Had a super impromptu 77 gathering with yf, william, wp, joa, yt, sui last night. It all started with me and sui feeling v bored online so we suggested going to chill at some cafe for a drink.. but somehow we got more and more ppl to come. hAhaah.. it was a pleasant feeling to sip coffee and just crap crap crap about anything. Maybe we should do that more often.
Watched Narnia on xmas eve. It wasn't as good as I perceived. Probably there's just too much speculation and anticipation causing increased expectations. Found the front part immensely slow and boring to a certain extent..and some parts just looked too idealistic to me, unconvincing to me. Well, perhaps its a kids fairy tale after all..all the more we should view it from a kid's prospective and not compare it to epic blockbusters like LOTR and Harry Potter. I still enjoyed the fantasy and like the small girl- Lucy in the movie. So cute and adorable! haha and the beavers were rather comical too.. Nonetheless I still managed to enjoy the movie. But for now, nothing beats Love Actually for the best xmas movie ever!~ Who has the vcd/dvd I feel like watching it again!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!~!!!
Had this unit christmas celebration and induction for the "new birds"(newly posted in medics) on friday. I was supposed to be on leave!!! And its my only day of leave this month!! But yet i chose to go back to camp. Ayez.. k la I didn't regret going back, in fact, i think i would have if i didn't =P Most of our tuas ppl went back despite being on leave, cox we all kinda know it would be fun just having all of us ard, no matter where we are.. haha.. unlike changi ppl.. they're quite cmi.
Was really hilarious to see tianyeow getting slightly tipsy after our attempts to make him drunk, on the excuse that we want to celebrate his return as a 3SG after the spec course hahaha. Damn funny to see a 23 yr old guy acting like a 16,17 kid jumping around and saying stupid things~ We almost died laughing. And there was jeremy singing to the sleazy tune of Santa Baby by Marilyn Monroe for the individual performance.. hahah quite sporting of him.. and of course he won the Golden Elephant Award(Jin Xiang Jiang), a lame prize created by the organising committee, which we made alot of funny jokes out of it. By the way his sis was the one tt acted in "Pao Ba, Hai Zi" yea the one that won the golden horse..so now there's a golden horse and elephant sitting in his house! how cool la
Sigh. As me, quan and pang were saying.. think we will really miss tmc alot after we ORD.. hahaha we want to ORD but we will miss the life there.. really nan de to have this kind of attitude towards NS i think. Cox most guys would resent their NS life, hate wad they all doing, dread their superiors(ours only a small minority are F***ers), hate their campmates, can't wait to leave the place blah. but ours are somewhat different I would say. Like the company and ambience.. we would have nice memories to keep, but sad to say everyone has to move on to our next phase of life.

Cabbed down to downtown east after the xmas function at changi on fri night to join the usual gang. I was already quite red from the few cans of beer and when i reached there, they were actually waiting for me to start the drinking session.. Aiyo.. I'm just a social drinker la.. We were "eqipped" with baileys, chivas and vodka and of course HL milk, soft drinks to mix with these alcohol. we drank in the form of shot glasses and played stupid games to determine the "drinker", so it wasn't too bad for me.. guess cox i'm quite lucky in these kind of games and majority of us aren't v gd drinkers.. so it was quite fun.. I dun think it was the alcohol but we simply got kinda high and started talking rubbish and taking silly pictures.. I WAN THE PICS KC! but eventually we stopped after 2 of them went down... ronnie vomitted and qida just lie flat on the bed till nxt morning.. hahaha.
And of course there was gift exchanging.. i got back a clcok(thanks ah marc).. v practical..nothing special abt it.. but i think its better den tw's present.. really kinky stuff.. in fact i think its erotic.. hahah some crazy sex toy(courtesy of qida).. Damm funny la.. I dun think u all woun wan to know wad it does exactly..

PRI SCH GATHERING
Met up with 3 gorgeous beauties..*LOL* on fri evening... they are my pri sch classmates namely shiyun, qiuyun and huiqin.. Had a lot of fun crapping with them, somehow our meetings are always filled with laughter, brainless jokes, blah even though we meetup like 2 to 3 times a year? And there wouldn't be moments of awkward silence, no communication barrier. Its really wonderful to be still in contact with them after soooo many years, ten plus years? probably the longest and invaluable friendship that i have forged to date.
Had zhi cha at far east... and i got "suaned" by them for not knowing there's a "xiang ji pa"(those taiwanese chicken snack) stall. Come on man, its not my fault for not frequenting that place often cox i see no reason to and whats the big deal.. Muahahaha.. Anyway thanks for the dinner as it was suppose to be my belated birthday treat =)
Took a stroll down the main orchard shopping belt after dinner. It was really people mountain people sea. The ambient xmas festive mood could really be felt with all the crowd and groups of people carolling, dancing blah outside various shopping complexes.
Thanks sy for driving us home in a stylish black mazda 3. And she passed her driving at first attempt! its gonna be my turn on 11 jan. *cross fingers*
ANGLICAN WELFARE EVENT
I was one of the 3 person in charge of transporting food from semb camp to the simei home for the event. On our way there, there's this F__ed up taxi driver who cut into our lane so abruptly that the driver had to do an E-brake. He's really a ##$%#%!%^&! So u can guess wad would happen to some of our food on our mini van. A few trays of saucy food spilled... And when we opened the back door of the van.. the food was actually dripping off the van and a mini pile of it landed on the road...DAmm messy la...tamade.. stupid taxi driver...We had to quickly clear up and move on as we were already getting late.. so sway... But its for a good cause so nvm la. haha

