Time truly does fly and this guy is settling in quite nicely to our family of five!! This month little man is becoming much more active. At 2 1/2 months, he mastered the roll from tummy to back, preferring to play on the mat with toys dangling above. Mommy has to supervise tummy time to make sure Caleb actually stays on his tummy for more than one minute. Right after the three month mark, Caleb rolled over from back to tummy! He likes to bat at his toys and is grabbing and holding onto the butterfly toys on his bouncy seat. Sweet pea is tracking objects and Mommy well and enjoys looking at books with bright pictures before sleepy times.
I'm a little foggy still on exact dates, but somewhere around 2 1/2 mos Caleb started laughing at people. Of course, his big brothers do lots to elicit baby giggles. It's precious to see that he is aware of them and so entertained by them. Of course L and W think it is so awesome to be adored by their baby! They are constantly vying for his attention and performing for him. I'm so thankful that they love him so much.
Near the end of month three, Caleb has found his voice and loves to screech and squeal! He loves making noise. It is a fun, happy sound to hear. He has quite lovely hair, it's so feathery and likes to stick straight up at the top. He's losing a good bit on the sides, makes for an interesting do!
This third month brought more fun travel adventures for Caleb. We went to Chattanooga for the first time for Kevin and Roxie's baby shower. It was Caleb's first time meeting his great granny, great grandmother Smith and great aunts and uncles. He was a great traveller and so easy going, thank you buddy!
Now that the weather is cooling (a bit), we're getting outside with Caleb more. We took him on his first hike on the trail. Our friend Paul was visiting, so we loaded C up in the baby Bjorn and set out for a family hike. Buddy did well and enjoyed facing out to see all the sights around him. It was a beautiful day.
Meeting "uncle" Paul for the first time
Hanging with the boys!
We're wondering if he is going to cut teeth early, because his hands are constantly in his mouth. Toys now go straight to the mouth. No signs of teeth yet, but he definitely loves to explore with his mouth.
One things for sure, Caleb is quite adored by all of us and we are so in love with this little guy!
