sytycd auditions

So I went, I learned a LOT about myself, and I came home. It was a loooong day (13 hours to be exact) but I'm glad I did it. I'll have fun memories of it and it will be really cool to watch the season now that I got to meet some of the dancers.

My college friend Traci and my new friend Lindsey that I spent 13 wonderful hours with!

This is what happens when you're stuck right outside of PF Changs for 5 hours (how can you pass it up?)

Caitlin and Randi from this season

Look passed the girl in black and through the crowd and you can see a {not so tall} Cat Deeley

Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center-this is the stage we auditioned on, in front of the shows producer Simon Fuller, Pasha and Anya from a few seasons ago, Randi and Caitlin, and about 10 other random executives...talk about intimidating!

This was right after we sat down in our seats to begin the audition process. 8 hours later we were called up on to the stage...our smiles weren't quite so big.

Things I learned...
~This was way too stressful! I think I'm better off watching from home
~Its a very selfish competition and doesn't go along with my philosophy of dance
~I still love and want to dance more than ever, just not for people who only want to keep me around if I have "star quality"
~There's a reason I never dance in booty shorts
~I love my family soooo much! (I already knew that, but they really are incredible)

A.I Live

My mother in law and I went to the American Idol tour in Salt Lake last night and had soo much fun! We are also crazy because we left and drove 5 hours down, saw the concert, and left SLC at 11pm to drive 5 hours home. But We're home, and we loved the concert!

Ohh Adam Lambert...there is nothing better than listening to you sing David Bowie with your chest hanging out...

Intermission ice cream cones. We got through the concession line quick because all 3000 women were standing in line for the BATHROOM instead.

Loved Kris Allen on the show...wasn't as impressed live. BUT the fans sure were. My ears are still hurting from the screaming! After the show was over, everyone sounded like they were speaking with helium voices.

Top 10 all together singing my favorite song, "Don't Stop Believing"
Click here to watch the "Glee" version, its awesome!

This video is of Scott McIntyre, who actually was one of my least favorites during the season, but he was my FAVorite during the concert. He was so entertaining, and incredible! Maybe he's better live. Don't count on this video to give the full effect of how great he was.

Back it up

Since everyone's 4th of July posts have already come and gone, I feel really behind. But it hasn't even been a week! How is everyone so much more on top of things than me?? Anyway better "late" than never :)

Here are pictures from:
-4th of July in Twin Falls with Tyler's famiy
-Thursday at the Rexburg splash park with Jace's family

Here's Jade eating her prize from winning "youngest competitor" in the potato sack race!

Pre-slip n' slide

Post-slip n' slide (not a happy girl)

Fireworks at Tyler's house

On the way to Rexburg watching movies...so spoiled

With cousins Andreanna and Jaron

With cousin Dallin on the carousel

So she was loving the carousel, until the moment she saw Grandma, and as she kept circling around Grandma disappeared, and then the fun was over.

So funny! {If you have lots of time on your hands}

Last year when Twilight came out, my sister in law sent me this spoof that was hilarious! Well, I found out that the people who created it actually have a website where they do lots of movie spoofs. They are so funny! Go watch them here if you have some free time :)
