Californ-I-A!

Bryson, Aimee, and I had the chance to go with my parents and brother to California for a couple days, right after our Utah trip. I felt a little crazy doing it, but we went. Brenton had to work but was kind enough to let us go! We left Thursday July 14th at 7 AM and drove straight to Knott's Berry Farm. Grandma and Grandpa took the kids on kiddie rides and Judd and I went on a few crazy coasters. We didn't get to do everything we wanted to with the long lines, but we had a good time. Bryson loved the little kid rides. Aimee was hesitant, but didn't cry. We also saw "Happiness is Snoopy" on Ice and went on the log ride all together. We left late and went and stayed the night at my Aunt Terri's house. The next morning, my cousin Chelsey went with us to Sea World for the day. We had so much fun seeing all the shows. The kids really liked all the animals. It was neat to see how much more aware Aimee was of everything. She loved the Shamu show and spent the time dancing to the music. Bryson kept asking all day when we were going to see Shamu- that's what he was looking forward to most! It was also Bryson's 3rd birthday so for dinner we bought him a piece of choco cake and sang Happy Birthday! We stayed until late and the kids ended up falling asleep in their stroller since they hadn't napped that day. At the end of the day Dad, Judd, Chelsey, and I rode the "Journey to Atlantis" Coaster and got soaked! So, we went again. Judd and Chelsey were crazy and went 2 more times. We headed back up to Aunt Terri's house to spend the night and then drove home on Saturday. It was a quick, but fun trip!

(This pic deserved it's own caption: The dog came out and the announcer said : Ladies and Gentleman, the moment you've all been waiting for... Justin....Beagle!!!!" It was the highlight of my day... made us all laugh!)

UTAH UTAH UTAH!!!

We were FINALLY able to go to Utah for 10 days in July! We left early early July 2nd, and drove the 12 hours up there (I think it took us 11 hr. 45 min with stops). The kids did pretty well! Here's a quick timeline of what we did:
Saturday afternoon: Arrive at Breanne's house and have a family party with the Jensen (Uncle Bruce and Lori, Bryleigh, Uncle Rocky, Aunt Kathy, Grandpa Dave, Grandma Pam, Breanne, Mike, Baby Evan)
Spent the night at Breanne's.
Sunday: Go to church with Grandma Pam and Grandpa Dave, go back to their house for food and games.
Monday: Freedom Festival Parade (Provo) and lunch at the park. That night, Fireworks in West Jordan (so much fun!) The kids were exhausted. Bryson fell asleep halfway into the fireworks...
Tuesday: Brenton and I took the kiddos to Liberty Park. I LOVE THAT PARK! Bryson rode on the car ride all by himself (I was amazed!). I took Aimee on the Ferris Wheel- she didn't like that! Ate yummy food, saw the ducks. Tuesday night:Sparklers at Grandma Pam's and Grandpa Dave's home.
Wednesday: Hogle Zoo with Grandma Pam and Grandpa Dave, Aunt Breanne, and Baby Evan!At night, Brenton and I went to AMERICAN IDOL Tour! It was so much fun! Thanks, Grandma Pam and Grandpa Dave for watching the kiddos :)
Thursday:Bryson's early birthday party at Aunt Breanne and Uncle Mike's home! Thank you, Grandma Pam for the delicious Brownie cake :) Bryson loved his car-themed cake. We had hamburgers and hotdogs (Thanks Mike for grilling)! It was so much fun!
Friday: Grandma Pam went with us down to BYU. We met up with Jessica and Sam at the CougarEat! It was so nice to see them. Brenton found Elder Ben Jensen from our mission and we visited with him for a while! So fun! Aimee was so tired she fell asleep on me- that never happens! Don't tell Grandpa Dave, but we then went to the creamery for ice cream :) Delicious! Friday night we met up with our dear friends Phil and Kelli Shimek and their two cute kiddos at a park! It was so nice to catch up with them!
Saturday: Temple Square with Grandma Pam and Grandpa Dave. We rode TRAX up and Bryson LOVED it! We wore them out, they both fell asleep on the way back.
Sunday: Church with Grandma and Grandpa again, then lunch, then packing up to leave. Then, we went and met up with Aunt Leslie and her family ,and Jason and Kami and their kiddos for dinner at Aunt Les' home! Thanks for having us!
We spent the night there so we could have a head start on our trip.
Monday: Bright and early, we left at 3:30 AM (Dark I should say) to come back home. We decided we LOVE leaving early, it makes the trip go by so much faster.

We were sad to come home. We had so much fun with all our family and friends! We are sad we didn't get to see everyone, though! Hooray for new memories :)
We love our Utah family and miss them!
