Who needs some toys??

Merry Christmas!! Well-Ryder ended up with a good portion of Toys-R-Us from Santa. He enjoyed tearing into the paper and boxes. We got to spend lots of time with lots of family! It has been a great Christmas and of course we LOVE having Aaron home on break!!

Santa is Coming!!

Sorry it has been SO long! Since the last post...Thanksgiving was great...Aaron turned 30!! Ryder says dada ALL day long...he is not crawling but seems more interested in standing and holding on to things :) He is eating like a champ-loves fruits and veggies! Notice in the pics-he did get his 2 front teeth right before Christmas!! Here is one of our "Christmas card pics" in the woods behind our new house!

Vampire teeth!

I can hardly believe Halloween is over and we are looking towards Thanksgiving and Christmas! Time flies! Well Ryder is officialy 6 months old-he weighed in at 16 lb 3 oz and 26 1/2 in long. Long and skinny-doctor says he is all muscle! He is almost sitting up by himself, scooting all over the place, has 4 teeth (2 bottom and 2 fangs up top). He loves bananas and I think sweet potatoes; does not seem to be into pears-who knows! Ryder loves water bottles, other peoples feet, his saucer, drool, pulling hair and his dogs! He was the cutest monkey for Halloween-though the doctor said we should have put a cape on him to be a vampire with those teeth! We carved our pumpkin to match his teeth-a slideshow will be added shortly with new pics! Aaron is in B-Ball season now-we are reminded how precious time is with each other :)

A Real House

Well we are back to a real house with rooms, walls and a ceiling! We loved the barn living-don't get me wrong! We are so excited to be in the house-we are almost out of boxes! The dogs are loving their HUGE backyard! Ryder loves the porch to play and watch the dogs (new best friends). I love a dishwasher!! Aaron loves a big screen TV! Aaron will start basketball soon and life will be super busy again. I am about to start teaching an online Biology class and some other little opportunities for $$ here and there. Ryder will get to take his 1st trip to SFA in a couple weeks for homecoming. Well Ryder is 5 1/2 months, has 2 teeth, rolls all over the place, starting to take a pacifier, laughs amazingly, talks loudly and is great entertainment! We are all doing very well and are enjoying everyday we are blessed with!

What's new!

We will be in a new house in 3 weeks-we are so excited! Ryder is now 4 months old! He is weighing in at 14lb 8oz and measuring 25 inches. We are enjoying all the new loud laughter and personality he is developing! He took his first trip to Houston over Labor Day weekend for his buddy Cole's 1st birthday and to see 2 girlfriends, Carlee and Clare. Well-he has continued to sleep through the night (most nights)! I am very excited about my decision to stay home with Ryder!

Real World

Well-this time of year we are normally going ninety to nothing getting ready for school and sports. This year we are in a different mode. Aaron has started back and I am staying home with Ryder man. Therefore-we are putting off building a house for now, we are buying a "real" house and renting out the current home. Lots of changes-we are very excited about these opportunities! Ryder is growing so much! Loves to talk loud!! He slept through the night for the first time last night-we hope it was not an accident :) Just in time for daddy to go back to work! Hope you enjoy some new pics of tummy time, reading books and just looking good!!

Smiley Steele!

Ryder is 3 months old and we are feeling every bit of his 14 pounds (est)!! He is awesome-once again these are the doctor's words from his last visit. We are loving the new giggles, big smiles and watching him take in everything around him. He has officially met all of his aunts and uncles now! We just returned from another trip to the farm in Beaumont-where he got to meet his Uncle Trey for the 1st time. We have about 3 1/2 weeks till school starts-please be praying for that transition for all of us!! We have been blessed that Aaron and I are both only coaching 1 sport this year-so that should help a lot!! Ryder is still eating once a night-we are also praying an all-nighter will happen by the start of school! I am posting new pics to the slideshow soon! Also-I am working on learning how to do the video part :)

Summer Fun!

Well-summer has been busy-just in a different way! We have made 3 trips to Beaumont, FCA camp and 1 trip to the lake. Ryder did awesome at camp! Praise and worship at 7 weeks old!! He now weighs 12lb 1oz (75%)and 24in long (90%)!! Doctor's words were "he is awesome!" We agreed :) He is smiling a lot-we are really enjoying that! Still getting up 1-2 times a night-we are praying for that all night sleep soon! We are planning on a few more trips to the lake, trying to develop house plans to start building next year sometime and enjoying every minute with the little man!

The Steeles start summer!

Summer is here and we are pumped! I am still working on learning how to do the slideshow (sorry)! Ryder has already been in the swimming pool 2 times this summer and taken 2 trips to the Blueberry Farm!! He is 6 1/2 weeks old and growing like a weed! Think he is around 10 lbs. He is eating and sleeping great! He will be attending his first FCA camp next week at Texas A&M-we are excited!! I am also posting a picture of our new family ride :) Hope to see many of you this summer!!!

Week 3 with the 3 of us!

Well Ryder is 3 weeks old and we are 3 weeks wiser than we were the day he was born We are all doing great! He is already growing so much. At his 2 week appointment he was weighing in at 7lb 15 1/2 oz and 21 in!! The doctor said he was a stud (Aaron was grinning). We are all still adjusting to the new way of sleeping (Aaron sometimes thinks I did not feed him because he slept through it all)!! He is smiling but not on purpose-we are waiting anxiously for that moment! What an overwhelming, and amazing gift from God!!!Hopefully through the summer he will get to meet many of you!

Ryder is Here!!

We are so excited to share that Ryder Griffin Steele arrived on April 30, 2008 at 8:56 am! He weighed in at 7 pounds 2 oz and 20 1/2 in long!! Beautiful as can be!! Labor was long but good once we got the meds :) We are all home and taking it all in! Can't wait for everyone to meet the little man! Love you all!

We are growing!!!

OK-so blogs are new to me-we will see if I can figure this out! Well as of February 19 we are about 10-11 weeks away from the arrival of Ryder Griffin Steele! We are getting very excited! I am going to try and post some pics of his room and me growing :)
