Christmas Eve day

The guys went hiking at usery park, and Lisa invited us over to decorate cookies and ice cream cones. We all had a blast. Grandma even came to join in on the fun! Afterwards, we went to the dollar store and the kids picked out presents for grandpa and grandma Foy. We then delivered them and spent a few minutes there! It was a good morning.

Fire

The Saturday before Christmas we had Jeremy, Lisa, Zane, and Alia over for a campfire in our new fire pit! We roasted hot dogs and had s'mores. We had so much fun!!!

Temple

Last night we took the kids to the temple to see the lights. They loved it! I love the stages they are at and how their eyes fill with wonder. The world, to them, is full of magic.

Afterwards, we went to Dairy Queen for a treat. As we were sitting and enjoying our blizzards, I noticed an elderly gentleman sitting by himself eating. I felt sad for him, but didn't do anything but smile at him as he got up to leave. A couple of minutes later he came to our table, dropped a gift card, and said, "Merry Christmas!" It made our day! He had bought us a fifteen dollar gift card to dq. A million thanks to this kind man, I hope he is blessed a million times for showing us this kindness. It was a wonderful experience. Life is grand.

Tis the Season

On Black Friday we hit some stores. Brave or dumb, I'm not sure! We had a good time shopping and spending the little money we had. Haha. Then, we went to lunch at Red Robin. Yum!! I love this time of year!!!

Perfect Moments

My two sweet children. Oh how they love each other.  Aimee has been laying on the couch all morning now feeling well.  Leave it to her big brother to make her feel better. Well, that and Eegee's.  I'm so thankful for these two.   Our days aren't perfect, but we have perfect moments every now and then.  This was definitely one of them.

Fabulous Day Before Halloween!

Happy Halloween! Tuesday was a super busy and fun day! Bryson had a preschool party in the morning at Holly's house.  Aimee and I got to come and enjoy it too! It was super cute and fun! Bryson and Aimee loved it! After noon we headed into town and met Brenton at work. We went to lunch at Jimmy John's, then got the kids changed into their costumes for trick or treating at Daddy's work.  We had a blast!! The kids got TONS of candy and became pros at saying "trick or treat".  After that, we headed over to Jer and Lisa's house to wait for their  Trunk or Treat to start.  Grandma came over and brought them cars to play with.  Thanks, Grandma!!! We went to their church and had chili and hot dogs, then a carnival, and trunk or treat. We had a good time, but I admit, I was Halloween-ed out.  Today we're just taking a break and fixing a yummy stew in a pumpkin, then passing out candy.

Halloween

Wow! This picture did not turn out. Oh well!  The first of our halloween parties was last night. It was a ward party at the church. We had a Carnival.  So much fun! The kids had a blast and didn't want to leave. Aimee is Tinkerbell and Bryson is Captain America! Holidays are so much more fun with kids!

Capes

This was my first sewing project.  Capes! While Breanne was in town, she taught me how to sew, and this was the first project we did.  Bryson's has Spiderman on one side and the Superman logo on the other. Aimee's has Supergirl logo on that side and Tinkerbell on the other.  They are really loving them! Yesterday, we asked them to clean the family room and Bryson and Aimee had to put on their capes to do it! I LOVE IT!

Something New

I made this!!!!

Can you tell how excited I am? My sister in law (Breanne) and her family came down to visit us a couple weeks ago. One of the things we did was sew. I have never sewed before. Correction: I tried to sew once and failed miserably.  So,  she taught me.  We sewed capes for the kids (Pictures to come soon).  My mom has a sewing machine she hasn't used in years, and she let me borrow it.   I caught the bug and decided to make a rag quilt. Super easy, and doesn't have to be perfect.  You can't see the many imperfections in there, but that's ok.  I'm ok with it.  For my 2nd project and 1st quilt, I am quite satisfied. You see, I've always told myself I'm NOT a crafty person and I can't sew.  Well, take that, self. I did it!

