Little mistake

Ava: Mom, there was a little boy I saw with the name of JOEY!! Can you believe a boy being named Joey??? That is sooo funny!

Mom: Well, actually Joey usually is a boy name, not a girl name.

Ava: ??  Then WHY did grandma name you Joi?

Mom: I don't know...

Ava: You MUST have looked just like a little boy when you were born and she made the mistake!!

broccoli

AVA: Mom! I ate broccoli at our school party today! I dipped it in this white stuff called ranch dip they had and it tasted just like chips!

Mom: You ate broccoli? Great! You were dipping it in ranch dressing. Do you know how many times dad and I have tried to get you to dip broccoli or anything in ranch? :)

Ava: This was NOT ranch, it was DIP!

Dad: Ava, it was ranch dip. It's pretty much the same thing as dressing.

Ava: NO! You guys are wrong!

Ava: 2 minutes later (with an eye roll) Mom! I just can't BELIEVE that you haven't known that I've loved broccoli ALL my life!!!

Aubri: I NEED MORE KETCHUP!

Mom: Ok. How do you ask me?

Aubri: Nicely.

Mom: And what does that sound like?

Aubri: hmmm...I think I should say a magic word!?

Dallin at 6 months...kind of

In the past, mom had been pretty diligent about getting our "milestone" photos taken of us to document our precious early years. In fact I'm looking at my 2 year old photo and Aubri's sweet little 3 month pictures on our wall right now.

Mom started out on a good note with Dallin, getting his newborn pictures taken by a talented friend. Remember how tiny he was?

I was even impressed with mom when she managed to get all three of us in the studio so early for a sibling shot, which nicely recorded Dallin at 1 month.

Then 3 months came and went with nothing to show for it, and mom assured me that she'd get on the ball for a great 6 month picture. And she did...just in time for him to turn 8 months!!!

It's ok, I'll just hide the 100's of picture folders mom has from my early childhood documenting my every move. He'll never have to know.

I thought I'd try and make it up to him by putting some of his cute new pictures (taken by the same talented friend) to music. Enjoy!
Oh, and feel free to leave comments so he'll know he was loved too! :)
