Life is always changing!

I have been horrible at blogging due to the fact life has been so insane but hopefully this time I will do better since we are all settled in our house and life is slowing down!
For the last couple weeks we have had a house guest! One of my friends from South Carolina came up to visit and see the Central Illinois area! She was not expecting this weather! When she left SC, the weather was sunny and 80-90 degrees. Well, the day before she got here it was around 85 then when she got here it was 45 degrees! BRR! She got to see Illinois and all it's glory when it comes to weather! The weather men never being right, the weather changing every day and you never knowing what to expect or how to dress!! We went to the zoo, hung out with family, and just did random things! This weekend we will be going to Chicago and seeing the shed aquarium, sears tower, naive pier, and then of course eating amazing food :)
Next week, I am having my nieces and nephew over for a sleep over! We are planning to have a slip n slide and a huge water balloon fight! I am sure they will have a great time and I will be wore out as usual :)
Then, Andy and I are going to Florida together just to have some husband and wife time! We realized that we haven't had time to ourselves since we moved back! We are seem to go out almost every night whether it be with family or friends! In SC, we were always just relaxing together every night, just the two of us and once in awhile we would go out with friends or hang out with our neighbors! But, we had a ton of time to our selfs, to just be a couple. We haven't had that since we moved back and we are starting to really miss it! I will definitely post pictures of our time down there! I am REALLY looking forward to it!
Then, when we return, I am a girls camp councilor for a few nights with JR high girls! That should be quite the experience! Our cabin theme is "Elves and the shoe maker" If anyone has any creative ideas of how to decorate for that feel free to let me know!

As for Andy and I, he is working hard as always. His job has been crazy and stressful lately. I just got a new job at OSF (our hospital) as a student nurse technician. I will be on the cardiac floor. So between work and hanging out with people, we have been pretty boring :) This has been more of an informative post and I have to get more creative since now ya'll are updated :)

Long time

It has been such a long time since i have posted. Not sure how many people read this one! Its much less popular than our old blog :) So much has changed! Andy and I are waiting for word from a couple jobs in peoria so we can move back! We will probably be there by christmas! Between that and all our trips, we have just been soo busy! We went to Hilton head island with andys family. Then we went to lancaster, PN and washington dc AND phili! it was a great trip! we saw aunt kathy and had a blast! Hopefully I can post a few favorite pics later! We had a great time learning all the history of those towns, along with visiting Kathys amish family! Hope to update more soon :) Sorry bout all the punctuation and no capitalization :)

Update!

Hey everyone!
Just thought I would put a quick update! Everything here has been great! Our sweet Lucy is growing fast! She's up to 2.5 lbs! :) She has turning into quite the whiner! She is a little girl for sure! She hasn't had hardly any accidents which is great for only 9 weeks!
We have been working a little outside! We got the front garden done! Now, our to do list has actually grown! (thank andy for that!!) We need to: Mulch, finish the guard rail, get vinyl flooring for the house, and tile for the bathrooms! Yes, we are doing flooring everywhere! In the meantime, we will also paint the garage and laundry room! It never ends :)

Another new thing is I got a Job! I am going to be working with kids with special needs starting on monday! I am a caregiver and I help them with various things such as basic care along with working with their therapists to help them with certain careplans and such! I am very excited!

That's all thats new for now! Hope everyone is doing great!!

Deck & garage

We are happy to announce that we have gotten most of our deck stained! Today was a beautiful, sunny, 75 degree day! Andy took a day off work to be with his beloved wife and we decided to stain our deck! We did 2 coats on everything. We plan to finish it saturday. We have to do the outside of the rails and the wood part on the outside of screened in porch. All in all it might take us another 2-3 hours to finish. Not too bad!
Saturday was also a gorgeous day and we wanted to get some more done so we put our grass seed down and finished some things around the outside. Then, we started taking everything out of the garage and ended up cleaning and reorganizing the whole garage (which was a mess with all of the constructing and red dirt.) It looks great in there now! We are hoping to paint the inside of the garage in a few weeks with some paint we have left.
Our list is dwindling down! Now we have to finish the deck (saturday), finish planting some flowers in the front (next couple weeks), mulch (hopefully this weekend), and put the guard rail up in the back (next couple weeks). Then, paint the garage (whenever we feel like it!)

The dogs are doing great and having fun! If Lucy has an accident or is chewing on something, Frodo tells on her! He comes up and lays down like he did something wrong and we look down and sure enough Lucy is getting into trouble! It's like he knows she's not doing what she is supposed to but he doesn't know what to do. Then, when she gets in trouble, Frodo pouts! :) They are sooo funny together!

We got our new puppy Lucy last night! She is a doll! She is 6 weeks old and 2 lbs. She is slightly bigger than Frodo was when we got him. She is already paper trained, just like Frodo was when we brought him home! So, hopefully, training her will be just as easy! She did not make a peep last night! Frodo and her were playing together so well! At first he got really really jealous but he has gotten so much better! When she gets a little bigger they are going to have a blast!
