FinallyHola bitches! Yes here's much needed update (not that anyone out there's reading but hey...) There's been much going on and happening and I'm not quite sure where to start. Let's see, okay...
(a) Painful work-late nights - I have long come to dread taking on projects that have "OOH" stamped across them. Buses and trains are a bitch to zip up (anyone in the know will understand my pain). In between, I squeezed some time to chill with Nicky when he was back in town - we hit the Heineken Green Room gig at Singapore Museum where Jimpster & Justin Martin spun some good stuff, but the rest of the gig sucked big time. Better location next time HGR people...
(b) Massive crazy parties - What's a gal to do when she needs entertainment? Too many late nights and smelling funny the morning after. Enough said.
(C) Random CJ-ing to destress. How can I deny my love for CJ, esp since we've memorized most part of the menu.

Melu content with her dumplings. (Oooh Meloi you'd think I've forgotten these pics haven't you? -evil cackle-)

Ash tucking in.
(d) Busy busy busy school - Imagine having to hit the books everyday of the week plus weekends. The horror. And that's not the end of it! Exams coming up in a week's time too, pooo.
(e) Too many TVCs - Seriously how many TVCs does 1 brand need? I was up to my neck in edits. Just when I thought the nightmare was over, it will be starting soon again. Too much money? Too many markets? Too many TVCs.
(f) Saving the best for last - MELBOURNE! Oooh I love, love Melbourne. Traipsing around Flinders, Melbourne Central, Hot chocolate at Brunetti's, Safeway, Jamming in dodgy but artsy studio in Preston, finding the almost CJ equivalent in Little Burke St, clubbing/pubbing away, Krispy Kremes, Chicken schnitzels, Queen Vic's, St Kilda's, warming hands by the gas heater at 3am after a night out while furtively nibbling cakes from Acland St, auntie's fantastic drool-worthy food, auntie's friends' fantastic drool-worthy food...Oh the joys. I couldn't bear to leave & will definitely be back soon. -sniff-

Doing the touristy thing outside the visitor's centre

The cathedral
First day out. We wandered around town, met up with Nicky and had fantastic Italian at where else but Lygon St. Thereafter went to some hotel for this crazy indie gig (people were dressed like goths, the place looked like a dungeon, I was freezing my ass off) Then Wesley joined us (much to Paul's joy) and we headed for Croth Institute.

Clinic, eat your heart out.
Croth is THE underground Clinic. Bartender's fantastic. Tell him what you want & he'll tailor something for you. Yes even the non-alcoholic one. That was also when Wes introduced everyone to the "Snickers" - something about taking some chocolatey liquor, dropping into beer and viola! tastes like Snickers! See I don't drink so I don't recall what the hell it is, so anyhoo.

The boys before the Snickers. Trust me, you don't want to see the after.

The girls.
I was so pooped (mind you it was our first day) and fell asleep at Croth. It was too comfy, I was tired. Then we left & went to visit Mark (Don's cuz) in the middle of the night at UniLodge. Mainly because I was too cold and tired. Fell asleep on Mark's couch while the boys basically did other stuff while watching me doze off. Was awoken after and shuttled to Wesley's place in Preston. At this juncture I have to say that at 2am in the morning, his house was filled with
The smell, housemates, housemates' friends & friends of friends who looked very dodgy - or at least it looked like it to me in my erm, sedated state. I loved it. Completely. Crashed there and got ferried home thereafter.
OK if I continue, this post will become a novel. Let's see, saw the Guggenheim at the NGV (lovely & fantastic), shopped at Queen Victoria's where I wanted to bring every grocery item and produce home, hung with Wes and Bob both whom I love, the boys headed up to Mt Bulla while I had a day out with Nicky scoffing down Stalactites slovakis, baclava and meat platters. We had our jamming session at the studio behind Wes' place where I was most of the time, useless hehehe.

We headed up to Torquay for a day.

Down by the sea. We had surfers running up the wooden stairs looking like hell froze their asses over...and then running back down to the icy waters again.

My favourite pic.
What's better than Krispy Kremes? The Chai latte at Krispy Kremes I say. A godsend during cold nights.
Most of the crazy pictures are on Paul's camera, so perhaps when I get them I'll post them up...or not hehehe.
After our long trip, we came back to reality where work and school piled up and threatened to do me in. There were many weekends where we skipped church and just laid around, doing nothing. A sheer luxury.
Now I am alone again (yay or nay?), working and counting down the days to every weekend. After I finish this exam I'll be the last lap. 2 more modules to graduation! Yip!!! Oh and not forgetting Zoukout 07 coming soon. Osunlade and Coxy! <3 indeed...
I have to say it wasn't all that fun and games. In between there were many moments which I wished I didn't go through. Its been a long weather-y time, but I am glad I came out of it happier & I wouldn't have done any different.