Funny Face/Zoo

These two are so silly.  We went to the Reid Park Zoo (in Tucson) on Friday.  We went with my mom and Judd and his friend, and Christy and her kids. We had a good time.  I really liked the zoo. It wasn't huge, but it had lots of cool animals. All the animals were close by so you could see them all.  We had a great time. The only negative was I got stung by a bee- oh well, better me than one of the kiddos.  So glad we got to go! And on the way home, we of course stopped for Eegee's! YUM!

Fixing Breakfast Casserole

One of the traditions my husband brought to our marriage and family is fixing breakfast casserole the morning of conference. Here the kids are joining in on the fun! Love it!

Conference Weekend

I love conference weekend! I am thankful for family time, traditions, and the beautiful messages from prophets and apostles of God.

I'm grateful for the time to reflect on the messages. I feel renewed and uplifted and able to go on for the next few months.

It was a great weekend!

Firsts

Bryson started preschool last Tuesday. We are doing a joy school thing where we have 6 kids and we rotate between the 6 moms.  We each do it for 2 weeks at a time- Tuesday and Thursday.  Bryson is loving it! Aimee misses him while he's gone, but she'll get used to it. She is also taking dance lessons every Monday.  I can't believe how big my kids are getting!!! Here are a few pictures:

Bryson's Birthday

My little man turned 4 on July 15th! On Saturday, the 14th, we had a Pirate birthday party with family and friends! We had Grandma and Grandpa Cluff, Judd,Jeremy and Lisa and kids, Jordan and family, Pam and kids, Grandma and Grandpa Great, Nevan, Aunt Cheryl, Aunt Kim, Cambree and Nathan, and Michelle and kids. We had a blast! WE painted moustaches on the kids, had pirate themed music, and played games. We had a water slide (Walk the plank), boat races, and bubbles. It was fabulous! We had hotdogs and chips, potato salad, watermelon, and cake. Thanks to everyone for helping! It was soooo much fun and we are grateful to have wonderful family and friends! Again, I was too busy to take lots of pictures. Hopefully I can get some from family soon!!

Bryson is such a joy in our family! We love him so much! He loves cars, trucks, planes, and trains! He loves to play in the dirt! He loves to play with Aimee. We are so happy he is a part of our family!

24th of July

For the 24th of July, we went to Utah. We spent over a week there. On our way up, we got hit by a deer. It was crazy. Luckily, no one got hurt and the van is fine.
We spent time with Aunt Leslie and her family. We love being with them! We didn't get to spend a lot of time with them, but were able to hike up Payson canyon to see some falls and Aunt Les watched all the kids while we went out to eat with Jason and Kami. It was great!
Then, we spent time with Brenton's family. We stayed at Breanne's house. We had a blast! We spent a day at the lake, watched fireworks, Brenton ran a 5K with Breanne and we went to Draper Days Parade, we saw the MOTAB Pioneer Day Concert, celebrated Bryson's birthday etc. Grandma and Grandpa great were there too! We got in tons of family time. We were super busy, but had TONS of fun. So much fun, that I hardly took any pics. Hopefully I can get some from the family!!!

Look-A-Like

My little Aimee is so cute. I love her. I have always thought she looked like me, until now. A cousin on my MIL posted a picture on facebook. Now, I know that Aimee is my MIL's mini-me. So cute! This changes things. Now Brenton can not complain that our children do not look like him or his side of the family! Hehe... What do you think?

Weekend

We had a great weekend in the mtns. Saturday we drove up to Payson and then Heber to see the fireworks. It was fun to see family up there. LOVE HEBER FIREWORKS! We stayed the night in Payson at the cabins. Scott and Pam and family came up too. So we were able to go to church with them on Sunday, and eat a yummy meal. A good time was had by all. I have to admit though, I've been gone so much this summer, it was nice to come home.

Just Keep Swimming!!!

I'm so glad the kids are able to take swim lessons. They are meeting with a girl out here at her home, and they get 30 minutes together. They have gone 4 days this week, and go 4 days next week. They are learning to blow bubbles, kick, circle arms, hold on to the side, get out, etc. They are doing way better than I expected! They always surprise me. You see, the kiddos aren't exactly up for trying new things most of the time. But they have done fabulously. I couldn't be more proud!
I'm feeling so blessed that we can go so close and it be private, instead of a class with 10 kids, though I'd do that if I didn't have this option.
