I've got food poisoning or something, so the only thing that makes this holiday different from any other day for me is that instead of cleaning all day I'm reading. And not just ONE young adult fiction novel, but TWO. Well I'm reading one, and then listening to the other while I feed the boys. I'm realizing that there really are too many similarities between the books I read to be reading 2 at once. Specifically the love triangles where a whiny girl somehow catches the eye of two really great guys. I'm not gonna lie, I still love all these books. I'm a little bit whiny myself so maybe I can relate to these female characters more than I'd like. Anyway, if you happen to be spending your memorial day blogging and reading like me, here is some intellectual stimulation for you :) Let's see how you do on your YA fiction love triangle trivia. And in case you don't know them (some of them are pretty obvious) I have linked them to their respective novel. Obviously 3 kids isn't enough to keep me busy, and I'm a little bit of a dork...
Gale vs. Peeta
Edward vs. Jacob
David vs. Tamani (The one I'm reading right now)
Jared vs. Ian
Jace vs. Simon (The one I'm listening to right now)
Martin vs. Mr. Nobley
Wes vs. Jason
Stefan vs. Damon
Hal vs. the Intellectual dweeb (ok this isn't a YA book but a rivalry nonetheless, and one I have been engrossed in every day with my daughter for the last week)
How'd you do?? Happy Memorial Day :)

What??
I am so bothered by this article and don't know what to think or say about it. I just need to know that someone else is on my side. So that you can decide whether or not you want to read it, I'll tell you its about a couple who has decided not to tell anyone the gender of their new baby because they want the child to "decide for itself what it wants to be". What?? Why? Talk about setting yourself, and your child, up for problems. Anyway, let me know what you think. I'm just so grateful for my DAUGHTER AND TWO SONS.
And also, I guess my blog isn't allowing people to post comments? That's what my sister said. If that's true, you can email me at wjmckee83@gmail.com. I'll try to get the problem fixed.
And if you missed it, see Calder's big milestone below :)

Reminder
Thank you mom for the reminder of how wonderful it is to have children and a family who I love and who love me. Not that I should need a reminder. How cute are they??
And in case any of you need a reminder too, this is a wonderful video.
And this just in!
Way to go Calder. Just because Everest is older and bigger doesn't mean you can't do things he can't do yet :)

Second Home

Beautiful boys...Everest left, Calder right. Can you tell yet?
I stayed with my sister in Boise for a night then went to see WICKED the next day! Oh my goodness it was awesome! Thanks mom-in-law for the ticket, I had a great time. And once again I forgot to take any pictures of me and Daryn, but I guess we have enough to last us the rest of our lives so its ok.
Loving that I have one ticklish little boy (Calder isn't so much). He's got a little bit of a cold so his giggle is a little raspy but you get the idea. It is adorable.

Baby Update
The twins are now 4 months and 5 days old. Calder weighs 12 lbs 5 oz, and Everest weighs a whopping 14 lbs 9 oz! Yes, I admit that sometimes we let him finish Calder's bottles. They are both 26 1/4 in long. Healthy boys :) I'm in Twin Falls so pictures to come later.

Birthday, Easter, Graduation, and smiles!
That's what happens when you don't blog for so long. A lot happens! Now I need to catch up. So here goes...
Jade was the best egg hunter there. I felt bad for the other kids because we don't even belong to the country club where we were doing the egg hunt. Video below...
And later that day, in her cute dress, she rolled in the mud with her cousins. Thanks Colin for saying "Hey Jade, roll down the hill!"
The Easter bunny spoiled Jade rotten this year, and will never do it again because she was not nearly as excited as the bunny was. She got Tangled, a Rapunzel dress to wear while she watches it, her own new Book of Mormon with her name on it, and a bunch of candy. She did love the candy. And I guess she though the basket was pretty cool.
My mom graduated at the top of her class! She is awesome, and beautiful.
I have really smiley, and BIG boys now. I love them.
