Time for more research...

Andrew was able to keep things clear on his calendar today so he could spend the day doing research. He has a really big project he has been working on and was able to get a lot of stuff done. Dad and I went for a walk and stopped by the grocery store. We saw Mom briefly at lunchtime, but she only had a short break before her next call. Andrew and I worked all afternoon on research and schoolwork. We all helped with dinner this evening and we are enjoying the time at home.

Ready to scan...

Dad dropped me at Kennesaw State this morning. I had one class and then wanted to meet with a professor and have lunch. Mom stayed busy with her work while Daniel helped Dad with chores, played on his computer and did schoolwork. After lunch, Dad picked me up so we could go to Acworth for the historical group’s picture day event. We were not very busy, but several people did bring in nice photos to scan. This evening, we had a great dinner, watched TV and then we all got back on our computers.

Out for a hike...

After we had breakfast, Dad dropped Andrew at Kennesaw State so he could work at the Archives and attend his one Wednesday class. Later, Dad and I went hiking and since Mom was really busy with her work, we had lunch while we were out. During the afternoon, I helped Dad with part of a project then worked on my schoolwork the rest of the afternoon. This evening Mom and I went out for dinner while Dad picked up Andrew from Kennesaw state so they could go to a meeting.

After a busy day...

Dad and I left really early this morning so I could get to my Timothy Ministry classes. About the time Dad got back home, Andrew left to go to Kennesaw State. Andrew had just one class, but he met with several professors about some of his projects and had lunch while he was on campus. Late morning Mom was able to take a break, so she and Dad could have lunch together at home. Andrew got back home about the time Dad left to pick me up. Later we all helped fix dinner and then Andrew went to the Cobb County Genealogical Society meeting while the rest of us stayed home.

Ready to eat!

This morning, I was able to get some schoolwork done before heading to Kennesaw State. I had one of my classes, met with a professor, had lunch and attended a lecture. While I was gone, Mom stayed busy all day with her work. Daniel worked on schoolwork and helped Dad with a project. Daniel and Dad also went out for lunch, walked at the Kennesaw State multi-use trail and worked on schoolwork. Late this afternoon I got back home in time for us to have dinner together. Dad and I then went to the city council meeting while Mom and Daniel stayed home.

Let's get started!

Early this morning we all watched our online church service then Dad, Andrew, and I went to Kennesaw Mountain to ride the shuttle bus. It was a really slow morning, but it was still good to be there. We then met Mom for lunch at a place nearby. Dad and I spent the afternoon at home while Mom and Andrew went to see the silent movie Metropolis at the historic theater in Marietta. Several of Andrew’s friends from Kennesaw State and a couple of his professors were there too. The movie was a bit long, so Dad and I went ahead and had dinner at home while Andrew and Mom ate while they were out.

Today ended up being a great day to get some work done. Beth has been really busy and had more to do so we all agreed this morning we would spend most of the day at home. Beth stayed busy with her work, Andrew had schoolwork and projects to work on, Daniel helped me a bit and then did stuff on his computer while I worked on more stuff getting my new computer in order. The boys and I did go for a walk at the Kennesaw State multi-use trail this afternoon and then stopped by the grocery store to get something for dinner. We found a neat dessert of “movie snack” doughnuts that we had this evening. Most were pretty good!

Sharing local history

Dad left really early this morning because he had to go to Woodstock for a doctor's appointment. He was back in time to take me to Kennesaw State where my day was full with classes. Mom was busy all day with meetings and Daniel spent lots of time on his schoolwork. Dad worked with Daniel and then spent time on his research. This evening Dad picked me up and we had a quick dinner before heading to the City Council meeting. I was able to give everyone there a copy of my booklet with all of the local history handouts I shared during last year's meetings.

Ready to get back to work...

We were all up early this morning and watched our online church service. We watched several different things since we had a little more time. After lunch, Dad, Andrew and I went to Kennesaw Mountain to ride the shuttle bus. It was a little cold so we were expecting it to be a slow day but we actually had a good number of riders. Unfortunately, late in the afternoon, we had clouds roll in and we had to stop early. We called Mom on the way home and she was out running errands. Once we all got back home, we had a nice dinner and all spent time getting ready for the week.

Just another walk

Mom is still having a tough time with her bad cough. She was glad we really did not have much scheduled to do this weekend so she could rest. She had a hard time sleeping last night so this morning she slept as much as she could. The rest of us just did computer work and we watched a little TV. During the afternoon, Mom had her weekly Disney and World’s Fair online meeting so Dad, Daniel, and I went to walk at Kennesaw State and we stopped by the grocery store on the way home. This evening, we watched a couple of old TV shows while we had a nice dinner.

Let's see what we can find...

