Peace on Earth

Mimi emailed me the other day with a fabulous idea she come up with called Dona nobis pacem in the Blogosphere. After recent nuclear tests in North Korea, Another plane hitting a building in NYC, mayhem in Iraq and all the other problems around the world, Mimi's idea is to have a "World Peace" day on Nov 7 2006. She may not be able to achieve complete world peace (I wish she could), but she is making a start by trying to have a day of peace in the Bloggersphere.

Always wanting to be part of a great idea, I am jumping on board and am going to post "Dona Nobis Pacem" on Nov 7. If you would like to be part of Mimi's movement, please click the link above or go to Mimi's blog for more info.

New Template

Welcome to the new template at A World of Bloggers. I hope to have made it a bit more user friendly. I have moved the countries / Territories list to the sidebar for better access. You can now also click directly to countries starting with each letter.

I will continue to post new links for the week on the right each week, but eventually they will fall off into the achives.

Bestest Blog Re-run Sunday

It's been seven and a half weeks since Bobby Griffin awarded this site Bestest Blog of the Day. At the time, only four countries/territories had been filled and only a few friends linked in the sidebar. Since then the blog has grown spectacularly, and there are now 35 bloggers listed amongst the countries/territories and another 57 blogs amongst the 'friends'.

I have a fair way to go to achieve my goal yet. There are 247 countries/territories listed below, which means there are still 212 places to fill. It may take a long time to achieve that goal, but I don't mind, as it has been a fun journey so far, and I have met many new wonderful friends from around the world in the Bloggersphere. If you haven't met them already you will find their blogs below and to the right.

Thanks to Frank Sirianni, I now have a graphic available that you are welcome to use on yourblog. If you would like to add a bit of colour to your blog and graphically (pun) show your membership at A World of Bloggers, just cut and paste the following html code into your template somewhere and remove the two“---“ from the code:
