Fun in Salt Lake

I never would have thought we'd be so excited to take a trip to Salt Lake. We spent the last week having a great time spending time with our families. Here are a few highlights from our fun time in Salt Lake.

Playing in the fountains at Gateway

Discovery Gateway

Having fun at Grandma and Grandpa's

Norman Family Reunion

4th of July

Drew painted this pot to put on Lizzie's grave. She was excited to finally be able to plant a flower in it and get it there. It has been a long time since we've been able to go to the cemetary. It was nice to spend some time there.

I Think I Might Cry

I am obviously so behind on our blog. I have been saving pictures on my camera and thought I'd do one big post. I had pictures of the kids playing baseball and softball, Sam's birthday, our trip to Capitol Reef, my parents 50th anniversary....and I'm sure lots of other things. Well, now they're gone. I think I'm going to cry. Sometime during my parents anniversary party, they got erased. I don't want to point fingers, but I know one little boy who is famous for erasing pictures off my camera. At least I ended up with a few pictures from the anniversary.

Here is Drew and Sam dancing at my parents anniversary party. They could only stand each other for a few seconds, but it was good while it lasted...and a good photo opp. We had the party at the Lion House and had a yummy dinner and got on awesome band. It was very fun.

We've had a summer full of baseball and softball...and it's been great!! The kids have had so much fun. All pictures of Sam playing baseball are gone. I am sick we don't have pictures of him. He had so much fun and did a great job. Drew's softball team ended up going to the State Tournament again this year. They took 3rd place. It was really exciting, yet a little disappointing for her because they won the tournament last year. She was invited to play with an accelerated team, so she gets to play in a couple tournaments the first part of August.

I am not going to let this happen again. I now have a goal to download the pictures of my camera before they get erased and to not get behind on my blog.

Drew's Pink Pants

This is Drew in 2002. She is on her way to gymnastics wearing her favorite pink sweats. She just got them for Christmas a few months earlier. She was sooo adorable in them.

Here is Drew in 2009. Yes, 7 years later. You might think she is wearing capris or maybe even shorts, but no, these are the same pink pants. Not as cute. If by chance I ever get a hold of them to wash them, she thinks I've been sneaky and got rid of them. I have to remind her they need to be washed AT LEAST monthly. :) I have no idea how they aren't cutting off the circulation around her waste. My kids weren't blanky kids, where they had their favorite blanky and drug it everywhere. Apparantly Drew is a pink pants kid. I'm not really sure how to get rid of these pants or if it is really worth it. At this point, I'm just excited to see how long she will actually be able to pull them up.

Our Big Black Blob....Bob

I remember saying 2 years ago when we were finally dogless that we would never get another dog, EVER!! I've even advised a few of my sisters NOT TO DO IT!! Well...we did it again. This is Bob. Our new black poodle. I have to say, he is a really good dog. I can't believe I'm saying this, but better than Lucy was. It's hard to get a picture of him because he is so black, he just looks like a big black blob. We got him just in time for what would have been the most boring spring break. We were planning on going camping, but then I got sick and now it's been snowing. Thanks Bob for giving us some entertainment on our days off.
