Backlog: Jackson's 21st Birthday Celebration (May 2010)

Jackson turned 21 this year. We celebrated it in Hogs' Cafe in Toa Payoh Central. Quite a cozy place to dine in especially when there was not much crowd and when we had 3 kids with us.


The kids entertained themselves with mobilephones' videos and games as usual. Can't imagine if we don't have these gadgets to keep them occupied. :P

Backlog: Alden's Birthday in Apr 2010

It was Alden's 2nd birthday celebration and we had a family lunch party. Bought the banana chocolate cake from Secret Recipe as banana is his favourite fruit. The cake was transformed to his favourite character deco with a off-the-shelf Thomas Train toy. Thanks to mum and sis, for the great lunch!

Amelia's graduation party at Apple Tree during last Nov 09. It's a pity that Apple Tree only has class for 1 year. Now she has just started her nursery at PCF which is the neighbourhood PAP school. Hope that she will enjoy the classes as well.

Hello! Hello!

Browsed my blog today and a couple of my friends. Realised that I'm not the only one who have not be active in blogging. Is it because we are all too busy or this web tool has failed to engage us further to commit a portion of our time since there have been many new social platforms around?

For me, it was definitely the former. Worse, Sean's computer has declared dead a few weeks back and my laptop HDD failed on me recently. Gentle reminder to all out there who read this, please do regular back-ups of your files despite your busy schedule. It doesn't matter if you are using Imation or any of our brands (hahaha, best is ours lah), but trust me, you won't regret when your machine decided to give you a break. I had my fair share especially when it happened just even SITEX, one of our busier periods. I guess this is the same as how we live our life. When things happen, you'll probably think why you didn't do that previously. So do take some time to checklist your priorities like health, insurance etc. Prevention is always better than cure. :)

Dora Themed Birthday Party

Amelia was into Dora's craze just before her birthday. The local bakeries didn't have Dora The Explorer as one of the licensed characters though there are a couple of them in cupcakes. We decided to have a simple celebration. Thanks to my sisters, we had a DIY Dora Themed Cake and party to spice up the fun. Even the many little gifts were Dora stuff.....including VCDs. hahahahaha..Happy Birthday Amelia!

It was day out for us to celebrate Amelia's 3rd birthday and we were glad to find this newly opened playground for the kids. Kudos to internet bloggers' recommendations!

We spent almost half of the afternoon there and were glad to be early and had the place by ourselves apart from 1 family before the many other kids came by around 3pm. The older kids especially the boys were a bit rowdy.

Brought Amelia to have sushi some months back and she enjoyed the experience especially with the plates of food on the rotating conveyor belt.