Xmas song for this festive season! Been looking for this song.. quite catchy and nice I find, with a retro feel =P I remebered playing it non stop on repeat mode while i was on duty on last yr's xmas duty with joel.. but i'm still not sick of it. Guess I would still be sending some cards out this year thanks to my friends for spoiling market lol. And I would be branded as heartless and ungrateful if i didn't. Kidding la. Its a season of sharing ya i know.. bleahz.. i need to buy cards and send them out soon.. getting late..
Realised raffles city its actually a pretty nice place to shop. Huge stores, nice brands, nice setting and lesser crowd compared to j8, orchard blahz. Even those more normal brands like OP, giordano lo0ks welcoming cox their shops look alot more spacious, neater and less chaotic.
Met up with a couple of s77 ppl on tues evening, haven seen joan and zixuan for some time.. nice to see u ppl again. Went to this restaurant managed by shatec named petals as recommended by elvin. Food, ambience and service was not bad, above average i would say. Had quite a feast consisted of norwegian salmon as appetiser and lobster brisque (some "tomato-ie" soup with chunks of lobster meat), seafood linguine for main course, and finally a mango mirror desert plus coffee/tea. Quite a sinful indulgence i would say.. Haha. Nice place to chit chat while eatin as it takes some time to serve the food.

Stupid pipe under the sink in my dispensary burst and broke apart this afternoon.. =(
We were chatting halfway *as usual*the "thuang" venue in our med ctr when we heard a weird sound of gushing water.. To our horror, the next moment we saw brownish water flowing out of doors of the cabinet which is directly beneath the sink.. yucksZ* And so everyone ran hopelessly for their lives..literally. So much so for calling ourselves soldiers protecting our nation when all they could do was nothing but to shout "sai zhui! sai zhui!" (shit/dirty water) and run out of the dispensary. One of them even cuddled up to a chair to a corner.. i shall not reveal who that person is =P
So at this crucial moment here comes the hero! the man! the dispensary i/c! who else man.. it had to be me.. its my department... I bravely opened the cupboard and had to fight the oncoming splashes of water as i tried to turn off the main switch.. Fortunately, the water is not sewage water or wad sai zhui, its just the pipe transporting portable water broken into 2 (wondered how can that happen) and its the rust that gave the water its disgustingly brownish appearance..
well, at least they helped to clean up the mess after i switched off the mains.. luckily most of the stuff i store in that cabinet are waterproof and non essentials/important stuff. not like drugs or wad..
Would be going to taipei from 7 june to 12th june with ken tw poh and ron.. still so far away but we had to book by 13 dec to get the jetstar promotion.. $266(2-way) including taxes! booking the hotel seperately.. hope nothing crops up during that period.. anyway ORD le so shld be free! Hope i can get to sail to taiwan (kaohsiung) too for my ORD trip in april.. then i can clear leave and go for dental alot alot earlier than expected.. thats the best case scenario la.. it all depends on when is that irritaing audit for the medical centre. sighz. *hoping for the best man*
Duty on sunday with qw and cheehan was quite fun.. played table soccer like the whole day(new form of entertainment for medics hahaha) In addition, we had a new fridge and bread toaster in our med ctr too.. so we made full use of this "excellent facilities" by preparing our own toast, noodles, blah blah. ended up eating alot more than usual i guess despite not ordering deliverys from outside(which we usually do for wkends)
having a class dinner tmr.. hope it would be fun

My bones are aching now man..must be due to 3 hours of tennis on sat and 2 hrs of skating today.. But it feels good!~ ahaha.. I think it just gives me an excuse to spend more.. next on purchase list: tennis racquet and skates! Beginning to find rental skates sucky.. its like for the same amount of strength u blade/stride, personal skates will definately allow u to skate over a greater distance with greater ease..But not so soon la.. prob next yr after CNY! Must let my wallet rest awhile.

Had mass casualty drill today..irks.. I had to be one of the 3 medics to go out with the ambulance on site and treat casualties and bring them back to med ctr. Normally I stay in med ctr and just prep the place and help out at the resus room, which is much easier.
Den upon reaching scene, I forgot how to immobilize a pelvic fracture!~! Sianz.. so i could only give an IV(intravenous infusion) and i din know must put cervical collar.. when loading him on to spinal board... 1st thing tt came to mind was "what has pelvis injury got to do with neck rite?" anyway my snr medic also not sure.. but later my MO says it does affect the whole spine... so u could imagine there were some discussion and comments about my casualty during debrief. Snr medic din say its my fault.. cox he himself also abit not sure.. Haha
The temp MO taking over our MOIC as he goes on leave is really f***-ed up. Maybe bcox he's an army MO. Thinks so highly of himself and can do whatever he wants with his captain rank. Treats and command us medics like dirt... I tell u without medics, MOs will die la, fails to appreciate that we are helping him do his job and not realising that actually he's taking so damm bloody long to see patients. Threatens to charge patient over the slightest thing. Makes unreasonable reqeust of wanting patient to say out rank name i/c no. and knock his door before entering his room. come on man u think this is tekong bmt or wad.? Suan me for not knowing how to count my medicine when i politely requested him to prescribe drugs in rounded figures(to facilitate stocktake) N lots of other stupid stuff he did la..
Our MOIC on the other hand, fails to show his power and raise up to the occassion when the situation warrants it. Sighz. What he does and says doesn't project the competent and confident image a doctor should have. Put it simply, really "buay gan" You woun think that he's a doctor if he's in civilian clothes. I'm not just criticising his appearence or wad he wears... but its the way he does things, i would call it irresponsible sometimes. Even to the extent of letting us poor medics take the blame/rap/shit for him when he has much more power to deflect shit and get things done.
On tues, while trying to fix a patient's dislocated shoulder back, it took him 4 medics and great deal of time to move it back in place. Imagine how painful it was for the patient, and instead of showing more assurance and quickly fixing it back.. he was like "Eh.. i got no strength lei.. help me pull.. eh itzz this way? hmm... " den as n when he whispers to another medic " aiyer.. i dowan to fix it la.. i gotta go already... got duty.. " and complains and complains.. and the funniest thing is when he finally got it in.. he didn't even realise it.. he went" eh itzz in already.. let me test". All the while he;s like showing this hesitant and "dunno-wad-to-do" kind of attitude. WTF la..
He gives us the feeling that he doesn't really want to be a doctor, and just wan to siam as much things as possible, sometimes at the expense of other ppl or even us medics. For heaven's sake, if u're a doctor, act like one and perform ur job with more professionalism.

