The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

Happy 3 Months!

My nephew Graham is now 3 months old- it's hard to believe! This little cutie who had such a dramatic entrance into the world is doing so well and growing bigger every day! It's amazing how tiny and fragile he seemed at birth and now he is just a strong, perfect little baby. We're so thrilled at his progress and I'm already the proud Aunt T! It's been a couple of weeks since we've seen him and already Andy and I can't wait to see him again soon.

Some of you know the youngest Morrow- Amie- who is now a Ledford. She is becoming quite the photographer and is currently finishing her masters in photography in Atlanta. Amie shoots weddings in addition to being a full time student and will soon begin teaching adult photography classes this fall. We are all so proud of what she has accomplished! She is often called upon to photograph my niece and nephews as well as take the Christmas photo of the Morrow clan. She recently took some cute photos of Graham that I wanted to share with you all.... They can be found at: http://amiejledford.viewbook.com/graham

We hope to have photos of Baby Lilly soon... Jenn is due Friday!! She is doing well, but counting down the days until #3 arrives. We cannot wait to meet the newest addition.

Better Late Than Never...

So, some of you may be wondering if I've fallen off the blog bandwagon lately. I've been sporadic, at best, at chronicling the goings-on of July. We've been very busy it seems, so I'm going to try to get caught up. I also tend to use Andrew's laptop to blog at home, so I have to "share" it with him. I mean- it is his work computer- but I digress.
A couple of weeks ago, on July 9th, the Birmingham Morrow clan got together to celebrate the life and birthday of Janet- affectionately known as Mom M. We had a blast grilling out at Mike and Shelli's house and celebrating with family. We have much to be excited about these days- not only with the birthday, but also the continual growth of the family. Jenn and Jamie's third installment- Baby Lilly should be arriving any day now... we can't wait to meet her! Liam and Emma enjoyed posing with Nanna for her birthday photo.

This past weekend we attempted a little home improvement... but not too much! We still had a pretty relaxing weekend at home. Andrew was sweet to finish the last details on the front door he had made, and even installed new lighting for our porch. I was thrilled to have two more things marked off "The List." So... come and knock on our door- we'll be waiting for you! Photo coming soon...

Sunday night we enjoyed having dinner with some friends from church. We gathered at the Drake's for a wonderful meal, fellowship time and some games. We had a blast... the guys hung out in the backyard playing bocce ball while the girls chatted and caught up (with the A/C and no mosquitoes.) We also had a lot to celebrate that night... our friends Jeremy and Michelle are expecting their first child and we couldn't be more thrilled for them. God is good!

We also loved getting to spend time with Isaiah- Heidi and Drake's sweet little boy. He is adored by us all!

So that's all for now... hopefully you'll hear from me before the end of August!

Fourth of July Roadtrip!

Andrew and I headed off to Atlanta for a little get away and independence day celebration. We kicked off our road trip in true Morrow/Clampett fashion as you can see from the photo... we were taking my brother's dog house back to Buford for Herschel. The trip went smoothly although we only topped out at about 65 mph the whole way! But nonetheless, we enjoyed our time to catch up on each other's busy week and talked our way home. We spent the night with mom and dad, then headed up to Lake Arrowhead on Friday morning.

We met the Morrows up at their lake house for a weekend of relaxation and enjoying the great outdoors. Friday we decided it would be fun for the guys to kayak across the lake and drag Janet and I on the floats. Again, we're getting pretty good at looking Clampett-y if you know what I mean! We took turns kayaking, swimming and floating across the lake. Well, I didn't join in the swimming part, but it looked like great fun! We enjoyed the traditional 4th of July fare- burgers and baked beans, yummy. Saturday, we hung out at the pool while Tom and Andrew biked, swam and ran. They made their own mini triathalon. Janet and I were happy to forgo this activity and save their spots by the pool. We rounded out a perfect day by eating dinner at our Atlanta favorite- Provino's! Let's just say we ate way too much and are still feeling it.

We had a wonderful time catching up with our family, enjoying the beautiful weather and of course, eating. Andrew was able to convince his mom to make his favorite- cookies! He even pitched in and helped. We're headed back to Birmingham today, and back to the real world tomorrow. Such a fun weekend to celebrate our independence!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

I travelled to Atlanta Thursday after work to have a girls' weekend with my mom, her sister Jo and my cousin Julie. We had been planning this time together since the spring, as a way to celebrate mom's birthday. The plans included shopping at the Mart on Friday and then attending the "Deeper Still" conference at the Phillips arena. We were all excited to be together- my aunt and cousin live in Jacksonville, FL- so I don't get to see them too often.

We started early on Friday to make sure we had plenty of time to scope some deals at the Mart. We searched through bags and jewelry galore and all came home with a few good buys. My aunt showed great restraint by only coming home with one purse! Our favorite purchases include a big giraffe print with pink travel bag and mom's cute brown and red giraffe handbag.

After our feet and wallets could no longer continue- we checked into our hotel and then headed off to the arena. The conference started with awesome praise and worship, including Mandisa- former American Idol contestant. Priscilla Shirer spoke that night and did an excellent job. It was a great reminder of God's love for us even when we're going through difficult times- that He will see us through.

Saturday was a full day with talks by Kay Arthur and Beth Moore. It was amazing to see so many ladies (18,000) come together to worship and grow "deeper still" in their personal walk with the Lord. We had a wonderful time! Saturday night we hung out back at mom and dad's and decided to include Tyler, dad and Herschel in on our girls' weekend. Sunday I headed back home to my hubby who was home all alone. He managed ok- living like a bachelor for two days! All in all, it was a great time to be together with family and a reminder of how faithful God has been and will continue to be!
