It's been a long while since i've updated my blog. hahaha. but anyway i just got 'scammed' into a 'job interview' with VE. ur right, the &#@*#(# Venture Era Group. Wasted 3 hours of my life at that stupid dumb place for the dumb presentation. Or should I say 'interview'.

I read in the newpaper classified that 'part-timers required at MDIS(wow sounds nice huh), customer service and admin work'.

Who on earth would think its the god damn MLM!??

And please guys. don't get fooled to this shyt business. It's climbing high on the scam scale.

Anyway here are some links that you guys might want to look into. Quite intriguing I would say.

CONCLUSION: STEER CLEAR FROM VENTURE ERA OR ANY OTHER MLM COMPANIES PL0X. Whenever you are asked to go for a 'job interview', kindly ask for their company name and find out more lest you want to waste your time and effort there.

Ahh, how time flies again. Sorry if I haven't been updating regularly ):

Anw, rather eventful week I had. Caught 3 movies in the past 2 weeks.

In a nutshell:

BANGKOK DANGEROUS:

Brief sypnosis:

This movie showcased Nicholas Cage as a cold-blooded hitman who travels to Thailand to finish four missions. He ends up falling in love with a local woman (Charlie Young) and befriends an errand boy.

Rather simple plot and straightforward plot but with several nice and nifty scenes. Thoroughly enjoyed myself during the course of the movie and it's been a while since I enjoyed a action movie. Has quite a cliche plot but its well worth the money nevertheless, considering its a hollywood and Thai collaboration.

3.5/5 stars :DD

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

BABYLON A.D:

Brief sypnosis:

The world has turned into shambles and chaos reigns supreme. Refugees are doing everything to escape the death and poverty of Europe and Asia. There is one man who isn't running - Toorop (Vin Diesel), a gun-for-hire with a simple rule: don't ask questions. His new assignment has him escorting a nun and a girl from a convent in Central Asia to New York City. When it becomes apparent that there is more to these women than meets the eye, Toorop has to start asking some questions.

Three words: What A Waste. This movie could have been such a phenomena, with a unique plot, enough suspense to keep you away from the frequent toilet trips and hunky Vin Diesel as the main actor, what could possibly go wrong? Apparently, the movie was short-changed of its original intent. Blame FOX company for its ridiculous limitations on the movie. The director had no choice but to chop off nearly 30 mins of scenes, which caused the whole movie to appear choppy and disorganized. It was said that the director was so unhappy with the outcome of the movie that he refused to hold any press or conferences.

Seriously, this movie could have been darn good and I was rooted onto my chair the entire screening. Due to the constraints for the movie, a good chunk of the ending was cut and this made the entire plot uber confusing. I believe no one understood the entire movie fully as too many things remained unexplained. But ahhh, I thoroughly salute to the director for his great attempt. I would have rated this movie a 4.5/5 if I was able to watch the original/unedited version.

Anw, 3/5 stars ):

BOYS OVER FLOWERS: THE MOVIE.

Based on top selling manga "Hana Yori Dango", Tsukasa eventually falls for Tsukushi and plans to marry her by presenting a family heirloom - a tiara. However, the tiara goes missing and sets them off on a wild adventure around the world to retrieve it.

Ahh, nothing much to say about this movie other than it was rather dull and slow-paced and packed with many corny and cliche scenes. Super predictable movie with a corny outcome. Plus, I forked out $8 to catch this movie so found it to be a waste. hahahaha. But it's not THAT bad. The ending kinda saved this movie's ass from being dumped in my top 20 worst-movies-of-all-time with some rather touching scenes. The entire cast were good to look at, literally. Makino is uber l33t cute and with the shuai original hana yori dudes, kinda made this show pretty :D

2/5 stars :DD

Alright, enough of movie reviews. School had been pretty mundane, but with fun peeps in the class, it nicely acted as a motivation for me to carry through the class' learning. It's been a while since I touched DoTA and having had the chance to play it during breaks certainly made me happyhappy.

Anyway, for the past week, ET, Sheila and me had been going to Angeline's house to do up the collage board for Shaun's birthday. Really glad it turned out to be really nice and even more glad that Shaun liked it a lot. Went for his BBQ birthday celebration at East Coast Park in the afternoon and it was fun (: Took quite a few pics with gang and played around.

