Sitting Position

As you can see, Bryson likes to kneel/sit on his legs. He has been doing this for a while now. He prefers it to sitting on his bottom. It's easier, I guess. I've never seen a baby do this, but he does. Super cute!

BYU vs. ASU

There is a debate in our family as to which university Bryson will attend. I graduated from ASU, and Brenton graduates from BYU. My Grandma Cluff gave Bryson this cute outfit. I LOVE IT!
I think he does too. Hopefully this means he's headed there....

A Few of His Favorite Things....

Bryson has a few favorite things that we've taken pictures of over the last few days... They are in no particular order.

He loves to push around his little toy. He has mastered it!

We have a hard time getting this boy away from the keyboard! He loves it, much to our dismay!

Yes, Bryson loves the remotes. Not only does he like to chew on them, but he likes to change the channels and drive mom and dad crazy.

He loves to stand and also bounce. He is definitely a mover!

Bryson loves loves loves to stand up at the T.V., change the channels and volume, and watch T.V. in general!

This is Bryson and Laura. Bryson loves looking at her and getting close to her. He likes to touch her feet too. Most of the time, he's soft with her. Isn't that cute?!

It's Over....

Work is done! I've been working in a 6th grade class since September, and today was sixth grade graduation. It's bittersweet, I will miss the fun moments with the kids, my awesome coworkers, and the money, but I am sooo excited to have my days at home and spend time with my two favorite guys in the world!

UH OH!!!!

This morning, before church, Bryson took 2 WHOLE STEPS! That's right. Brenton and I were on the couch and Bryson was holding on to my leg. Well, he let go, took 2 steps, then grabbed on to my leg again. YAY! Our little boy is sooooo close!

Lots of Posts...

I've updated the blog! 8 more times! Please see ALL the cute pics and new posts below.

Look What I Can Do!

Bryson is really good at standing up, holding on to things. He'll walk along the couch holding on to it.

Well, on Wednesday, I think it was, before I went to work, Bryson held on to Brenton's phone and stood there! He was balanced and stood there for a good 10 seconds at least. He is gettinb more brave and lets go of things more often. Lots of times, this ends in him falling and hitting his head, but some lucky times he'll stay balanced!

Unfortunately, if he saw me taking a picture, he would get excited and lose his balance.

Yay Bryson! He's growing so fast! He's one smart boy!

Bedhead!

Bryson woke up from a nap the other day and his hair was crazy! It was all over the place, and it looked like he had a "rough" nap. Super cute, I had to take pics! Bedhead!

Anniversary Date

We celebrated our 2nd anniversary on Saturday, the 16th, since we had been busy all week. We went up to Texas Road House for lunch, then hit the Aquarium in Sandy. We had a fun time! The highlight of the aquarium, for me, was the octopus. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pics of it. I love spending time with my two boys!
Bryson decided to "Surf" in his stroller. He wouldn't let us buckle him in.. Don't worry, we were watching to make sure he didn't fall.

Breanne and Mike Visit

Last Friday, Breanne and Mike came over to visit. It had been a while, so we were way excited to see them! We ate a yummy breakfast for dinner and played a game. Bryson had fun catching up with them too.

Hogle Zoo

The day after Mother's Day, Bryson and I went with some friends to the zoo! We had a good time, except Bryson didn't last as long as I hoped. We had fun looking at the animals though, and visiting with friends!

A New Toy

We bought Bryson this new toy where he can sit on it, or push it around. HE LOVES IT! We love watching him do it, it's super cute and entertaining! At first, he wasn't quite sure about it, but now he loves it!

Climbing A Tree

Since our schedules allow right now, Bryson and I will go have lunch with Brenton at work on Tue and Thur. Right outside of work, there is a big tree, we put Bryson in it. He liked it!

For Aunt Lisa

Lisa gave Bryson this REALLY cute outfit! She knows I love cows! I think this outfit is so cute...I'm gonna keep it and put all my kids in it! The pants even had a cute tail on them! It also came with a cute bib! Thanks so much, Aunt Lisa!

#6

Tooth number 6 is here! I felt it just today... It's on the top, as well... now he has 4 on top, 2 on bottom. I can't believe my baby has 6 teeth! Goodness! Luckily, he hasn't been super-cranky or sick or anything... Hopefully that means he's a good little teether.

Two Years!

Cheesy post below... so feel free to skip if you want :) You can't say I didn't warn you...

Two years ago, today, I married my best friend
In the Temple, we promised love that would never end.

Though two years have passed, and much has changed.
My love for him, so strong, it remains.

