school time

so school has started.... okay so it started a few weeks ago for some, okay for me. The week before school started with actual kids in the classroom, a water heater blew and flooded the 1st grade bathrooms and the 1st grade and kindergarten halls. Four of the eight teachers could stay in thier rooms, but the remaining four needed to be moved to other rooms.... yes, I was one of the lucky ones to move... okay, not lucky! So for those 3 and a half first weeks of school [seriously it's only been that long?] I am in a room that is off of the multipurpose room.... you have to be quiet when coming out of the classroom because they are having PE, and the first few days of PE, or the first few days of anything at school is talking routines .... keep 28 kindergarteners quiet.... okay. sure. So we have had a very adventurous 3 to 4 weeks of school. It seems longer. Friday of this week I get to move back to my room.... of course the wall that has the bullitin board type cover stuff? that is backordered, so whatever I put on that wall - which is of course everything! has to come off in another few weeks when it gets here.... okay.

but the class I have is wonderful. I have 16 boys and 12 girls. They are fun and great kids. But 28 kindergarteners is too many.... one teacher even came by and said - okay so they all have watched us walk by and say - wow, this is a big class!!! But this particular teacher said - 28 huh? and 2 adults! hmmmm.... but then he walked with us a little and did hugs and bubbles with my kiddos! :) [arms folded and mouths quiet :)] Loved it!! We do split classes in three more weeks and then I will have 20 kiddos!!! 20!!!! It will definately be quiet! wow, 8 kiddos gone!!! this will leave me with 12 boys and 8 girls.... wow!!!

Rich and Kyndra started school the same day. Rich is in a new building at school and so he had to move rooms from last year.... the first 3 weeks he has had no computers hooked up.... teach keyboard typing with no computers... hmmmmm......

Kyndra is in classes half the school day with work in the afternoons.... her day is full!!! she goes to school, come home and does some homework...[???] and then to work about 4 hours unless it's friday [6 hours] or saturday [8 hours]... busy girl!!!

shaela starts classes soon. She is excited to get going on it again!! She will be taking some esthetician classes and graduate from esthetician school about March.

cousins

We had a great week when Kristen and Lauren were able to spend time with us. That week Kyndra and the two went to sunsplash, swimming at a friends house, and wake boarding... thanks to another wonderful friend that took them and Rich out on his boat. We all got together one evening for dinner and then games at Dave and Busters! Some of the girls made a killing at one of the machines that gave out tickets and they were getting tons of tickets, which they turned in for some wonderful 'toys' for keepsakes of thier fun night.