This morning Dad and Andrew went to Acworth to work on changing some display cases for the local historical group. They also had a meeting to discuss some other projects. I stayed home and worked on my schoolwork and Mom was busy with her conference calls. This afternoon we did go out for a walk and when we got home Andrew, and I looked at some old newspapers that Dad had saved in the closet. Andrew and Dad like to research using old newspapers but most of what they do is using digitized versions at several websites online. It was fun to see the real thing!

Enjoying the pretty day...

Today was Mom’s first day of work after the holidays. Unfortunately, she is still not feeling well, and she has a bad cough. She was able to join her conference calls and get stuff done. The rest of us ran a couple of errands and went to walk at the cemetery but just spent most of the day at home. Dad was busy working on his stuff. I have several big projects I am hoping to complete, and Daniel had some homework that is due next week when classes start back so we all stayed busy.

We made it till midnight!

We had fun last night staying up to see the time change. I was up about my usual time this morning. Andrew actually slept a little late and we let Mom and Daniel get up when they were ready. Beth has not been feeling well but she tried to do some work and some craft things but she spent a lot of the day resting. The boys and I did go out for a while to walk and stopped by the cemetery on the way home. We watched a movie then Andrew and I stayed busy doing research and Daniel did stuff on his computer. It was a nice low key way to enjoy the first day of the year!

An assortment for dinner...

After we had breakfast this morning we went for a walk at the multi-use trail at Kennesaw State. We had lunch while we were out then spent the rest of the day at home. Like yesterday, we all worked on our own computers and Mom did some work and craft stuff. This evening we made an assortment of snacks to have for dinner, then we are watching movies till midnight so we can see the time change.

Finishing up...

Mom and I went to the library this morning to look for several books. We then went to the grocery store to get something for lunch. Later, Dad, Daniel, and I went to the cemetery to meet someone who is helping with a cemetery project. When we got back home we had lunch and then finished putting away a few remaining boxes of Christmas decorations. We spent the rest of the day doing stuff on our own projects on our computers while Mom was busy with some work and craft stuff.

Augmented Reality

This morning we were all up at different times so we did not get to watch our online church service before Dad and Daniel had to leave. They went to Ponce City Market that is a big retail and entertainment development to spend time at the Augmented Reality venue. They did two experiences, one about art and the other was space. The headsets they wore had glasses that showed lots of scenes and they navigated around everything. While they were gone, Mom and I went to the bookstore and had lunch. We talked to Dad and Andrew when they were on the way home and they said they had a great time! Later in the afternoon we did watch our church service and enjoyed the rest of the day at home.

Happy 19th Birthday Andrew!

After we were all up this morning, Mom and I made Eggs Benedict for breakfast. We made them a new way and they were delicious! Daniel and I then watched a movie while Mom did some work and Dad worked on his stuff. Later after we had a great lunch of chicken and hash brown casserole, Mom joined her weekly Disney and World’s Fair call. The rest of us stayed busy on our computers. This evening we went to Marietta for dinner and then saw a movie from the 1980s at the restored theatre nearby. It has been a fun birthday!

Not many other people....

This morning we all got up, had breakfast, and enjoyed the time at home. Mom later ran some errands and Dad, Andrew, and I went to walk at the Kennesaw State campus. The campus was pretty deserted but we did see a few people. During the afternoon we worked on putting the Christmas decorations away. We were able to get most of it done and still had time to enjoy the late afternoon and evening at home.

Community Heroes!

Today was nice to spend most of the time at home. We watched TV, did stuff on our computers, and enjoyed the time together. During the afternoon, we went for a walk and later this evening we went to the Hannukah menorah lighting event held in downtown Kennesaw. We saw a number of our friends and even though the event was short it was really nice. We stopped at a burger restaurant for dinner on the way home and were surprised to see a sign that said Dad and Andrew are “Community Heroes” for getting the Citizen of the Year awards.

Heading home...

Since we had gotten things together last night, it did not take too long to get everything packed to head home. We left really early and tried not to stop much so we could get back in time for Andrew to get to his class at Kennesaw State. We made really good time, and actually got back earlier than we expected. We got everything unpacked and then Dad took Andrew to Kennesaw State. Later he went back and picked him up and they went to the city council meeting while Mom and I enjoyed the rest of the day at home!

Ready to eat!!!

This morning, Dad and I went for a walk at the beach so I could take pictures of the sunrise. Mom and Daniel enjoyed their time in the room. The sun was up just briefly they stayed behind the clouds. We all had breakfast together and watched an online church service. We checked the weather, and it was going to stay overcast all day. Mom went to the store while the rest of us stayed in the room. We later went out for lunch. After we got back, we saw that the weather was not going to improve and it actually rained later so we just stayed in and all did our own thing. This evening, we had a nice dinner in the room and got things ready for our trip back tomorrow.

