Wednesday was such a great day! I feel so blessed to have seen my little girl. I'm grateful she's healthy and all looks well. We are so excited for her to join our family!

Can't Sleep...
It's 4:45 AM and I can't sleep. I've been up since 3, at least. I won't forget to take my Unisom again.... tomorrow isn't going to be fun. But, I have found a few happy things to do... facebooking (like usual), debating watching T.V., and
I've been thinking of this....

She has been kicking a lot today!
What could be better?!?!?!

Darn Nap Schedule
This pic was taken a couple days ago. Bryson fell asleep on the floor after only getting in one short nap during the day. Since church is now at 1 PM, we are having a hard time with naps. Bryson usually sleeps two naps a day- one around 9:30 or 10 AM for an hour and a half, and one around 1 or 2 for an hour and a half. With late church, this is impossible. We go from one nap a day to two to refusing naps to late naps so he won't go to bed til way past bed time. Any suggestions?!?!?
State Fair
Last Friday night, My aunt was kind enough to watch Bryson for us. We went up to SLC and went to the fair with Breanne and Mike. Thanks to a friend of theirs, we were able to get into the BOYS II MEN Concert! It was so much fun. I was surprised how many songs I actually knew :) It was a great date night with yummy fair food, a great husband, and fun new times. We even got to ride the carousel together!

Hogle Zoo
2 weeks ago, we went to the Hogle Zoo. Breanne and Mike were able to meet us there. We had a fun time watching the baby elephant, feeding the ducks, watching the penguins, and playing in the prairie dogs' home. Bryson loved running around. He wasn't too interested with the animals, unless they were active.

Way Exciting News
For those of you who remember, as a Communications Studies student, I worked for a few months this year on a big research project. We tracked 32 college-age Caucasian females to see how they view and perceive advertisements differently based on the race of the model in the ad. We wrote a paper on it and sent it to a conference. Here is a portion of the email our professor forwarded to us from the Vice President of the Council for the conference:
Congratulations on your excellent research! We are pleased to inform you that your paper has been accepted for presentation at the 2009 SWECJMC Southwest Symposium at the University of Texas in Arlington. The conference takes place on Nov. 6 and 7th.
We are so excited!

Laundry Time
Bryson loves laundry time. Before we had Bryson, we bought a little portable washer to use here in our house, so we didn't have to go do our laundry in the laundry room (which consists of one washer and one dryer for all 9 apartments here). Yesterday, Bryson wanted to watch the washer spinning and the water come out. He stood here for the whole 40 minutes or so it took to finish the load.

9/11
Eight years ago today, I was just in my first couple weeks of school at BYUI- a scared freshman, trying to get into the routine. I was away from home and protection from my family and surroundings for the first time. I was in the Smith building waiting for my first class to start, when on the TVs was the news showing the attacks. I was traumatized. I was scared. I was alone.
I called my dad. He's a lifesaver. Just hearing his voice made me feel better. How could people be so evil? How could they do this? I'll never be the same.
I love our country. I hated the people that did this. I'm thankful for the freedoms I enjoy here. They are definitely worth fighting for. I love the U.S.A., despite the many flaws. This is MY country, my home, my safety-net.
Today is a day of reflection. I hope I can always remember what happened, what I saw, how I felt.

And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA

Happy Birthday, Dad!
Interested....
After posting the poll, I'm curious to see why you think it is a boy/girl or if it's just a hunch. If you want to, leave me your ideas!
