A Sign of the New Town Street Times

At Starlight Studio Art Gallery & Juice Bar in Town Street, we have recently taken delivery of our new bespoke carved wooden shop sign. This was made by local Shepton craftsman Lee Keohane, pictured here with Brian Outten in an incredibly un-cheesy pose which is quite in keeping with the vegan/non-dairy juices and smoothies made here.

Lee can be commissioned to make bespoke signs especially for your requirements and works to a really high standard. He can be contacted on 07869 624170.

Meanwhile, Brian (pictured here with local advertising guru Lorraine Pratten (who runs the Tourist Information Centre in Shepton), has been creating another sign for the outside of the shop and has just put it up today.

It's definitely not only his crazy printed shirts that are going to get us noticed from now on!

Somerset Landscape Photographer - Isle of Mull

Will Dunscombe has found his vocation in the world of photography. It was a natural progression having run a framing and conservation business for over 20 years with his wife Cathy

Will's talent for capturing 'a mood' in all weathers is inspiring,,,..not an easy subject matter in the world of photography.

These stunning photos of Scotland Isle of Mull
- West Coast are works of art.

HIDDEN TALENT in the TOWN - Will Dunscombe

If you follow Will on Facebook it is obvious he has a passion and talent for photography.
I took particular notice today when he told me about his recent photos of bluebells.

If you have had the pleasure as a child to explore bluebell woods, the memories remain with you
...the pungent aroma, the mass of colour....so magical.

....and to my surprise there are bluebells in the woods at Beacon Hill, just outside of Shepton Mallet.
These gorgeous photos by Will, capture the early stages of flowering this season,
the carpet should become a deep blue within a couple of weeks

Thank you Will for reminding me about the heavenly experience of a bluebell wood
