Fabulous Day Before Halloween!
Happy Halloween! Tuesday was a super busy and fun day! Bryson had a preschool party in the morning at Holly's house. Aimee and I got to come and enjoy it too! It was super cute and fun! Bryson and Aimee loved it! After noon we headed into town and met Brenton at work. We went to lunch at Jimmy John's, then got the kids changed into their costumes for trick or treating at Daddy's work. We had a blast!! The kids got TONS of candy and became pros at saying "trick or treat". After that, we headed over to Jer and Lisa's house to wait for their Trunk or Treat to start. Grandma came over and brought them cars to play with. Thanks, Grandma!!! We went to their church and had chili and hot dogs, then a carnival, and trunk or treat. We had a good time, but I admit, I was Halloween-ed out. Today we're just taking a break and fixing a yummy stew in a pumpkin, then passing out candy.

Halloween
Wow! This picture did not turn out. Oh well! The first of our halloween parties was last night. It was a ward party at the church. We had a Carnival. So much fun! The kids had a blast and didn't want to leave. Aimee is Tinkerbell and Bryson is Captain America! Holidays are so much more fun with kids!
Capes
This was my first sewing project. Capes! While Breanne was in town, she taught me how to sew, and this was the first project we did. Bryson's has Spiderman on one side and the Superman logo on the other. Aimee's has Supergirl logo on that side and Tinkerbell on the other. They are really loving them! Yesterday, we asked them to clean the family room and Bryson and Aimee had to put on their capes to do it! I LOVE IT!

Father and Son
This past weekend we had a blast! We went up to Payson on Friday night for a little family vacation. We went yard saling, to the park, and just hung out. Love getting away with my family!

Something New
I made this!!!!
Can you tell how excited I am? My sister in law (Breanne) and her family came down to visit us a couple weeks ago. One of the things we did was sew. I have never sewed before. Correction: I tried to sew once and failed miserably. So, she taught me. We sewed capes for the kids (Pictures to come soon). My mom has a sewing machine she hasn't used in years, and she let me borrow it. I caught the bug and decided to make a rag quilt. Super easy, and doesn't have to be perfect. You can't see the many imperfections in there, but that's ok. I'm ok with it. For my 2nd project and 1st quilt, I am quite satisfied. You see, I've always told myself I'm NOT a crafty person and I can't sew. Well, take that, self. I did it!

Funny Face/Zoo
These two are so silly. We went to the Reid Park Zoo (in Tucson) on Friday. We went with my mom and Judd and his friend, and Christy and her kids. We had a good time. I really liked the zoo. It wasn't huge, but it had lots of cool animals. All the animals were close by so you could see them all. We had a great time. The only negative was I got stung by a bee- oh well, better me than one of the kiddos. So glad we got to go! And on the way home, we of course stopped for Eegee's! YUM!
Fixing Breakfast Casserole
One of the traditions my husband brought to our marriage and family is fixing breakfast casserole the morning of conference. Here the kids are joining in on the fun! Love it!
Conference Weekend
I love conference weekend! I am thankful for family time, traditions, and the beautiful messages from prophets and apostles of God.
I'm grateful for the time to reflect on the messages. I feel renewed and uplifted and able to go on for the next few months.
It was a great weekend!
