The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

Christmas Fun (cont.)

There are way too many pics from the holidays to squeeze into one post (or four!) But here's a few more of my guys and family enjoying the day... Logan and Will trying out their new goal and soccer balls- working on their technique!
 Logan
 Will
My guys LOVE this dog- and Herschel doesn't seem to mind them too much either!  He's really a small horse, but a gentle giant for sure! They include him in prayer time as well.

We love our Grammie and Pops! Thanks for hosting us this year and for all the delicious food and restful time together!
 Little man Logan:
 Handsome guy Will:
Merry Christmas from our family to yours! Thankful to be celebrating the Reason for the Season and the blessing of a new family member coming in the next year!

Christmas Morning

Merry Christmas!  Heading down the stairs on Christmas morning, an excited Will on the left and a still sleepy headed Logan on the right.  It didn't take long for Logan to get in on the Christmas excitement.  Four is such a fun age to experience the joys and wonder of the season!
Checking out their new rescue station that Santa brought them:

Helping Pops open his new calendar for the year ahead:
Logan lost in concentration with his new Tag reader and book that G & P gave him:
Will showing off his new work gloves from Uncle Tyler:

Helping Daddy open the baseball glove we picked out for him:
Logan excited about his new toys- Buzz Lightyear and a rescue helicopter!
Will working with a chopper on the rescue station landing pad:
Brotherly love- posing with their soccer balls from Mommy and Daddy
Ready to get outside and try out their new goal and soccer balls, let the fun continue!

Christmas Eve

Next, we packed up and headed to Atlanta to spend the rest of Christmas with Grammie and Pops. With baby on board, we decided it might be easier to spend Christmas there, rather than host at our home.  It was a nice change of pace, and the boys didn't mind at all, as long as Santa knew where to find them!  The boys immediately got to work on Pops' train, mezmerized by the toy that my dad has had since he was a child.  There were a few train derailings, but they loved making tunnels out of packages for the little engine to go through.
Will snuggling with Daddy- ready for a little rest and holiday relaxation.
Making Christmas sugar cookies, a favorite tradition!

A little flour went astray... Pops and Will
 Grammie and Logan
Look at our creations! Ready for the oven, yummy!
Almost bedtime... don't forget the reindeer food!  Snacks for Santa's reindeer, just in case they get hungry during their busy night.
A fun Christmas Eve was had by all. Logan and Will headed to bed, but sleep would not come quickly for these excited little boys!  They kept reminding each other that Santa would not come if they were still awake.  Oh the anticipation of it all!

Christmas~ Part One

We were blessed to spend a special night with Nana and Pappy celebrating Christmas together.  Nana made Daddy's favorite dinner- beef burgundy, yum!  The boys helped set out her nativity scene and were quite excited to "get down to business." The present opening business, that is!

Sharing storytime with Nana before dinner
Present time!!
Nana and Pappy sent the boys on a scavenger hunt around their house with clues to lead them to their big present! They loved looking in the laundry room, under the dining room table- and finally, finding the presents under their bed.
Big boy scooters!
And what fun night would be complete without an ice cream sundae? Yum- dig in!

Visit With Santa

Logan and Will couldn't wait to go see Santa! This year, everything was magical and they really interacted with Santa. When asked what they wanted for Christmas, Logan said Buzz Lightyear and Will said Rex.

They loved checking out Santa's workshop, train set and reindeer all around.

Just prior to their face time with Santa, Logan asked to write a letter to Santa.  So, while Will napped, we worked on his first letter to Santa.  Logan dictated and I wrote: "Dear Santa, I hope you bring presents.  I'll be good. Do you have Buzz Lightyear?  Merry Christmas  Love, Logan  p.s. This year we will be at Grammie and Pops' house"  When Will woke up, Logan was all about getting his brother in on the action.  Sweet Will wrote: "Dear Santa, Happy Christmas! I hope you have a good night.  Love, Will"  Love my two very different little boys!

WHAT??!?

Flashback:  So, Mommy and Daddy have been keeping a secret...  The time had finally come to share this news with the littlest members of our family!  Once we reached the end of my first trimester, we were ready to tell.  Two "early" Christmas packages awaited Logan and Will on that Saturday morning.
They were quite happy to go ahead and get into their surprises...

You can see the look of disappointment on Will's face when he opened a T-shirt and not a toy! Ha!
But once we told them what was on their shirts, they were super excited.
Mommy and Daddy: Do you know what it means to be a big brother?
Will and Logan: Yes
M and D:  God has given us a baby, it's in Mommy's tummy- you are going to be big brothers!!
L and W:  WHAT???!!!
M and D: What will you name the baby?
W: Thomas
M and D: And what if it is a girl?
L: Percy

So, we're probably done asking for their input on names.

And quickly they were moving on and fascinated with the bubble wrap that was in the box!
As the days have gone on, our news is beginning to sink in.  They are very excited about being big brothers and are taking this new responsibility very seriously.  They keep saying how big they are and how much they've grown now that they are going to be brothers.  It is so sweet to hear them talk about how they are going to help mommy with the baby- help feed him/her, hold him/her and share their toys. I am looking forward to having two big helpers.  So thankful and so blessed!
