its June - again!!

2010 June

wow!! I haven't posted since December of last year! ah well, what was I gonna tell you about? My classroom? Crazy but fun kiddos. That is in fact, where I spent a lot of my time those first few months but...

Rich and I have now been married 30 years! I can't believe it either... but we decided to have a vacation like we've never done.

I've always wanted to go back east and especially New York, so we did!!

we went to Washington DC, then to New York City, then up to Boston, down to Cape Cod and over to Buffalo New York to see the Niagara Falls... what a wonderful two weeks,

wow, October, November, and December - it's been busy

October: went to St George for Brandons wedding

family came down to visit!

WD was in town for a conference, so spent a night with us - cooked us dinner... hmmm

a visit from Santa - oh, that was Rich

Rich is even holding the little guy - he's breaking his rule of holding a baby before they are 6 months old!

August

I'm sure things have happened this month of August, besides, Shaela passing her boards and is a licsensed aesthetician, Kyndra getting broadsided by someone running a red light - and yes she is okay..... Rich and Jill starting back to school and getting ready for the kiddos in thier classes to start school, but all that really was important...

we got family pics taken [technically the last weekend in June, but hey, whos keeping track really]


for the fourth we had fun with family and our friends the Christensens.... we went swimming at a house shaela was house sitting for, and then food at our house... Erika and Kevin didn't come for they spent a few days in Payson with friends...


we had some fun being together as family in the southern part of Utah!!! hiking, eating, playing, eating, sight seeing, eating, playing games, eating, exploring, eating,





oh, and celebrating the twins birthdays!


We had a baby shower for Cassi

June

school is out for all - finally for Rich
been a month of relaxing? getting caught up on all the jobs that never get done and creating more jobs that aren't getting done... so the front yard is done - I didn't plant flowers in the front tho - well, not yet =)

did book club with erika's group - made little bee cupcakes to go with the story

Shaela graduated from aesthetician school - takes the state board in July!!!
Jills birthday - yes to Benihana - yum

reacquaint with family and friends with dinners, lunches and CHOCOLATE CAKE NIGHTs together =)

and family pictures done - haven't done this since Justin left on his mission - ahhh 6 years ago???
and yes... there seems to always be a chicken around

MAY

May has brought graduation - Kyndra has Graduated from High School... whoohoo!!!





Our house is painted and rocks in front - many people have wondered where our house is, cuz it's so different...

It was Justin and Rich's birthdays this month
Diann made Rich his favorite kind of cake - no not a donut, but german chocolate with coconut pecan frosting...

Kevin and Erika went to San Francisco area where Kevin did some work - they spent a day in San Fran and another on the beach...

April

this is no longer what our front yard looks like... we got rid of the tree -- before it was the two palm trees and another little tree, and dug up the ground that we will be putting new gravel on. Those rocks are now places all over the front yard. You'll have to wait until next month to see pictures of updates.

other than that - Rich, Jill and Erika are still employed for next year, as teachers... a lot of great teachers were let go due to being first year teachers. Hopefully we won't have 30 to 40 kids in each class for next year. Hopefully a lot of things.

Justin is unemployed as of right now. They [whoever he worked for] let him go, cuz the other guy had more experience than him. But since they have let Justin go, this other guy has run into something with the van -cost $4000, and flooded a house - cost -not sure... Justin was so much better, so fingers crossed, maybe they will let this guy go? And hire Justin back? In the meantime he has been looking for work - so fingers crossed again! :D

Everyone else is doing great! Just busy, busy, busy!

Spring Break for Rich was a week earlier than for Jill and Kyndra

what happened during this two week duration:
finished the kitchen cabinet baseboards
bought a 2006 Jeep Liberty for $8000 for Jill to drive
Kyndra bought a 2003 Hyandai Elantra for $4000
Erika bought a 2003 Toyota Camry $7500
bought a 2001 Toyota Tacoma for $8000 for Rich to drive
made 4 ragg baggs to sell [see at right]
lunch with friends a few different days
got a massage - thanks past students
got a facial - THANKS Shaela
got a pedi - Thanks Erika
read four books to Armentis Fowl series
