25 on the 25th

My exciting birthday celebration started with some tacos... man they were delicious. Then the excitement moved on to opening presents (with the help of C of course!). I was excited about the hand mixer from my mom and a rice bag from my sister :)

Then onto the cake... now this is an infamous cake for anyone who knows me and it has taken me 7 years to convince my sister to make the cake EXACTLY how I like it... vanilla cake with a layer of vanilla ice cream and a layer of orange sherbert then another layer of vanilla cake. Life just doesn't get any more exciting than that does it???

Finally, the culmination of the evening was blowing out the candles with my nephew, eating the cake and watching The Amazing Race. Aren't birthday's grand!?!?!

The Praxis

At the beginning of January I had to take a national Praxis exam for Speech-Language Pathology which is necessary to pass in order to graduate and be certified. It has been a long agonizing month waiting for my scores (I even paid $25 to learn my scores at the soonest moment possible). Many a sleepless nights have now been put to rest... I PASSED! The score doesn't matter, I just had to get higher than 600 and I got a 720. When I graduate in May I must say that I will not miss the stress that comes with taking tests... Especially tests that have such high stakes attached to them!