I haven told u guys i bought my ipod! - Nano though muahaha.. Bought the 2 gig one. So its $348 +$0(they giving a free charger!!some promo!) + $30+ (a transparent clear plastic cover). Figured out that if I want to buy the 4 gig one might as well pay 100 bucks more to get the new ipod video. The ipod video is really too exp for me.. imagine $548 + $50+(for charger) + $30 to $40(a nice decent protective casing) wah $600+ le.. Madness..But its a overwhelming 30 gig good buy i would say if u have the money
Nvm I still love my nano.. its so slim and sleek! Can fit my jeans pocket..Haha.. Anyway Apple's really good at marketing and packaging their products.. Its more of a fashion icon than a mere mp3 listening device la. Thats what makes people crazy over it.. Apple's really smart...And their ipods are manufactured in china by the way.. so imagine how much they are saving from production cost and how much they are earning~! Creative should wake up their idea and concentrate on their sound cards/technology.. Really no match for the great apple. ahaha
And I'm going to Sun Yanzi's concert... Managed to get 15% discount on the $128 tix thanks to chek's bro.. And joa i think u're right.. As u can see I'm spending like nobody's business now... And i forsee more spurlging ahead pre/post xmas, CNY period.. ARgh sux.. this must stop soon...All these simply adds on to the pressure of passing my driving test on 11 jan... Apple's really smart...And their ipods are manufactured in china by the way.. so imagine how much they are saving from production cost and how much they are earning~! Went ECP again on sat...not bad la now my skating improving le... but still got alot of stuns/techniques i dunno.. hahah i still refuse to invest in a pair of skates..
Watched harry potter in the evening.. Somehow i always feel that the movie did the original book injustice. But i dun blame the director /scriptwriter la.. 700+ pages condensed into 2,3 hr movie.. tts really hard.. But the whole movie seemed really choppy and unlinked from scene to scene.. "Really catch no balls" if u nv read the book... There's no proper buildup.. But the effects r still superb and captivating for me.. hahaha.. And how could I not mention Emma Watson's she's just so glam and charming.. I really wished i could have just one dance with her haha.
Really no mood to work nowadays in med ctr.. everyday feel like getting off.. argh sianz.. its like hols, xmas r just rd the corner.. and its like been rainning non stop these days.. feeling soo lazy.... ahahaha.. yea Slacker..

Watched Exorcism of Emily Rose just now...Wah man It was really mind blowing. Thot it was a really good movie. Definitely deserves 5 stars~
They story revolves around a court trial, where the accused, a priest was charged for negligently causing the death of emily, who was believed to be possessed by demons by the priest or thought to be suffering from epileptic psychotic mental disorder(sth lydat) by the prosecutor.
The prosecutor claims that the priest's advice to stop medication and proceed with purely spiritual treatment had directly caused Emily's death. The defendant lawyer on the other hand, seeks an open mind from the jury and judge, and attempts to show that there's this possibility of demon possession using both scientific and religious points of view.
The whole show was very fast paced and intriguing. It isn't about mindless, cheap thrills.. its really freaky.. I literally felt chill down my spine.. it sets u into thinking.. The contortion of emily's body/joints into various awkward positions during the attacks of seizures, her excruciating expressions, uncontrollable screams was mentally disturbing and it really made an impact on the audience. The pain that she seems to be experiencing was really unimaginable. (She deserves an Oscar for that man)The scene where tears of blood trickled down Mother Mary's face.. was gosh... really disturbing to me..This horror movie is really a class of its own and certainly not to be missed. What's more it is said to be based on a true story... the thought of it being reall just give me shudders.. And after watching it.. I dun think u dare to wake up at 3am anymore. Weekend was sooo short.. thanks to sat duty.. A BIG ThAnkYou to weepoh who treated me to dinner on fri night.. Yes and u dun have to worry abt being paiseh bcox of chi bu bao cox I was really vvv full Hahaha. And what happened later to me on mahjong at kenvin's house was really incredibly, unbelieveably, amazingly, lucky!! Hahaha i asked ken to let me play for 1 west wind and within tt wind i won close to 20 bucks HAhahaah and later on sat my dad won 4d from the no. tt i picked during my birthday.. heheheh.. only a few hundred bucks but its still considered kinda LUckY! heheh

