Gotta Love 'Em!

Just in case I need Carson to clean out the garage when he's a little bit older, I found a great opportunity to take some blackmail shots! Carson loves to walk around in my shoes. These pictures are great...pajama shirt, cars underwear (notice his wedgie..hehe), and my shoes.

FYI...just in case you hadn't heard...I have the best hubby in the world. When I got home from R.S. Quilting Club on Thursday night he had made fresh bread. Yum. We enjoyed some fresh strawberry jam, and homemade bread. You are the best hun!

COCKROACH

YUCK! Yes we live in Texas. Yes there are cockroaches. Yes I saw one in our house this morning. AHHH, I about died. Let me play out the scenerio for you and ask you what you would do...
Carson wakes up early morning (6:30 or so). I roll out of bed and go get him at his door so he doesn't wake Hailey. I'm exhausted because I didn't go to bed until after 11 last night. I get him to play with some toys on the gameroom floor while I "close my eyes" on the couch. About 15 min. later Carson has to go potty. After the potty we go into his room to get him dressed. Then I hear..."Mommy, it's a bug!" Keep in mind I don't have my contacts in, or my glasses on and am blind as a bat. I turn around and see a huge brown/black thing on Haileys door. Immediately I know it is a cockroach. Crap, I am blind...I grab the cockroach spray which is 2 steps away under the sink in the kids bathroom. I spray as quickly as I can to get all the spray on it as it is running away. It runs down the door and is half way under the door between the hall closet and the carpet. What would you do? Run and get your glasses? Or try to take it on blind?

Well, I decided I was no good blind and saw this as my opportunity. (Hailey has woken up with all this commotion now and is crying.) I slowly opened the closet door. The nasty bug didn't move. I tell Carson watch this bug. Don't touch it....but if it moves tell Mommy! I run downstairs and grab my glasses and a shoe. I run back upstairs and see Carson staring at the bug a good 5 feet away...it was kind of funny and cute. I hope I don't instill my fear of bugs in him! So I get back and the bug hasn't moved. I slowly start to move all the toys (yep it's the toy closet) that are close to the bug away behind me in case it moves. I would hate for it to touch a toy...yuck! I get all the toys moved out...Carson was a big helper putting them in his room. Then I spray it again and smack it with a shoe. I scream while I smack it with the shoe. (I don't like cockroaches). Carson got all confused..."why did you yell mommy?" Um...try explaining that to a 2 year old. (Almost 3). Okay...the bug is dead...now I have to get a 10 thick toliet paper no paper towel thing to transport the bug into the toliet. It has to be super thick or I will die! I get it in the toliet and flush it down. I throw away the huge wad of paper towels. Yes it was worth the $1 they costed to not have to get close to touching that thing. UGH!!! I hate cockroaches. Yes we live in Texas, and yes they are here too. I bet you Utah folks are thinking the snow isn't quite too bad right now, eh? We have lived here for 2 years and have seen maybe 8 the whole time we've been here. I guess that's not too bad, but I hope I never see one in my house again! Of course there is a photo for your viewing pleasure...I found it on the internet...I didn't take a photo of the one in my house.

Old MacDonald had a farm...E-I-E-I-O

Yes we are still alive. Not that any of you were worried, or missed my posting! I took a little blogging break, but we are back with lots of pictures. Monday we went to Old MacDonald's farm. It is about 10 min. from our house (driving) and I can't believe we've lived here almost 2 years and have never been. It was so fun. The kids had a blast. Here are some photos:
Carson feeding the goats.
I absolutely love this photo....Luke, Kassidy, and Carson looking at the animals.

Pony ride #1

Pony Ride #2

Pony Ride # 3
This cow was HUGE!
We also rode the train 3 times.
Huge sand pile to play in.

This is when a bug flew in Carson's shirt. It was pretty funny. We got it out, don't worry!

This place is a lot bigger than I thought it was from the road.

"Hey don't forget about me!"

Hailey's first pony ride!

Shopping

I know, I know...three posts in one day...this will be the last one...I promise! (for today anyways!) I picked up a few things at Target today and wanted to show Bridger...this is the easiest way.

Hailey's sandals (these are really for the wedding reception next month...but they are so cute she may start wearing them now!) Target - $9.99

Hailey's swimsuit...there were SO MANY cute ones, but this is the one I decided on. Target - $9.99

Carson's sunglasses...these ROCK...they have a velcro band on them so they won't fall off his head. Target - $4.99 ( I know he looks a little silly because they are over his ears...he said they are more comfortable this way then wearing them up a little higher on his head.) (I think these are really for BABIES...but they will work for C man!)

Yes I did look other places than just Target. Walmart did NOT have a good selection unless I wanted a Dora swimsuit or a two-piece....and Target was still a good price, better than the other places I checked.

Random Post

So today is day # 2 we are all alone. Bridger left for a work training on Sunday and we are holding down the fort while he is gone. Today we went to the Wendy's storytime/craft time again. Carson had a blast. He was all about dogs today and got a dog painted on his hand, and got a dog balloon.
It got a little smudged before we got home!

Carson walking his dog.

Here are some random picture for the grandparents (and anyone else who wants to see them):

Aunt Briana gave Carson this dinosaur when he was about 6 months old. Hailey LOVES it:

We tried to get a cute Hawaiian shot of Hailey, but this is as close as we got.

"I will be taking this off now!"

Nothing beats taking a little nap on the couch....in your pullup!
