Alex and Arrow

For those of you who don't know this, we had to get rid of Bruno when we moved. It was not a easy decision for us, but one that was necessary, mainly for me. We miss him lots, and hopefully next year when we have a fence up, we will get another dog. But for now, my sister's dog Arrow is kind of a good surrogate dog for the kids. When Merideth first started to bring Arrow over, Alex was kind of unsure of him. He got scared of him and would often cry. But now, he LOVES Arrow. So much so, that the last time Arrow came over, Alex was following him around like his shadow. He was even pointing to Arrow and saying, "AO". And sometimes he would bark like him. I got my camera out because he was being so cute with Arrow. Arrow is really a good dog and tolerates my kids. But I think by the end of this visit, he was ready to go home and get rid of his new shadow.

This is Arrow's "water dish". Alex was fasinated when Arrow would take a drink. He just squatted right next to him and watched. Then he tried to take a "drink" at one point. So funny!

Summer Time and Weeds

Well, school is out and we are already out of things to to. I am in trouble. One nice thing is that there are a lot of kids in our cul de sac and they have lots of fun running from one house to the next playing. The girls are having lots of fun!! Today made me laugh though. We, of course, don't have a real "yard" to play in right now. Just weeds. Well, the kids have turned our weeds into a hide and seek play land. I had to take pictures because it made me laugh that you really could not see them when the duck down and crawled. They played for hours!! I love it!!