So i guess I finally won the "Who sends the most promptly and fastest birthday sms" contest this year... YEAH.. i dethroned Huimin after 4 yrs HAHAHAHA... HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!!
Finally 20. sigh i enjoyed telling ppl that i'm 19 while everyone is at 20.. it just feels good to be young.. hahaha say goodbye to digit '1' at the front.. ayez.. no particular birthday wish/resolutions in mind.. just wanna be happy and enjoy life for now... heheh.. oh wait.. mayb there's one.. pass driving test on 1st attempt!.. not v greedy rite?
Thank everyone for remembering, and of cox esp to my buddies... aiya u know who u are for "celebrating my birthday" though it felt like a normal saturday gathering LOLx. Thanks for everything and bringing much fun all the time end esp during boring weekends... hahaha

Finally completed my driving lessons yesterday... i took so long la..30 lessons.. freaking hell.. it does make me a slow and steady driver rite? =P booked TP on 11 jan... 1 day before my PDL expires.. hopefully i can save 25 bucks and get my license!!!!!!.. ahaha
Going to have a sumptuous meal with my parents later.. haven gone out with them for quite some time... need to catch up with them.. haha... Sigh i've been eating alot lately... shucks man.. hahah heck it its my birthday!!

Been really lazy to blog... And I always forget wad i wanted to blog about once i sit in front of my com even though i have lots of ideas/comments like hours ago. hahaha...
Left with 2 more lessons to end my driving before i can book for my practical.. Last lesson was damm sia sway... knocked down pole while doing parallel parking.. It was the 1st time it happened and it had to happen during my assessment .. well at least its not during my test...
Went to this jap restaurant called Hanabe at King's Acarde(beside Coro) with qw, joel, pang, st, ivan, songda. Its the restaurant with the chinese word "huo"(fire) signboard. Think most of us would remeber walking past and seeing the prominent signboard... it was joel's recommendation since Kuishinbo was fully booked yest...It was ala carte buffet so we could just order and wait for them to serve.. I would say the food is nice for a buffet standard.. damm shuang... can order all the sashimi and tempura u want.. there was unagi though surprisingly.. hahah we just ate without asking where it was from lol.. We were rather rowdy and noisy.. think one whole bunch of ever hungry and ever noisy NSFs would always be a nightmare to all buffet restaurants.. lol
who cares man.. as long as we're having fun and freaking full...

Thanks for your b.day present and for keeping me in suspense until this coming sunday=( Haha anyway we played mahjong at ken's house like hours after u touched down? hahah damm hardcore gambler lei... i went to east coast on sat again! but this time round i came back with a super big blister on my right foot... guess this time round the skates didn't fit my foot v well and also because we bladed a greater distance..
Had some unit function in the morning at yishun safra.. some bowling competition btw tuas and changi med ctr.. we didn't even want it in the 1st place but some how it just went through... Mainly because most of us are not really into bowling, and we still had to pay 5 bucks for 2 games.. Anyway we still managed to thrash changi hands down.. upside down wadever...LOL.. It was quite fun after all.. I managed to get strikes/spares though i anyhow bowled.. As i was telling quanwen, placement/accuracy is more impt than strength...den somehow i was damm taiko to get a pretty respectable score of avrge 100pt LOL.
Had lunch at northpoint den the whole gang of us cabbed down to east coast to blade/cycle.. In the end only a handful of us bladed.. wah it was really damm shag man to blade compared to cycling.. Cox i'm not really that pro they had to stop quite a few times to wait for me. There was no way i can keep up with bikes man.. LOL..quite jialat.. Its really great form of exercise man..
Grabbed a quick bite at parkway then proceeded home to freshen up and join kc wp sw ch n tw for dinner..Had steamboat buffet at this coffee shop bside jubilee entrm ctr at AMK.. The variety of food was a far cry from the one is marina south.. but nonetheless it was much healthier as there was no bbq and less crowded plus there was this big fan above us so it was pretty comfortable and enjoyable to just eat n slack the night way away after such a hectic day..

I went to east coast again! 2 weeks in a row.. hahah nice place to spend the weekend.. got sun got babes n sea(not as if i dun get to see the sea everyday =P) but its just that the place seemed v far n out of place now that weepoh does not have a car le..hahaha. Managed to blade *finally* broke away from the normal boring routine of cycling. Warmed up for at least an hour before i felt confident again...think the last time i bladed was with my jc mates in j2... we were one whole pathetic bunch man.. some trying to balance, some desperately trying to brake but in the end had to bump into a tree/lamppost to stop the acceleration. How funny can tt be... We were lauughing at each other like mad la..
Really must salute KC for his persistence and nv say die attitude... who perserved to the end.. LOLx.. Think its the first time for him whereas most of us had tried skating/blading before just that we've lost touch of it..And he still wants to come back again next week.. LOLx..
Went Parkway Parade for dinner... Hmm that place has chaged alot since the last time i went there... Alot more upbeat n trendy blahz... Fish n Co was too crowded thus we settled for burger king.. Went ken's house for mahjong after that.. Lost again! Despite having much training sessions during weekdays =P I haven won for a very long time i think.. sianz.. My luck was quite gd..as in i had v nice cards but always cannot win those 5 tais type..ARgh.
Going to watch 40 yr old virgin at cini later.. Nice weather to zzz man... need to cut my hair but i'm lazy.