I wanted to post a couple pictures of our wedding day as I sit, thinking, of that special day.
I'm thankful for that special day. I'm thankful for all our family and friends that were there to support us. Although it flew by, that day is etched in my heart. I remember getting married at 1:30 in the afternoon. It was HOT, but I loved it! It was perfect!
I am thankful that I was able to serve a mission. It was by far the hardest thing I ever did, but it was rewarding too. Not just because I was able to share something I believe in so strongly with others, but because it led me to Brenton. I keep thinking how many events in my life have led me to where I am today. Granted, we all have our agency, but I know that *Someone* Else had a hand in US. I'm grateful that we were married in the TEMPLE and that we know we can live together, forever, as a family unit. This brings so much peace to our lives, and makes us work so much harder at our marriage and family.
I'm thankful for Brenton. He is such a wonderful blessing in my life. He is at the top of my list of blessings, that's for sure. He's a wonderful husband and a great father. He's just what I need in my life.
I am thankful for the last two years and all I've learned from him. I look forward to an eternity more!

#5

Tooth number 5 appeared today! It might have been here before today, but I just noticed it! When you are looking at him, it's top right (next to his middle 2). Super cute! My baby is growing up. He'll be 10 months in 5 days!

9 Month Check-up

Today was Bryson's 9 month check up! WOW! Time flies so fast. Technically, today he is 9 months and 20 days, so almost 10 months! He had to get one shot and hardly even noticed it (I had him snackin'). He is so adorable! My baby boy is growing up so fast.
Here are his stats:
Weight- 19 lbs. 12 oz. 29th percentile
Length- 29 in. 65th percentile (Yep, he's tall)
Head- 17.9 in.- 47.5th percentile (He's always had a semi small/average head)

So, he's tall, and skinny.
I love Bryson. He brings me so much joy, even though he can be a little stinker.
Some of the things I want to remember about him right now:
He loves to stand up and climb on things
He loves to empty out my cupboards
He loves to empty out his diaper bag
He's very curious, loves exploring things
He has learned how to scream louder than before, and those are turning into tantrums when he doesn't get his way.
He crawls super fast
He loves going outside for walks in his stroller
He can clap his hands
He waves bye-bye, sometimes to strangers in the street
He is really loud- probably the loudest baby in our ward
He gives us "Kisses"- he opens up his mouth and touches our faces with it
He doesn't like to sit still anymore (my easy days are over)

I'm sure I could go on, but I'll give it a rest. We love Bryson! We can't hardly remember our life before we had him in it. He brings so much joy and laughter to our house.

Grandkids

When Bryson and I were in AZ, we took the opportunity to take pictures with the 4 boys in the family. You see, my parents have 4 grandkids, and they are all BOYS! Hunter is about 19 months, Bryson almost 10 months, Zane 5 months, and Jerrdan 2 months. They are so close in age and are so cute all together. I'm so glad we got these pictures taken! The photographer really did a good job! We were worried that we wouldn't be able to get all 4 kids lookin' good, but she did a wonderful job! She didn't even loser her patience. We appreciated it! It was quite the ordeal getting all 4 babies there at the same time happy and alert, but we lucked out!

Sunday!

The weather was nice on Sunday, afternoon, so we went for ANOTHER walk to the Duck Pond. Yes, we like going there. We took bread to feed the ducks, but they were all breaded out. There were tons of little ducklings in the water. We liked watching them. We also liked listening to them "chirp" or whatever sound it is baby duckies make. The turtles were sun-bathing on the logs, which was fun to see too. Sunday was a great day! Church, then time as a family, yummy food, and a walk to the Duck Pond.

Saturday Date

Saturday evening, Brenton, Bryson, and I went out on a date! We went to La Carreta (Peruvian Food) and the mall. It was fun! I love getting out with my 2 boys! Since we both served our missions in Peru, we love Peruvian food and crave it often. I'm glad we went! They have good food. We walked around the mall and let Bryson down to play at the play area. Unfortunately, it wasn't really for babies, but he still had fun crawling really fast and climbing on the "dinosaur" bones.

Swimming Lessons

Bryson and I are doing a Mom and Tot Swim class! It's at the Rec center, so it's indoors. It is 2 days a week and we are really enjoying it! Brenton came and took a few pictures. So far, we are learning to blow bubbles, go under, jump in, reach with your arms, and kick. Bryson likes to splash me and look around at everyone else. It's fun though, and we get to swim! Although he's not catching on to much, I am glad we can spend this time together and he can get used to the water! He goes under and although he doesn't love it, he doesn't cry when he does. We are in the class with my good friend, Meg, and her son Scotty. I'm glad she let us take the class with her! It's so much fun together!
