Lights Please!

So we made the yearly trip up to Temple Square in Salt Lake City. This is me and a couple of my nephews. If it looks like my nephew C (on the left) is falling out of my arms - he is!! I better start working out my right arm a little more...
The whole gang - my mom decided it would be fun to try and use the timer on her camera. On the second try the camera actually stayed on. Of course at this point we were blocking people from passing us. Ah, the joys of family bonding!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year...

We captured a short bonding moment between siblings... Do we look like we are related?

Christmas morning - and no my hair doesn't look like that when I wake up! We were waiting to open presents when my sister was coming over at 8:30... when I woke up at 6:30 to my nephew crying, I thought I might as well get my shower for the day out of the way. It was worth the wait to get this digital camera!

A miracle occurred - this was our second sibling bonding moment caught on film! T is laughing because she is losing and J is perplexed because everyone is trying to make it so he can't win the game... N is busy trying to make sure that I don't win and I'm just trying to survive with all of these people attacking me! Blokus - you should check it out!

Me and My Boys

Me and A had to take little rests at the bottom of the hill when sledding... I was too tired to climb back up and A couldn't walk with all of his snow clothes on!
C and I decided it would be fun to roll down the hill... We only did it for about 2 minutes but I was dizzy for about 20 minutes!

Me and my boys... aren't they so cute!

Sledding Race

My brother J and I decided we should race and see who could get down the hill the fastest...
J's getting a little air in the beginning, but we'll see who wins...

I am sneaking ahead and J is getting a little snow shower!
And I glide in for the win!

Party Time

This is me in the process of waking up C just in time for his big Birthday party! Needless to say, he was pretty un-excited about being woken up, but he woke up fast when his little cousins started to arrive!

C and his cousin J opening the gift that I gave him - none other than the classic childhood game "Hungry, Hungry Hippos!"

However, when purchasing the game, I didn't realize that nowadays it came in a lot of pieces that required assembly. About 20 minutes later and 1,000 "are you done yets?" C had a new game that made a lot more noise than I remembered. Oh well... I don't have to live with it!

Brad Paisley Mania

So this was the t-shirt I bought before the concert... and it was quite the ordeal to buy it! There were huge lines and I let Tracy convince me to get a large. So I brought the large back, decided it was too big and then went back to exchange it for a medium. Little did I know that the medium did not have "Salt Lake City" listed on the back as one of the stops for his tour. Oh well... what more could I ask for than Brad plastered across my chest! (FYI - Jake Owen was one of the intro singers)

This is Brad signing. If only I could have been one of those girls with my hands reaching towards him (this is optical and digital zoom to the max) and catching his picks that he was throwing into the crowd. Next time...

Well, this is what the stage looked like without any digital zoom. Plus it didn't help that the huge speakers were blocking any view of the large screen behind Brad. Nevertheless I had a GREAT time singing along with all of his songs and tapping my feet to the beat. The evening was a success - earplugs and all!

Thanksgiving

This is me, my cousin's wife L and their little boy T. Isn't he cute? Well, Thanksgiving was fun, but it already seems that it occurred ages ago. I flew to San Diego, drove my grandparents up to LA to spend Thanksgiving with my aunt M's family and other extended family. Finally after an enjoyable weekend, I drove my grandparents back down to San Diego on Saturday and flew back home that night. Needless to say I did no homework while I was there so this week has been a little hectic... but only a week and a half more until I'm done with this semester!

You're the Winner!

This is a picture of the one and only Brad Paisley whom I just happen to think is the best country singer! Today was a momentous day for me. Today was the first day in my 24 years of life where I have ever WON anything. I won two tickets to the upcoming Brad Paisley concert on December 1st! I couldn't believe it! I have been trying to call the radio station for about 2 weeks now, using 2 phones and dialing 3 numbers... and I actually got through today! My friend called me right as I was winning on the radio. Unfortunately they told me to turn off my radio so I couldn't experience my reaction second hand, although I'm sure it was amusing. PLUS, if they call my name on November 30th I will have 9 minutes to call them back to get a limo ride, back stage passes AND a helicopter ride to the show! Ah, the joys of winning!

Trick or Treat!

I went trick-or-treating with two of my nephews. C liked to go around saying "roar" whenever you asked him a question. However, the night ended early when C insisted on being carried from house to house!

My little "monkey" nephew A on the other hand was having a good time, however he didn't quite grasp the whole trick-or-treating concept. He sure was cute though!

New Haircut!

Yesterday I got my first real haircut at a place called Lunatic Fringe. It was quite the experience! You go in and they ask you what you want to drink: water, sparkling water or soda. Then they take you back to the shampoo room where they turn off the lights, turn on some music and proceed to wash your hair and massage your head. The haircut took an hour because the girl was very meticulous and cut all of my hair first with a razor and then she went back with some scissors for some layers and bangs. Needless to say I was impressed. Of course all this customer service showed through the price I paid! I am having ponytail depression today though since I can no longer put my hair in a ponytail...

Summer Fun

I spent Labor Day with my sister's family. We rode Trax downtown and then walked around temple square. Then we went to the Lion House Bakery for lunch where I had a delicious roll. An enjoyable day was had by all (especially since I did NO homework that day)!

The Potter family came up the last week of August so they could drop their son off at BYU, so we took advantage of a little "down time."

My nephew C and I like to do fun things... We're at the water park by his house cooling off on a hot August day.

We had a little mini-family vacation at a water park for a day. At the very last minute I finally convinced my mom to go on this ride with me that does a couple of "quick drops." She loved it!

I took out my endowments on Thursday August 17th. It was a very good day!

I went with some friends to my first ever concert at the State Fair. Phil Vassar, a country music singer that plays the piano was the lucky winner for my first experience!

After I finished up my summer semester at school, I drove with my mom down to California to help my grandma get her house ready for some friends to come over for a quilting group. For a little enjoyment that week, I went to the Wild Animal Park with some of my cousins.

Over 4th of July weekend I drove with my mom to Portland to see my brother and my nephew. We took my nephew J to the Zoo because that is one of his favorite places to go! Then we drove up to see my other brother and his family. Aren't my nephews so cute?!?!

At the beginning of the summer, my friend Heather and I went out to Washington D.C. to see my mom and dad. It was a fun week of walking, walking and a little more walking, with a little sightseeing thrown in.