Went bbq steamboat at marina south on fri evening with all the medics, some snr medics and dr adrian.. Wah lau it was really *fresh meat* all the way with no veggies... It was actually better to go on fri or weekday evenings as it is less crowded and u can get to eat more of the nicer cooked food.
ANd one vv impt thing. If u were to open a buffet restaurant in future, esp if it is a seafood rest, u must list this guy named samson chuang in ur banned customer list. The amt of prawn heads/shells that he deshelled can be described as mountains of plates of it. Basically i think he only ate prawns except for the occasional servings of bbqed pork,beef that we dished to him. lol
As usual, we had fun trying to cook the live prawns.. wah damm freaking evil... we place it...tail end in the steamboat first.. den see it struggle... den turn over den put the head in.. den finally placed the whole prawn in.. lol... think we will reincanate as prawns in future..and be cooked in similar manner.

Just had buffet dinner at phoenix cafe.. the cafe/restaurant at the basement of phoenix hotel.. Dr Goh's treat! He's really generous with us medics.. A really nice guy.. in fact i think he's one of the best MOs ever. He's really a pleasant person to work with. Always very cool, calm and zai, hardly complains, responsible and yet not garang. Haiz.. think we're really going to miss him.
The food was not bad =P I tried putting icecream on roti prata + choc sauce and fruits.. hmm really not bad.. taste like crepe lol... shucks i better plan to workout this weekend... haha

Somehow i think we gonna be banned from blogging soon or sth.. sighz. This is our free space for us to express what we feel, and think towards certain issues. And in the process of it, there's definitely bound to be some criticisms being made, be it towards people, towards issues or even organisations. We should not be deprived of this freedom of speech(we already dun have much in our country), or even be penalised for just sharing of views.
Yes I agree that bloggers have a part to play in being responsible for what they post and not be too explicit or extreme in their comments, but many at times we should let the reader choose what they want to agree upon. They have their own sense of judgement, and they should be exposed to other people's opinions in order to have a better understandingand clearer picture, and to be able to differentiate whats right and wrong.
Realistically speaking, despite the numerous benifits internet has brought us, it has too, been a host of so much evil, and there's no way we can stop anyone from accessing them. It's really up to the maturity of the reader to choose what they want to read/view.

Had bbq at ronnie's place yesterday.. hmm not really considered a cathhigh bbq i think cox we invited a few other peeps, benjamin mel and ronnie's campmate kenneth. Kudos to Ben for volunteering to buy n prepare a large bulk of the food! the chops n squids n Japanese sweet potato(yellow flesh ones are jap accordin to ben) are really yummy. saw marc and gavin whom i seldom msee nowadays.. perhaps we could have invited more ppl... but I wasn't really involved in organising the bbq neither contacting ppl part.. kekeke.. i didn't even know why all of a sudden we're having a bbq.. hahaha... but nonetheless we had fun and enjoyed ourselves..
Went to play LAN after that..hahaha before setting off from ronnie's place, we realised that within the group of us (roughly 20 ppl) already got 4 cars le.. is this common or wad...duno if ppl these days are really getting richer.. or maybe our youngsters today are really getting pampered? yah anyway LAN again.. its getting abit sian but somehow ppl around me still keeps playing..in fact more n more of them i realised... tt raider's cafe in amk.. was really... argh... super lok kok. It is an old cinema converted to a LAN shop, have over 100 pcs there, so u can imagine how noisy it is. Ironically, thruout my whole game, I hear no shit from my com...sth wrong with the game or wad, and during the 1st few rounds our coms took turns to hang and we keep having to restart. And when we restarted, to our horror, the com was running on windows 98... bleahz... well at least the air con was working properly... haha
Went to play LAN after that..hahaha before setting off from ronnie's place, we realised that within the group of us (roughly 20 ppl) already got 4 cars le.. is this common or wad...duno if ppl these days are really getting richer.. or maybe our youngsters today are really getting pampered? yah anyway LAN again.. its getting abit sian but somehow ppl around me still keeps playing..in fact more n more of them i realised... tt raider's cafe in amk.. was really... argh... super lok kok. It is an old cinema converted to a LAN shop, have over 100 pcs there, so u can imagine how noisy it is. Ironically, thruout my whole game, I hear no shit from my com...sth wrong with the game or wad, and during the 1st few rounds our coms took turns to hang and we keep having to restart. And when we restarted, to our horror, the com was running on windows 98... bleahz... well at least the air con was working properly... haha

I dreamt that I was in hongkong again! with who i forgot hahaha... Heard from cheowlit that he and daryl are going to tokyo!!! Tokyo! I wan to go! But back to reality.. think is quite infeasible la.. I really dun have that kind of money. Still haven recover from those exorbitant driving lessons.. they are really a daylight robberry! Quanwen tienyeow they all planning a trip to taipei or bangkok... think if i go with them my cath high kakis will murder me.. Dunno la.. everyone is just talking abt it but no one is taking any concrete actions.. we shall see ba..

The dreadful audit in my medical centre is finally over!! My dispensary got deducted 1/2 mark, for something which i had initially wanted to rectify but my snr medic said no need.. haah so its not my fault=P
Feeling abit sleepy now prob due to the gym session i had just now.. haven really exercised for sometime. been really unhealthy with all the staying up late/ and gorging of food whenever we stay over at the med ctr..And i really think i need a tan but too bad theres no sun today... so decided to go gym instead of swimming.. Had driving before that..S, crank course and E brake were quite fun. always been able to complete my subjects for driving more smoothly n quickly during days when i dun need to work. Yes, i'm on off today.. but I've been woken up by phonecalls ever since 830am.. Argh~! keep asking me abt stuff.. quite irritating but i can't blame them.. they're helping me in some way too ensuring that things r in order...

