A Day in SLC and Bryson Developments

"We're all in this together!" Ok, I have to say I LOVE HSM 3! For all of you adults that think you are too cool for it, you should see it! Yes, it is cheesy, but it has a good story and very catchy songs. Brenton and I went on Friday afternoon. We took Bryson with us, and unfortunately, he only let me see the first half, and the last 5 minutes. But, it was amazing!
Saturday, Brenton, Bryson, and I decided we needed to get away for a day. We drove to SLC and went to see Breanne's new place. Then, we all went up to SLC and ate really good food at PF Chang's. I LOVE IT! After that, we drove up to the Church History Museum. It was awesome! We had a really good time seeing all the art and history of the Saints. Then, we went and played ROCKBAND at Mike's house. That was interesting, especially with me singing. All in all, we had a great day! We did however interrupt Bryson's naptime, so he screamed for a while, then slept for the whole PF Chang-Church history museum event.
Sunday evening we went to Aunt Leslie's! Thanks so much for dinner! It was delicious. She fixed a yummy roast/potatoes/carrots and salad. For dessert we had Apple Crisp. We always have a good time visiting you guys! While there, we put Bryson in the high chair. He loved it! So, today, we had to pull out his here at home so he can sit in it now.
Bryson is growing and developing so much. He is a homebody- he hates going out. We are trying to get him used to it, but it's difficult and stressful. We pulled out a little play center for him. He enjoys laying under it and playing with the toys.
Oh I almost forgot. Brenton was accepted to the Communications Program- Communications Studies major at BYU! He will start his major classes in January and will be graduating either in December '09 (hopefully!) or April of 2010. We are soooo excited to have a date for moving back to AZ! Congrats to Brenton! See, all your hard work is paying off! I love you!
Oh also, I got a haircut today! So, I'll include a picture of it. Bryson has started grabbing and pulling my hair, so we decided it was time for a change. I was a little nervous, but so excited after to have short hair... yep, it's a mom haircut!

Brenton and I in a makeshift bed just the same size as what the Saints had to ride in (their whole family in one) when they came across the Ocean.

Can I just say I love that quote?!?!

Grandma and Grandpa Jensen's Visit

This week my parents came up to Provo to visit us. We spent a decent amount of the beginning of the week just kinda hangin' out and shopping. Thursday, mom watched Bryson while Adree and I went on a date. We got Arby's and took it to the park and had a picnic. After we ate, we ended up falling asleep, but we had fun. On Friday we went to the Salt Lake Cemetery and saw a lot of the headstones of the prophets and other church history figures. It was really cool!! After that we met up with Breanne and Mike at a Peruvian Restaurant in Salt Lake. It was yummy food, and we even got to listen to some Karaoke. On Saturday we went up Provo Canyon and played around at Bridal Veil Falls, and then we went and played at HeeHaw Farms in Pleasant Grove. It was all a blast!

Yummy Peruvian food! Interesting Karaoke...

Here's some of us walking up the trail to Bridal Veil Falls.

That's some pretty foliage. But Adree's prettier!

All this fun wore Bryson out!

Adree and I took a ride down the slide at HeeHaw Farms. It was poopin' good fun...

Bryson's new discovery

Bryson has now discovered he has a thumb! I'm pretty sure he likes it more than he likes me. He LOVES to suck on his thumb. I have mixed feelings: I don't want him to suck his thumb, it'll be hard to break him of that habit. But at the same time, I like it because he soothes himself. Last night he slept from 10 PM to 7:30 AM. AWESOME! I heard him at 5:30 whining a little, but he had this thumb in his mouth and soon fell back asleep. Anyhow, he sure is cute, even with his thumb in his mouth!

Aunt Breanne

Breanne came to visit on Thursday. She was going to babysit Bryson while Brenton was at school and I was subbing for the 6th grade class, but I ended up being sick. So, Breanne, Bryson, and I got to spend the day together at home. We love it when she comes to visit! We hung out at home all day and went for an exciting walk to Smith's later in the day!

Marriage and Family

My old roommate sent me a forward that included the following link regarding Prop 8 in California. Us Arizonans are facing a similar Proposition. I just wanted to say that I am pro-marriage between a man and a woman only. Although I love everyone and treat them with respect, I have the right to stand against something I don't believe in, especially if it effects my family's future. This video really touched me.

Conference weekend!

Last weekend was awesome!!! We had General Conference and were able to listen to the counsel of the Prophet and Leaders of the church! Also, Brenton, Bryson, and I were able to spend the WHOLE weekend together! It was so fun to just be at home and relax and enjoy being a family. I cherish all the time I get to spend with my family, they are my world.
Work continues to go well. I enjoy working with the 6th graders and the teacher is wonderful. I get to sub for the class 2 days this week, which is pretty exciting. I never saw myself even being in a school working with kids but I love it.
Brenton is doing well with school and work. He is working sooooo hard to get good grades and provide for our family. He will be finding out soon about the Communications studies program.
Bryson is growing so much. He brings so much joy to our lives. He has begun to laugh and giggle more and more. He loves when mommy comes home and always smiles for her! He also has learned the art of chewing on his hand and sucking his thumb.
We look forward to Grandma and Grandpa Jensen coming to visit this weekend. We can't wait!

My Mommy's visit

My mom and grandma flew into town last Friday. They came up to visit and attend my cousin Michael's missionary farewell. Brenton, Bryson, and I picked them up from the airport on Friday afternoon. Friday night we just chilled at home. Saturday, Brenton had a field trip and I went to the SLC temple with the family. Michael was going through for the first time. So, my cousin Shari and her hubby Mike watched Bryson. Thanks so much guys!!!! We appreciate it! We spent the rest of the day at Aunt Leslie's house. Sunday, we went to the farewell and spent the day there again. Michael gave a great talk. I'm so impressed and I know he will be a great missionary in Michigan! He reports on the 15th of this month and we can't wait to see how much he changes over the next 2 years!
Monday afternoon Bryson, my mom, grandma, and Aunt Leslie, and me went to see "Nights in Rodanthe". It was good, but a tear-jerker! We went over to Aunt Leslie's and Grandma made the family favorite, HONEY CANDY! SO YUMMY!!!
Tuesday, Mom and I went shopping and she bought me some new clothes for work. I'm trying to update my look and actually wear clothes that fit me :)
All of this time, Brenton has been studying and working hard. He has finished his online D and C class. I'm so impressed with him and all his efforts.
That's a quick recap of the week... now for some pictures!

This pic is Bryson after he had his shots last Wednesday... He was burned out! Poor little guy...

Grandma Cluff (my mom) and Bryson...

I have to say that I love my mom! She is such a great mom and a wonderful Grandma too!! I appreciate all she does for me and our family. She has always been a great example to me of love and service. She even took Bryson 3 nights so Brenton and I could get some uninterrupted sleep...I love to play games with her, and we have lots of fun together. I love spending time with her. She loves me for me and let's me be silly. She is my best friend, next to Brenton, of course. I love it when she comes to visit and hate it when she has to leave. I can't wait to see her again! Thanks Mom for all you do for us! I love you!
