Our Saratoga Springs UT home part 2

The master bedroom looks like this.  The color is aqua (I think)  I not sure how to decorate the bedroom, would like to get a headboard and some side tables.

This is the dresser and mirror we bought.  They were bought separately at different stores.  Alan had to do a little repair work on the dresser before we could use it.  He did a terrific job.  There is not a door between the master bedroom and master bath.

Our master bath, I am standing in the closet taking the picture.  The vanity is a little taller than older vanities.

This is the shower and garden tub in our master bath.  I tried to take a bubble bath, it was lots of fun until I tried to climb out of the tub.  I thought Alan was going to have to get a crane to get me out of the tub.  It is a little frightening when you get out of the shower, because of the very big mirror on the wall over the sink.

Our master closet

This is the guest room.  It has a queen size bed, which does not leave you a lot of room for walking.

The guest bathroom has a very large linen closet that is great.

We have not decided what to do with the third bedroom, right now it is a semi-sitting room and junk collector.

We have a lot of projects to work on, but I love being it my Utah home.  We have grass in the front and back yards, which helps with the dirt.  This picture was taken before all the sod was put down.

I do not have pictures of the basement.  The Everitt boys and their friends think it makes a great play area to run and shoot nerf guns at each other.

Can not wait for my next adventure in my Utah home.  Come visit us.

Our Saratoga Springs Home part 1

In April 2010 Alan and I bought a home in Saratoga Springs, Utah.  We are attempting to live in our Glendale, CA home and our Saratoga Springs, UT home.  We are decorating our Saratoga Springs home gradually when we visit.  Here are some pictures of our Utah home.  Buying furniture with Alan has been interesting.  He only shops when he is in the mood.  When he says he likes something that is what we buy.  Sometimes I wear him down and he agrees to something because he is sick of shopping.
As you enter the front door to you right is our living room aka home teaching room (that is what they call it in UT.) and on the left if the office. You can also see the family from the front door.

This is the living room.  We are docorating in rust red and different shades of brown.  This pictures on the wall are only temperary.

The office has a desk and bookcase.  We have bought a wood file cabinet that matches the style and of the bookcase that will travel to UT on our next visit.

This is our family room, kitchen and dining area combination.  I did not think I would ever own a red couch.

This is our dining room table.  Alan loves to work on his computer on the dining room table because he can see the back yard and front yard at the same time.

The dining room has a picture of poppies on the wall.  I had a hard time getting a good picture.  This is my favorite are work in the house – there are only 3 pictures.

This is the kitchen area.  This picture was taken before the red couch was bought.  The brown leather chair you see is from our California home.

The laundry room is just off the kitchen area.  I would like to add cabinets to the laundry.  It is really nice to have a laundry room that I do not need to go up and down stairs.  The washer is a little noisy, it sounds like a jet talking off, but it does a really nice job getting the clothes clean and it was the right price.
