Come Monday...Remedy Skin Repair Cream

“Come Monday…” is a weekly series that will involve a review of, or commentary about,  websites, movies, documentaries, television shows, sports, music, and whatever else may tickle my fancy at the time.  Be assured that these reviews will be generally positive, as in accordance to the Jimmy Buffett song “Come Monday.”  This is subject to change, however.  In fact, I would be most derelict in my duties to neglect going on a rant every once in a while.  For rants promote change, and change can be good—right?  Therefore, since good is generally considered as being a positive force in 99.3% of the parallel universes that I am aware of, even a rant could be considered as being something positive, and a genuine hissy-fit would be even better (so I’m told).

Yes, there is nothing like looking at a really gross picture to help purge the remains of Turkey Day overindulgence from your system, but that is not what I am going for here.  For this is really about something that can really help with skin conditions like that.

No, that is not a picture of my right leg, but both of my lower legs look quite similar.  It is called [Venous Ulcers], and in my own particular case, the bumps are a lot more pronounced.  In fact, most of mine are at least a half of an inch tall and cover at least two-thirds of the area between my knee and ankle.

To be perfectly honest about it, I do not know if that is really what I’ve got.  For the last few doctors who have examined me have just nodded their heads in recognition, but no official diagnosis was made.

You will find a diagnosis of [Edema] in my medical records, and this is what I’ve got in my head as the cause for whatever is going on now.  For the first sores appeared where the skin on my lower leg had burst from extreme swelling, and those sores evidently grew into the mess that remains.

Yes, I have been tested for poor circulation, which was one of the most painful things I can recall ever having to endure.  For whatever I have makes even the slightest point of pressure excruciating, and while they were going over my lower legs with an [ultrasound] wand, it felt like they were pressing down on them with a rather large vise.

Oh, and it was all for naught, I suppose.  For they concluded that I do not suffer from poor circulation in my lower legs.

Since it does not really bother me until one of our pups starts feeling neglected and goes to get my attention by putting their front paws on one of my shins, I have not given it much thought.  My wife is often used by our Heavenly Father to help remove my head from my rear, however, and she asked me to see if [Remedy Skin Repair Cream] might help.

As usual, I said that I would, and then didn’t.  When He had her tell me, “You think that you are going to die before your legs will have to be amputated, but that’s not what’s going to happen,” I started using the stuff.

To put it mildly, IT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!  For I could see a significant reduction in the size of the bumps after just the first application!

Alas, I cannot say that it all better now.  For my calves still look more like [regulation-sized footballs] than the way they should, but I can tell you that it is looking better and better.

No, this is not a paid review, but I would still highly recommend this product to anyone with a troublesome skin condition.  Oh, and I might add that it also smells plumb purty, but my manly manliness won’t allow it.

  3. As a nurse, I've seen this condition many times in patients I've taken care of. It is a difficult condition to treat. If a skin cream helps, it is worth a try.

  5. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Grace!!! I can't tell you how many different doctors I have been to over the years, and two out of the three hospitals here in Springfield are counted amongst the top 100 in country every year.

  6. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Rae!!! The skin cream hasn't helped with the extreme sensitivity so far, but I do believe that it has helped with the reduction of the bumps. Of course, it may very well be just filling in around them, which makes it appear like they are being reduced in size. (LOL?)

  7. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Sandie!!! Yes, I am a diagnosed Type II diabetic, which I attribute to being so grossly overweight, and it may be a contributing factor to the skin condition. If it ain't one thing, it's another. Oh, and the cream appears to be still working.

  11. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Vicki!!! I suppose it is chronic. For I have had the condition for over 10 years now, and until recently, it has done nothing but get steadily worse.
