Knock on Wood

I am a FIRM believer that you can jinx yourself.  It happens to me all the time.  So when I say that there is someone coming to look at our house today, I hope I don't ruin our chances.  Our house isn't on the market, but I mentioned to a friend/realtor that I'd really like to move somewhere where it doesn't take me 30 minutes to get anywhere.  A few days later she told a friend of hers about our house and he said it sounds perfect!  So he's going to look at it today.  I'll let you know how that goes...

Also, the boys decided that for my birthday they wanted to wake me up every hour with a big Happy Birthday cry.  So last night we were up at 11, 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8.  Ok so not exactly EVERY hour.  But aren't they sweet ? Happy bday to me.

Pre-Easter trip

First time in their stroller, finally

Don't be deceived by the green and the lack of snow on the ground.  It was surprisingly cold during our trip to Provo, where we can usually count on it to be at least non-coat wearing weather.  Especially in April.

We stayed with my grandparents, who hadn't met the boys or my niece yet.  So we got to spend a few days with them and my sister and her husband.  It was perfect.  I'll take the cold weather.

The bunny is something we made with my grandma when we were young and I wanted to started the tradition with my family.  It's super easy so let me know if you want the recipe.

3 months

You'd never guess our boys were premies.  They are getting so big.  Everest is still bigger but Calder is catching up, and to be honest I don't know for sure that they're not identical, like I've been saying.  They're both smiling a lot now, and sometimes even "giggling", or trying to anyway.  Still no luck with sleeping.

On a side note, this is the conversation I just had with Jade while talking about the scriptures...
Me: {telling the story of Nephi and his family}
Jade: And then he died? (she says things like that a lot, about death)
Me: Well Jade, everyone dies. Do you know why? Because we want to go back to Heaven to live with Heavenly Father and with our family.
Jade: (thinking about this) Well I just want to go to Disneyland

And this is the conversation I had with her yesterday in the car...
Me: {leaving a message for my sister that I hope her daughter will feel better soon}
Jade: Is Rachel sick?
Me: She just has a little cold
Jade: Well I'm a doctor
Me: Oh yeah? Where did you go to doctor school
Jade: Grandma's school (Grandma McKee is a 2nd grade teacher...)

I love the world that Jade lives in.  I wish I lived there too sometimes.