Shall post the pictures another time :D

OMG. Been almost 2 weeks since I've last blogged. How time flies really. But I'm back! Been way too busy with a lot of stuff recently and haven't had the time to post a good one.

Anyhow, highlight of these 2 weeks: New semester in school!!

In a nutshell,

New class:E36L

Peeps:AWESOME. Really fortunate to have very nice classmates around.

Facis:Well, I got Roy back as my communications faci, but the rest is CMI. All 5 are males, 2 of them are balding, 1 is a gay and all 4 are boring, boring facis with uber high expectations. And somehow, aside from Roy, all 4 other facis are stick-thin, and have rather similar features hahaha.

Other feelings about this new semester. Heard from Jin's ex-faci that all facilitators are told to be harsher on grades for the new semester because apparently, there were many instances whereby students did very well for their daily grades but failed to achieve the same standard for their UTs, this had been a cause for concern for quite a while already because it is only right that your UT grades do not fall too far behind your daily grades as if so, the grades will lose their credibility.

Didn't take me long to realise that a lot of my classmates are very vocal and are high-flyers in grades lololol. This fact alone didn't help at all. As in really, I would say that at least 20 students in my class are able to do a proper presentation and elaborately fairly adequately. ahaha. This will also mean that I have to work doubly hard in the coming days.

Anyway, this class of mine has been real fun, with the exception of, uhm. Oh well its okay (: hahahaha. Within a few days we grew relatively close and I'm just really happy to say that all of the guys in the class are really fun people. No signs of any stuck-up attitude whatsoever (: Really proud to be in this class and shall look forward to school everyday.

Oh yeah, just went back to sem 1's leo to take a look at my UT4 grades and I was rather disappointed, to say the least. If I was able to do better for my UTs, I will definitely be able to do much better hahhaa. But considering the fact that I never studied any of the UTs but merely looked through them a few minutes beforehand, I was quite proud already hahaha. But yeah, will definitely be studying for my UTs for Sem2 (:

Ciao! :D

P.S. Thanks Panda for being such a great friend in class :D

Hmm, had a really enriching day. Went for Iris and Joyce's cell group meeting and church service today because recently Joyce has been asking me out for their cell group trips and stuff and I havent been able to make it. So yaaa. Since I haven't got anything better to do at home, I decided to make it a point to go.

Anyway, was reading my daily dose of newspaper when I came across this article which I would like to comment a bit on. It is regarding the recent table-tennis saga. To those who haven't yet heard of this saga. It was about this no. 1 top seed paddler, Gao Ning who played in the olympics men's singles without a coach by his side. Apparently, the coaches felt the need to 'nurture' and 'spend more time' with the women's side because they seemingly had a 'higher chance' to yield a medal for Singapore.

The coach that was supposed to be with Gao Ning was reportedly down with a sickness and thus, no coach was made to be with Gao Ning for his match that day. I was utterly disappointed when I read of this news the other time. How could they not have a proper contigency plan? But what irked me the most was that the coaches favoured the women's team mainly 'cos they were supposedly the only ones capable of earning the coveted medal for Singapore.

As I read the papers today, it was said that a lot of Singaporeans felt that Gao Ning was a wuss and lamented that he should be capable of handling the match ALONE without any coach. I beg to differ entirely. We're talking about an entirely different level of competitive arena, the OLYMPICS leh. It is only right that a coach is there to guide and motivate/encourage the player what. There is just so much a coach can do by being with the player and I felt utterly disappointed at the fact that not a single coach was assigned to him for his match.

As a result, Gao Ning got thrased by his opponent who was ranked so much below him. He just couldn't take the pressure alone and I really felt for his humiliating defeat. Things wouldn't have been the same if he had someone there to support/give precious advice, encouragement. Gaaah. I believe it is every athlete's dream to be able to compete in the olympics, and Gao's hopes and dreams were dashed- Just 'cos of some selfish mindset and acts by the coaches.

Thus, I'm not feeling proud nor honoured that the women's team had won us a silver medal. It was won at the expense of another great athlete who was marginalised just in order to be in a seemingly better position to win a medal for Singapore.

Bye -.-.
