I swear I won't become a crazy cat lady...

Well, since I'm sure you all have been wondering what happened to the lost cat that was living in Hiba's office, I will fill you in. He now resides in our apartment. And he is SO big. I really wish you could see his size in this pic. No one understands till they see him. So far he has been a very good cat. He likes to sleep by the heater or in his bed, and wants to be fed all the time. Come over and meet him! (Unless you are a boy. For some reason boys scare the living daylights out of him, & he wil hide under my bed)

Dumped.

So as some of you probably know, and some of you don't one of my friends of 10 plus years decided to "dump" me. She sent me a myspace message saying she no longer wanted to be friends, then deleted me from her myspace. She did not state a specifc reason of what I did, The only reason she gave was that I have done things in the past two years that hurt her and she felt we were not "compatable" to be friends anymore. Clearly, I wasn't quite sure what to do with this information. Well I have felt quite a few things over the past two days, but mostly I've felt a sad, angry & confused. But I've finally came to a conclusion. And that conclusion is: fuck it. Whatever. If someone does not want to be my friend, then I guess I don't need them. I'm not going to spend my time tring to convince someone to like me. My life is filled with wonderful, caring, amazing people. And I think the best thing to do is focus on that. I am incredibly greatful for all the beautiful people I have come to know in my lifetime. There are far to many to mention by name, but they know who they are. As for this moment, I have to go. I've got two beautiful little girls here who think it is very important that I help them build homes for their pet rocks, and I have been instructed to be done with this. I'm out.

Ok, so one thing I neglected to mention in my last post, is that speedskaters are pretty dreamy.(I know you were not expecting me to get to that right...) Well this post is not about that. It is about the beautiful French speedskater, I developed a brief, but lovely affair with this past weekend. I first noticed him as he was skating around warming up Saturady. Wow. Amour. He was just lovely. Well after about 3 times around the track (him not me) he noticed me and smiled back. Sucess! From that point on, Everytime he passed us I would get a smile.( I would then of course giggle.) Once he even turned back over his shoulder to get a look. He was skating very well, untill our love affair commenced, then he lost and didn't qualify to move on! This prompted Jess to start calling me Jessica Simpson. Then, as we were leaving for the day we exchanged Hellos! Fast forward to my second day at the oval. My love did not skate. It wasn't untill Hiba & I were leaving to get lunch after the morning races that I noticed my new boyfriend sitting in the next section over! As we walked past he was talking to his host family and he stopped to say hello. (He is just so sweet!) Then came the finals wher my love was sitting just across the way making it very each to glance over at him. Well then the glaceing became stares. And let me tell you I wasn't the only one staring. But I guess that is what you do when you are in love.
Sadly the competion had to eventully end, and it came time to say goodbye to my new boyfriend.

Our converstaion went a little something like this
ME: Hi. My name is Heidi
SEXY FRENCHMAN: He-de?
ME: HI- D
SEXY FRENCHMAN: He-de?
ME: Um anyway, I just wanted to tell you that I think you are the most beautiful man I have ever seen in my entire life.
SF: Me? No.
ME: YES
SF: No... You take take drugs no?
MF. No, seriously.
SF: (Blushing adorably)Well thank You.
ME: No, Thank you. And good luck with everything.

I would also like to pint out, that I went to shake his hand at the beginning of this conversation so we were holding hands this whole time.

Ok, so I don't so much love him anymore, but because of him I realized what a joy speed skating can be, and so this weekend me & some of my girls headed out to the Olympic Oval in Kearns for "The Samsung World Cup".
IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!
I kid you not. I spent half of Saturday there & then all of Sunday there.
The skaters were awesome, the crashes frightning & most of the fans crazy.
It honsetly shocks me how fast these skaters go.
The second day, for the finals, Hiba & I sat at the coner where everyone crashed, so chucks of ice kept hitting us in the face. When they replayed on the the falls on the giant TV you could see us freaking out in the background.
The fans however are nuts. There is a group of middle age woman that are completely obsessed with Apolo. No joke. They were all wearing sweatshirts that said:
Un(Apolo)getic
5 Olympic medals & counting.

Know, I realize me calling sports fans crazy may seem a bit like the pot calling the kettle black, But I would never, Never, NEVER show up to a REAL game wearing a hand made shirt sporting any sort of catchy saying. And after he won, they all ran over and told his agent to give him a big hug for winning. The lady behind us even had a sign that said: "Apolo, Lord of Rink" Wow. All I can say to that is wow.

And then there were two.... still.

So as you all know Super Tuesday was yesterday. And we democrats still don't know who our canidate is going to be. You know I would take Hillary over any of the idiot Republican candidates, (Come on Mitt Romney really? People actually wasted a vote on this guy?) The thing I still don't understand is why people, like say my mother, who is for gay rights, and is a fairly liberal person, turns around and votes for Mitt Romney? WTF.

Candy

Ok, so last night after Yoga I settled in to sit down & watch a movie I rented a few days ago. Well the movie of choice was a Heath Ledger movie. What was I thinking you ask? Beats me. I felt nervous & uncomfortable the whole time. And what made it worse was that it was a movie about drug addicts. Akward. The thing was after I got past my problem of not being able to understand anything Heath Ledger says & I got over the weirdness of teh whole situation, I came to the conclusion that this was a really good film. So, you should watch it.