Think we're not going hongkong le. Mainly due to financial constraints and the fact that i just went in march. thinking of bintan or somewhere cheaper. Haha abit guilty for being such a cold blanket.
Celebrated kc's birthday at the glasshouse on saturday. Tw went to get a birthday cake for him sneakily and we managed to keep it a surprise till we reach the restaurant. But to our horror, he bought a $55 cake weighing 2.4 kg! When there were only 6 of us??? At first when i saw the receipt i thot it was the cost of his shirt that he purchased from topman as the receipt was taken from his topman plastic bag. Upon closer scruntiny i saw the words"Secret Recipe", "Chocolate Banana Cake 2.4 kg ---- $55.00" *Pengz* After dinner, we proceeded singing him a birthday song in the restaurant with kc standing on the chair, taunted by the pleasant-looking waitress who said she will sing if he did so.. hahah damm funny. everyone was looking at us at that point in time. And kc was so greedY! he took so long to make his birthday wish(so many wishes!) but he claimed that he was wishing for us.. haha.. We really had a hard time trying to finish the cake which obviously we didn't - after our seafoood platers n blah.
Proceeded to my house for mahjong after that as ken's place is now forbidden grounds after going there every week to ka jiao their family. I didn't have any extra luck even though I had home ground advantage. Sigh. In fact my luck was so lousy that the only time i won money was from a 'kang', and that was like the last rd of game liao. Lost 20+ bucks in the end, fortunately or unfortunately, there weren't many 5 tais so my losses aren't that bad. but still feeling the pain.

Hmm.. the results of superstar wasn't the least of unexpected la. I was like aiya.. weilian is just going to win again. though I did hope that a miracle would happen, a miracle that would do kelly and junyang justice, and I was actually foolish enough to believe that my 3 bucks(5votes) could help kelly would be useful. LOL.. waste my money. Act of impulse man. Anyway, I really thought that kelly shone that night. She was really glamourous, with all the different sets of costumes and dresses, it totally looked as if it was her concert. Think she sang better than all her previous times too. The only time i thot weilian did better was the aca pella part. But i was totally sick of him trying to act pathetic with those lovey dovey songs. haha no offence sia.
Anyway come to think of it, both of them are going to get a recording contract. And the funny part is kelly was offered one by universal, while weilian was offered by play music, haha. I'm sure everyone can tell which company has more potential and better reputation at packaging and cuttting albums for singers. Superstar was indeed a success in terms of commercial value, but ultimately the final choice was definitely disappointing. It was more of a media manipulation and ploy, to earn attention and of course money. disappointing.

just had driving lesson. Sth funny. I got the instructor that perpetually dozed off everytime again. I was along AMK ave 1, real long straight road, he didn't give any instructions, so I assume we are going straight. Until we almost reached serangoon, then I was like er.. then he suddenly woke up and realised we had overshot. He was wearing sunglasses, so I couldn't really tell he was sleeping or not. Clever way to slack. So I had to drive into the private estate and narrow roads, and make a turn back towards amk.. haha but I had fun driving long distances. Feeling much more confident now, just that instructor been complaining that i drag my gear for too long and don't change up fast enough.
Haha got weepoh to drive me from home to simlim to check wads wrong with my graphics card on sat. At a price of course, treated him to lunch. Hahaha. Thanks anyway. Supposedly I had already tried uninstalling my driver and reinstalling it(tried a couple of times both with my cd, and the website update) but it still keeps rebooting when my com tries to load windows. As a result I can only get into normal mode after uninstalling my graphics driver. But when they did the same thing over there in sim lim, my com miraculously worked.. Argh felt like an idiot at that point in time. So i thot everything was fine, but when i got home, and tried to play some video files, I got really bad images and resolution but the funny thing was I could still play my warcraft perfectly. So after some trial and error, i stumbed into this toubing shooting option for my graphics card where I could adjust the graphics card accleration, so I tried lowering it(such that I cannot play gamesthat require nice 3D images) and amazingly the video could play properly. Argh wth is wrong with my com man. can someone enlighten me?
Finished harry potter finally. Read real slowly initially and only picked up towards the end.. front part was kinda boring. Sighz shall not mention too much in case some of u all are slower in reading it than me. Haha had to wait for ppl to finish reading then i can borrow and read.
Didn't realised I had overbooked too many driving lessons like (30+) until I was shocked by my bank acc balance. I was like where did my money go??? hahaha. Hope I woun be needing so many lessons either. My friends are planning to go HK in nov, yes that super double combo holiday week(think its deepavali n hari raya) which happens to my birthday week too, where ppl only need to take like 2,3 days of leave and can go off for the whole week. As much as I want to go, but I'm really like damm broke now from my driving lessons, moreover I've just been there in march this year. hmm... there n again, there's disneyland, dim sum,shopping, blah argh... sianz... I wan more money! gagaga haha.
Meanwhile, really busy at medical centre everyday... tons of paper work to do as audit draws near and there's more n more ppl nagging at me to do things. sianz. The warcraft dota craze isn't quite over yet, kinda funny as I've already long past the dota-obsession period. But i still join them for fun la. heheh.

