Newport Day

What do you do with a jet-lagged person? Make them go on day trip of course. We went to Newport, RI on Saturday for the day and had a lovely time. Stuart was a good sport even though he's still getting back to Boston time. We ate lobstah rolls, went to the beach and did some fun shopping. No, we didn't visit the mansions due to a 3 year old, but still enjoyed Newport.

I'd probably buy this if I could - I'm that crazy about nautical items

Just your average home by the ocean

Just getting sand everywhere

Got a cool tote bag like this - made from recycled sails.

Charlotte is always ready for ice cream
Stuart's find and gift to me. Can't tell you how much I love this!

Summer Fun

I decided to purge pictures from my phone and give a summer update.

While Stuart was in Japan for 2 weeks, Charlotte and I had lots of fun with friends and family, but we are glad to have him home now. We went to the Vineyard, Walden Pond, Connecticut to visit my BF Bianca, the zoo, park, many beaches, farmer's markets, and avoided the 4th of July storm by staying inside and watching the fireworks at home.

It's been a nice summer so far and we are looking forward to going to the island for a few weeks with family.

Inside of MIT Boathouse, where I spend a lot of time in the mornings and evenings.

See you in 3

On June 22 Charlotte and I drove my parents to the airport and said see you in 3 years. They are in Ogden, UT now settling in their new way of life as mission president's for the LDS church. It was an emotional day and I was the last one to see them off. It's weird to think they don't live close by anymore, but we do plan to visit them this December and other times while they're gone. They just won't be on the East Coast for 3 years.
