thanksgiving

ever try to teach little kids about THANKSGIVING... it was interesting this year... no idea what pilgrims were... ???

back on the home front... what a day...

night before - Rich does the grocery shopping, [had to wait till we got paid :)] comes home with flowers... SWEET!
so Erika and Kevin were with his family --- cool!
Justin and Cassi were with her family ---- cool!
so just Rich, Shaela, Kyndra and myself --- cool!
girls want something like Chicken Enchiladas... ???
Rich DEFINATELY wants turkey...
hello its THANKSGIVING...
turkey wins...
anyway -- nother glinch - Kyndra needs to go to work at 3 --- that's okay, we'll have dinner done by then, no big deal - cuz Rich is gonna want to go to a movie - and really - when did we start that tradition of going to a movie on the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday? I don't remember? anyway...sooooooooo....

Shaela and Rich and Jill decorate the place for Christmas --- shaela could hardly wait for Thanksgiving so we could decorate [which is not one of my traditions to decorate for Christmas on Thanksgiving,... but what the heck.. :)]
inside, outside - all ready for Christmas --- no tree yet, but its only Thanksgiving.. and I've NEVER decorated this early before - Ever... feels kinda nice :)

Kyndra, Rich and Jill go to a movie - tooooo many people there, no good seats left, so go home....
so we watch a movie at home --- rented one from Hollywood Video --This Christmas--- don't see it - slow moving film.....
munch a little here and there....
and the weather?

holidays are coming!!

So yesterday was halloween, which is the start of seasons to come... you know the holidays! I love the holidays, but also get very anxious, cuz we never have the finances... but it always works out, so it will this year too :)

this halloween we were a bit like 'scrooge' at Christmas. Basically no one was home for trick or treaters... okay I was for maybe an hour, but I had the lights off in the front of the house for most of that time... I was only waiting for Della and her granddaughter to come over for a visit, and Erika to come so we could go get dinner... :) Rich had homecoming this week at his high school, so halloween night was the homecoming game, so he stayed for that... He dressed as Clark Kent/Superman during the week... Kyndra worked - and was Dorothy [from the wizard of oz]and came home with the flu... yuk! and Shaela was raggady ann at work. My kindergarten team was a bag full of M n Ms [picture is only the teachers, but the aides were in costume also] and the office staff was Snow White and the 7 dwarfes.. and they were awesome! just gotta love it! this is my fourth year at this school, and we're finally in the spirit.... :)

may these holidays approaching find us healthy and happy and full of wonderful anticipation! :)