Rather disappointed and disgusted with the results of jue dui superstar. I think sgporeans should wake up their idea, this is a competition and we're looking for someone who has the looks, dance and sings well. This is NOT a charity show. There's certainly a limit to how much we can sympathise, and at this stage of the competition, its high time that talent becomes a more critical and decisive factor than sympathy. I feel really sad and wasted for junyang.. I realy think it would be a great laughing stock if weilian really wins the competition. . Some of u might find me abit extreme, or prejudiced, but I really feel that voters should cast their votes based on one's talents, and to the who has the ability to be a superstar. Realistically speaking how far can weilian go? I really feel that junyang won him in almost every aspect.

I dun mean to be superstitious or wad.. some how bad things seem to occur after one another ever since the start of u-know-wad month. My auntie(da-gu) passed away yesterday.. actually she was already pronounced brain dead on friday. I was really stunned when dad called me from malaysia(most of my paternal side relatives are in KL) on friday..she had this benign brain tumour and underwent a surgery on monday.. Was kinda worried initially cox the op was already delayed b4hand due to her HBP, but dad called on tues saying that the op was successful so I thot everything was fine and over. But things took a turn and her condition kinda deteriorated on thurs/fri i think, her BP became very unstable and eventually causing her brain to suffer from a lack of oxygen..and...
I can't help but feel abit affected even though I'm not very close to her, mainly due to infrequent communication and contact.. think the last time i saw her was in dec'03.. but she's always been a very nice and caring aunt, and worthy of my respect. i really din expect things to turn out this way.. Somehow I dunno why i feel abit guilty or wad, I think its just me regretting not seeing her for the last time and spending more time with her b4 she left. Should I have went back to KL with my dad for the past 2 weeks.. haiz. To everyone out there, thought its a very old saying but pls cherish the ppl around u, b4 its too late. Somehow I feel abit guilty for spending my weekend as per normal, its not as if i'm cold blooded, but i just feel that cooping myself at home and brooding over it will not make things better.. Haiz.. I hope my dad is feeling okie..
And now I have this grandaunt in hospital now waiting to go into operating theatre, she has HBP too... think she has some gall bladder infection or dunno wad. not v sure. I really hope she will be fine.

today's lesson was kinda enjoyable. Finally went out to the road. I felt much more in control and confident today with the clutch and accelerator. Able to move off the car more quickly without stalling and without vibrating the car, as well as stopping smoothly and change gear,clutch down in time.... only thing i need to improve on is to up gear more smoothly n quickly while acclerating. Taxi drivers are so unfriendly to newbie drivers lor... I was just abit slow in moving off when the light turned green den that idiot honked me...wah liew...
Went marina south for dinner on sat. Heheh haven been there for quite some time. I din know tt there was actually some ndp thingy going on there. as in ppl actually got tickets to watch the live telecast of the parade thru a huge projector screen set up at the field there. kinda dumb and pathetic idea i thot. got to see fireworks due to the proximity of padang over dinner. Hmm the prawns were really fresh and sweet. Bbqing the half alive prawns(some still jumping in the container) was hilarious and def not for the faint hearted. LOL.the prawns put up a futile struggle but sadly perished under our brutal chopstops and sizziling bbq plate MuAhahaha.

I've been such a lazy bum. Haven't updated for ages. And i think this blog layout sux. but i just refuse to do anything. =P
Passed my final driving theory, not bad considering it a first attempt. I was admittedly kinda kiasu.. haha studied and looked through everything i could. the online theory lessons, theory book and most importantly the 400 MCQs from past yrs test guidebk which i got from joel. Also had my 1st lesson last week, haah i remembered being so tired when i got there..it was friday 2055hrs, last weekday of the week totally drained. But I still found it quite fun and interesting, though the clutch thingy is quite a nuisance. Guess its a matter of getting used to it. My instructor got so bored of me practicing reversing and moving off that he fell asleep.. HmmpHz...Only after i told him i'm confident liao den he let me proceed to driving round the circuit.. haha certainly looking forward to this sun's lesson.
Broke away from the normal routine during the last weekend.. went to cheowlit's house in jb to stayover for the weekend with daryl. Kinda enjoyed ourselves.. it was pretty sinful considering the amount of food we gorged. haha I constantly felt full sia...hahah seriously not exaggerating. Snacked around in city sq and A&W! haah.. missed A&W curly fries man! and top it up with a rootbeer float..yUm! Had dinner with his family at some chinese restaurant which was quite a drive away from JB..but could understand why their family has been going back there all these while. after trying the food. haha. Went for supper at midnight at some street hawker/opitiam place.. the chee cheong fun was really oiishiii~~ Was quite convenient for us to get around as cheow drove us.. to shopping and stuff.. yea.. sigh when will be able to drive around?? think should be sending him off this sat afternoon..
Work at medical centre seemed to have taken a toll on me ever since I've taken over as dispense i/c. Sianz... I always feel likei have tons of work to do.. haha.. Wads worse those snr medics/regulars are not making life any much better by implementing lots of new policies and systems. Whole load of crap. Ppl say xin guan shang ren san ba huo, but i think we have like as much as jiu(9) ba huo... so many newly appointed ppl trying to "show their power n garangness" and trying desperately to prove themselves at the expense of us lowly NSFs. Argh.. haaha we're like peons.. "work work"...WTH...we shld lead an uprising!! But fortunatley, ppl there are rather fun and nice to work with la... perhaps the only nice thing at the medical centre is the people there ba.
Hmm wadver it is, the weekend is near le! at least for me now, all i can do is to look forward to weekends and driving lessons.. and of course ORD.

