So many things, so little energy

Last weekend I had my CDT (contemporary dance theater) reunion that had been on my calendar for about 2 years.

I can't explain to people the effect that this experience (CDT in general, not the reunion) had on my life.  There were only 5 years that BYU-Idaho had a touring contemporary company once it became a 4 year school, and I was on the company for 4 of those years (and 3 weeks of a 5th year).  After that it became Dance Alliance, which is really cool but just not the same.  I'm overwhelmed by the idea of how few of us had this experience!

Thank you to some of my very best friends in the whole world for an amazing and eye-opening weekend.  Love you all (and missed you if you couldn't be there).

It was so fun to watch my kids play with the kids of all my dance friends.  This is just a few of them.
 Extravadance
Two of my favorite people in the world, Wendy and Michael Bone (CDT director and husband)

And this leads me to my next news.  A fairly giant group of my dance friends and I now have something else to share...all of us having a child who will be the same age :) 3 of the girls didn't get to come because their babies already came or are coming in a couple weeks, but here are the rest of us in order by due date. August, September, October, November, DECEMBER (that's me), and January.

I forgot, I also successfully ( I think) planned my 3rd ward party.  It was a couple of days ago at the park and it was really fun.  Who said the Activities committee chairperson shouldn't be a ward calling? The best thing about my "calling" is that I plan things and people SHOW UP!

Next post I'll get back to spotlighting my children.  Everest is making some big (and inconvenient) strides.

Motor mouths

You would not believe the things that are coming out of these little boys' mouths, just in the last 3 or 4 days.  I can't even keep straight who is saying what anymore, but some of the words we've been hearing regularly are: shoe, done, hat, more, nose, baba, wawa (water of course), mama, dada, Jadie, sock, bye bye, hi, baby, and pretty much any word that we say they try to copy.  Yesterday I 'caught' Calder trying to SING twinkle twinkle little star, when we made eye contact he started laughing.  They both also blow kisses, give high fives, pat-a-cake on cue, and try to put their own shoes on while saying "shoe?".  Its hard to remember all the things they do until they do them.  I may come back and add some as I remember. And maybe I'll add a picture too...

UPDATE: This morning Calder was standing on the ledge of the fireplace, counting to 3, and then jumping off (his counting is more like "too too wee" than "one two three" but still!)

And also, here's the newest Breaking Dawn Trailer :) Its the last movie in the series so I promise I'll be done posting this stuff soon enough.

The World's 3 most beautiful children.  No offense.

The only picture that may need an explanation: The boys first day in nursery at church :) And yes, I took a picture. Calder just doesn't like to cook I guess.

Work it girl

I mean really, how can I choose which one of these is cutest?

 Ok, maybe that one :)

Jade has found a little bit of a kindred spirit in this little girl.
Her name is Marian. She's equally rambunctious and enjoys hugs just as much.
It just warms my heart to see them playing together.  After their fun day, Jade said very excitedly "Mom! We came up with a perfect idea! We're going to go my house, her house, my house, her house..."etc. Sounds great :)
This poor kid was feeling left out.
But its ok because Jade drew him this cute picture of the two of them holding hands :) This was done using a thumb tac and sentsy warmer. Clever.
My kids are pretty cool.