Family breakfast...

After we all had breakfast, Andrew went next door and helped Granmommy with her new computer tablet. She wanted to make sure she had everything set up the way she wanted it.  Later we had an early lunch then Granmommy and Pops had to leave to get back to their house. We hated to see them go but we had a good time while they were here. The rest of us tried to go to the beach again but the red flags were still at the life guard stations. Like yesterday, we spent some time at the pool instead. This evening, we went to Mom’s favorite Mexican restaurant and then watched the Alabama game. It was a close game until the end when we scored a bunch and won 42-16! Roll Tide!

Out at the beach...

This morning, we were up pretty early. We had breakfast at the hotel, then headed for the beach. Once we got to Myrtle, we had time to visit with Granmommy and Pops before we all went out for lunch. During the afternoon we tried to go to the beach. Unfortunately, even though it was clear there were storms in the area that were causing problems in the ocean. The lifeguard stations had red flags to discourage people from getting in the water. We went to the pool instead. This evening, we met up with Granmommy and Pops again, and we had a great dinner at Pops favorite seafood restaurant. Afterwards, Andrew helped Granmommy with a new computer and we visited for a while.

"Scrappy Hour" fun!

This morning, Dad dropped me off at Kennesaw State and then met me again later to help me return the easels from yesterday’s History Club event. While I was gone, Mom stayed busy with some work and Daniel did some schoolwork. Once Dad got home, they all finished packing for our trip. This afternoon, I attended a KSU “Scrappy Hour” event and got to see Scrappy the Mascot and have a root beer treat! I found out later Dad and Daniel did a funny picture of Daniel doing the same thing! After my last class, they all picked me up and we headed for the beach. We had planned to go halfway but ended up driving a little more so we would have less distance to travel tomorrow.

Part of a great program...

Dad helped me get some easels this morning from the Art Department at Kennesaw State then waited so I could get them into the library. I then spent the day at the archives. Mom spent the day doing all her work while Daniel played on his computer in the morning and did schoolwork in the afternoon. Dad spent quite a while at the dentist's office getting a crown replaced. This evening, I attended the History Club meeting. I had arranged for a speaker who was showing some art relevant to the topic. Everything worked out great and everyone seemed to enjoy the program! On the way home Dad and I picked up Daniel's special treat for after dinner!

Today we all had a busy day. Dad and I dropped Andrew at Kennesaw State really early then Dad dropped me off for my Timothy Ministry classes. Mom and Dad both then spent the rest of the day staying busy with their work. This afternoon Dad picked me up then he went back out to get Andrew. This evening, they went to the city council meeting while Mom and I stayed home.

It was really nice to have the Labor Day holiday today.  We talked about going somewhere but ended up spending the time here at home. Mom and Andrew said they got to catch up on some work while I helped Dad with several small projects. Andrew and I worked on some stuff together too. We all watched some TV and just never left the house!

Having fun at Dragon-Con

Mom and Daniel left early this morning to get to Downtown Atlanta. They spent the day at Dragon Con where they got to attend lots of panel discussions with well-known Sci Fi actors, actresses, writers, producers, etc. They got to meet some people from some of our favorite shows! While they were gone, Dad and I spent the morning at home then spent the afternoon on the bus at Kennesaw Mountain. Mom and Daniel were both pretty tired when they got home but they were excited about all they got to do!

This morning, we had breakfast then Mom started with her conference calls. The rest of us stayed busy doing stuff on our own computers. Later Dad, Daniel, and I went to walk at the cemetery. We worked on a couple of projects and then went to lunch at one of our favorite downtown restaurants. During the afternoon we worked on schoolwork and then I read for a while and Daniel played on his computer. Mom was really tired this evening, so we picked up dinner from one of her favorite Mexican places and had it ready when she was done with her work.

After breakfast this morning Dad, Andrew, and I went to walk at the Kennesaw State multi-use trail. We could not stay long since Dad and Andrew had a meeting across town. After they got back we had lunch with Mom. During the afternoon, Dad and Andrew went to a meeting in Acworth and I stayed home and did stuff on my computer.  On their way home they stopped by the grocery store to get stuff for dinner. This evening we all helped with dinner then after we ate we had a special snack for dessert.

Today Daniel and I had lots of work to do at home. I worked on schoolwork and then had lots of time to work on my many research projects. Daniel worked on schoolwork then helped Dad with a couple of projects and then had time on his computer. We did have a quick lunch with Mom but she was really busy with her work calls. This evening, after dinner, Dad and I went to the City Council meeting while Mom and Daniel enjoyed the time at home.