Just had chemical defence course back at Nee Soon today..Haha we navy personnel were really balonglong.. whole group go for break but returned 10 mins late... den water parade when the rest were using that green ugly bottle we were taking out our civilian fanciful bottles..haha quite a funny sight. Basically the whole course was kinda slack.. they gave us super long canteen and lunch breaks till it becomes very sian haha. the only irritating part was just doning of the freaking thick and uncomfortable suit. And tmr should be a half day..yeah..
Just to share sth.. My friend working in the chamber was telling us that day that was this guy who came in with DCI(decompression illness) - a condition where air bubbles, mainly nitrogen gets trapped in a particular part of a body due to rapid ascent during diving.. ( a result of surounding pressure decreasing too quickly). In this case the DCI occured at his balls(ya u din get me wrong, testicles). So his testicles became twice its normal size. But then, Dr Lee heard it wrongly, he thot it was his penis that became twice its normal size.. so he exclaimed," why is the patient still complaining?? shouldn't he be happy about it?" hahaha

Sianz i just lost like near 35 bucks over mahjong this weekend. Sighz. Utterly disgusted. Had breakfast at delifrance this morning.. obviously it had to be kenvin's treat! with me contributing roughly 50% of his earnings... I will have my revenge next time!! LOLx
Met up with william and a handful of jc classmates on fri night.. Was chilling and crapping around while munching sushi at the suki sushi rest in cini. Well william is flying off this coming sat to US naval academy for 4 years.. All the best dude! Thanks for the movie treat too! hMm monster-in-law was an unexpectedly hilarious and entertaining show.. haha.. probably because i was prejudiced towards J -Lo. HA.

Sianz i just lost like near 35 bucks over mahjong this weekend. Sighz. Utterly disgusted. Had breakfast at delifrance this morning.. obviously it had to be kenvin's treat! with me contributing roughly 50% of his earnings... I will have my revenge next time!! LOLx
Met up with william and a handful of jc classmates on fri night.. Was chilling and crapping around while munching sushi at the suki sushi rest in cini. Well william is flying off this coming sat to US naval academy for 4 years.. All the best dude! Thanks for the movie treat too! hMm monster-in-law was an unexpectedly hilarious and entertaining show.. haha.. probably because i was prejudiced towards J -Lo. HA.

Been MIA for some time.. hmm let me recall what had happened... okie think i went sailing for a week which i kinda enjoyed though I complained initially. HAha. Was practically like doing nothing everyday onboard thanks to wonderful Dr Mathew who believes in doing everything himself. never seen any other MO like him before. A real nice guy. And can u imagine he's presently studying diploma in law at the meantime while serving his NS.. and he's aim is obviously a double degree.. Law + Medicine??!!? Can you imagine how powerful will that be?
He was telling me about the mistakes that doctors make in hospitals and i vaguely remembered there was this case where there's this patient who came in for some minor surgery. Prior to most surgery, patient has to fast for a certain period of time before entering the OT.. so this guy fasted and everything seemed perfectly normal to the doctors until just before the sugery, they found his vital signs deteriorating and slipped into coma.. so they panicked and scrambled to find out what's wrong wih him, and to their horror, his hypocount was 0.8 (hypocount refs to blood glucose level, and for normal ppl is 4.0 and above, so 0.8 is really very low...). They tried to revive him but it was just too late.. Apparently his hypocount was falling steadily all the while(probably a diabetic pat) just that nobody monitored and bothered to check his condition. Everyone assumed it's just another normal case and hence leading to their negligence. Sighz. though doctors are human after all, and have the right to make mistakes, but when such mistakes occur, who will be so forgiving? not the society, and certainly not the relatives of the deceased. Tough job.
He was also telling me about how lawyers in the US station themselves outside hospitals chasing after patients or relatives asking if they want to sue the doctors for wadsoever reason, causing them unnecessary trauma, pain or even death. Hah..

I'm going sailing! from tmr to fri. to nowhere. BIG SaiGang. will return just in time for the weekend. Haiz... rubbish la.. wad under clinical no need to sail... in the end still ask me to sail out of convenience. Wadever la... go sail can leave medical centre work to pile and rot. Den i will go for off next weeek when i come back! LAlala Bo ga lAnz.
StarWars was quite disappointing. or maybe my expectations were high. It was just pure regurgitation of the story line... no adrenaline rush.. quite boring. think it was just an OK movie. and $9.50's really not cheap man.

Just had MIPA(Medic Individual Proficiency Test) this morning.. I was the only one that managed to insert an IV(intravenous infusion) successfully.. haha. Thanks to my buddy's quanwen good veins LOLx. He created a mini Mt Everest on my forearm on mon man.. he couldn't dislodge the catheter.. at such when he tried to force it in... the catheter kinked and instantly a bump started to grow on my arm... eeks... haha taumatising for me as I haven really got a haematoma before during my CMC period at NEE soon camp.. haha i was laughing hystericaly.. quite funny...
Had a jc class bbq at huangyi's place... went there early to help him with the food and stuff... Haha it was my first time trying to deshell raw prawns and clean and prepare a squid... kinda gross but interesting... found a minute fish head that was partly digested in the squid hahaha. in the end i think the cheese prawns and sotong tasted the best! and its part of my hard work k! =P
the turn out for the evening was great and considered significantly better than usual for our class outings..even though many other ppl were overseas and blar.. heheh.. had fun catching up with u guys.. all the crapping and joking ard...it was a nice feeling to meetup again. stayed over at huangyi's place for the night playing bridge and watching dvds.. Hope we can meet up soon..
