kay! treat it as your last performance this year , for yourself and for others! :D The seniors are leaving! You guys must take care and listen to your teachers, conductors, tutors, majors, section leaders and your committee okay. [ i feel so naggy but hey! its for the best of yourself! ] :D try to be united as a band! conflicts shall stand aside during band and no personal conflict shall tear your bonds! there's also a bandcamp! must create new bonds too kay. :D okay! thats for all now. i know nobody will be reading this cause the blog has been dead for a long time! With loads of love, irina. Wednesday, April 27, 2011
Midyear's coming! Goodluck everyone! :D Will definitely miss band! Love, irina. Tuesday, March 29, 2011
6 more practices to SYF'11 . 1st day, first session, first band, let's take the first GOLD (or even more) ! I know that many of you have been cut off to a certain extend, but I really hope treat it as a source of motivation for the upcoming competition. Don't think that you've pulled down the band. In many ways you're still helping. Likewise, juniors, try learn as much as you can from the seniors when they are still around . Treat every critism as a constructive comment that should be taken and try to improve oneself. Don't take it for granted that you will be better than everyone else ad without you, the rest will not make it, thoughts like those only make people dislike you and not communicate with you. Please try give and take, things would be better , yes? Furthermore, I have noticed manymany seniors complaining of juniors not treating all practises seriously, and even able to give black faces / showing attitude. Let me just ask you, if your junior in the future disrespect you, they are learning from you. Don't correct others when you're in the wrong. I just hope that now is coming to SYF, please, please take it seriously. Mrchiang and mrwong can sacrifice so much, yet some of you don't appreciate. Please try to put yourself in their shoes. Last but not least, persevere and keep trying! Don't give up!! All the best :D love, irina. Monday, March 07, 2011
SYF GOAL : LEAST A GOLD. Work hard now and play hard later, okay? teachers, conductors, seniors are supporting us, don't let them down! All the best for the next 1month!! :D withlove, Irina :] [please stop quoting that the seniors gave up, we did not so don't assume. If you give up, you're only giving up on yourself when you're capable of achieving better.] Saturday, January 01, 2011

2009 concert SYF Last year's 2009 SYF at Singapore Conference hall. Starting. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ending. There's 55 pictures of all of these repeated actions. Indeed memories. Current mainband; I know you're tired of having band , during holidays moreover. That was how i felt in Sec1. Whenever my seniors reprimand me for mistakes, it wasn't just some ; ' oh you played wrong, let's try again.' That was never in our dictionary in the past , only punishment . Some of us think our alumni are harsh, but hey, afterall they're hoping for the best. Just like everyone else. The current sec3&4 batch felt that it's the past. Let's move on. So we've decided to treat our new juniors the best we can give. Hoping it's a memorable experience in band for all of us and in return you all as our juniors can help ChongBoonSymphonic Band succeed. Making music together and bringing everyone closer. But it isn't the case. I dont want to comment so much. All of us know there's so much unsastifaction in the band. But i only want to say, give in all you can now. You won't regret in the future. You'll only look back in time when you're sec3, and know why seniors are doing so. So let's try our very best in next year SYF alrights? Let's strive towards Gold wth honor and make the school proud, so when we tell other band we're from chongboon, we can be recongised for our achievements and not negative relations. All the best. Band investiture will be held on 21st december. will inform if any changes. Loves, Irina. |
